We had a memorable family get together to celebrate a special birthday! The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and the caretaker was on hand if needed. The chateau is very well equipped and there is plenty to do in the area. We will certainly return in future!
Our stay at the Chateau was wonderful. The property is even more beautiful in person.
Jean Louis was a great host and very helpful.
I couldn’t fault our stay in anyway.
The property has clearly been restored with love and care, we were all amazed at just how magnificent it was.
There was so much space inside and out. All of the rooms were really comfortable and a pleasure to spend time in.
The heated swimming pool and grounds were loved by everyone and the electric shutter on the pool gave me peace of mind as we had a toddler with us.
The kids loved feeding the chickens and collecting eggs for breakfast.
Although the chateau is in the countryside it’s only a few minutes by car or a 15 minute or so walk to a fantastic boulangerie.
Also a short drive away is the town of Saint-Maixent-l'École that has everything that you could possibly need, supermarkets, restaurants etc.
However we spent most of our time at the Chateau as it was so amazing, we didn’t want to leave. The kitchen was superb and well equipped so we were happy to cook and dine in such a unique, special property.
Thank you Jean Louis for giving us the opportunity to stay in your home. We hope to return again

A wonderful castle
Our first sight of this impressive castle was through the avenue of beautiful trees leading to the central quad. There was plenty of living space here but not at all overwhelming, and the fascinating interiors sat very well with all the modern conveniences in what is actually a family home. Living in this castle was wonderfully tranquil but less than a 10 minute drive from local shops and restaurants. The many highlights included:
- a stunning saltwater swimming pool
- being met and given a guided tour of the buildings by the charming host
- large, very private garden
- fresh eggs to collect each day!
- plenty of extras from bocce in the quad to table tennis
We had a very enjoyable, relaxing holiday and would happily recommend staying here

"Magnifique ancien chateau, bien situe.
A recommander!"
