There were 4 full bathrooms (including the annex location) but only one bathtub. We did have little ones and would have been convenient to have one more. Property management was very friendly and helpful.

During a strong thunderstorm the fireplace cap in the ceiling leaked. We did miss a disposal. One of the bedroom ceiling fans did not work at all and needed to be replaced. Other than those few items, it was a great place and great location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house fits perfectly 6 families, cozy and well distributed. The kitchen was very well equipped. Everything you need for a short stay would be there. We had chairs to take to the beach and plenty of games for kids. The administration was quick to solve a clogged tub, possibly from sand. Minor issues : one room in the baseman has no privacy but easy to take care of covering the windows with paper. I would recommend maintaining air flow in the guest house, we noted a very strong smell that never went away by opening windows and doors, mixed old linen and humidity. The house had the same odor initially but took only a day to go away. We also found the condition of the grills not optimal for use. Not damaged but extremely dirty.

The bushes were over grown and impeding on the porch and back yard fire area. The porch was dirty, all the furniture needed to be dusted off before sitting and there were beach wagons, toys and other random stuff thrown about the porch and front yard. The kitchen was well stocked and the basement bunks were great for the kids. Just could use some updates outside.

Close to beach walk, pool amenities and snack shop. Upon arrival, noticed that the landscape was very overgrown and desperately needed cleaned up and groomed. Weeds and trees covered some walk paths. Interior was mostly clean but guest house did not have any water as the main had not been turned on after the winter months. It was obvious that the water had not run in the main house either as all faucets had orange water and air bubbles initially. Not surer how you can effectively clean without water. Exterior of the house and porch areas were nice but need upgrade and cleanup. Shower handle was broken and not useable until a new one installed. Some bedroom fans and the thermostat all neeeded batteries replaced as they would not work.

Needs some TLC

Reviewer Comments: We were a group of 18 and that felt like way too many people for the layout of this house. There is no powder room on the main level, the master bath is shared. Every noise in the kitchen and family room could be heard upstairs and in the basement. Unfortunately, this property needs some serious attention. Most of the bedrooms lack dressers or any extra furniture. The pull-out couch in the basement had a huge black stain on the mattress and we were unable to use it. The porch furniture was a mish mash of chairs. There were some very old wicker pieces that should have been tossed out long ago and the cushions were filthy. The decking and stairs have some algae on them and are slippery when wet. The exterior of the home needs a power wash and a coat of paint. The landscaping is very overgrown and full of weeds. There were broken sand chairs left behind. The kitchen sink was leaking, and the AC broke in the guest house. The staff in the office worked to get things repaired as quickly as possible but it appears that the sink issue is ongoing and has not been addressed by the owners. The office staff did do a good job of communicating with us to give us updates on repairs. The cleaning done by their service on move in day was barely acceptable. The floors still had sand on them, and the glass doors were covered with fingerprints and smudges. The beds were missing top sheets and pillowcases.We have stayed in one other home in Beachwalk that was also in need of repairs and updating and this is our third trip to the resort. Bottom line is that we love Beachwalk and its amenities but wish that management would hold the homeowners to a set of standards to ensure that properties they represent are clean and safe.

It is really showing wear. The porch was extremely dirty and wicker is literally falling apart as was the railing. The worse part was the laundry room. It had exposed insulation and the dryer had a ducted tape start button. My daughter pushed and it went through the back. She was shocked. We reported it and it was fixed. Very small washer and dryer for a family house for 18. The room itself was housing area for broken chairs and fans. There was mold in the basement bathrooms. We are not complainers and have been to Beachwalk 11 times. This was disappointing for the price. Next year we have rented a different house.

To start with the positives, it is so convenient to walk across the street to get to the beach. The family room/kitchen area is nice, spacious and has new furniture. Unfortunately, this is really all we have to say about the positive aspects. This house needs a fresh coat of paint and some landscaping. It’s old, peeling and overgrown with hedges. It’s embarrassing how bad it looks.We were so excited about the enclosed porch off the 1st floor master....until we stepped out onto it and saw the old, warped, moldy, ripped cushions on the furniture. Maintenance changed the light bulb for us out there and even remarked about how old it was. We didn’t sit out there one time. The 3rd floor deck is awesome too! Too bad there is no furniture up there to enjoy the view.The downstairs sleeps quite a few.....but there are no closets, dressers, night stands or luggage racks. Very bizarre and uncomfortable for a week of living.One last thing....the side of the house is strewn with garbage. An old grill, old patio umbrellas, old broken chairs. Honestly....this home owner just keeps collecting his rental fee and doesn’t feel the need to take care of this property. It’s disappointing to spend so much on a vacation and not be able to fully enjoy it. This was our 3rd time at Beachwalk......and while it was the most convenient location, it was definitely the least nice home. We did report some of these issues to the rental office and were told that they knew, the owner knew and they would email the owner. We never heard back.

Blue Star in Beachwalk had everything we needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our extended Thanksgiving weekend in Beachwalk at the Blue Star home. There were plenty of beds for our group. The large kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and it was well stocked with necessities - dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towel, and garbage bags. The large dining table was great for meals and games and the large sectional sofa made it easy for family TV watching. Plenty of parking was a plus. The Beachwalk Office personnel were so cordial and responsive. We needed a couple extra chairs at the table and they were delivered very quickly. We would choose Blue Star again.

We loved the multiple decks, huge living room/ dining room, beach walk right across the street and plenty of parking for our guests. A couple of things need to be repaired, the nobs on the stove, the coffee pot in the apartment didn't work with the coffee machine, and the electric skillet cord didn't work with the skillet. Everything else was great! Plenty of beds, blankets, towels... Kitchen well stocked... Porch chairs... We weren't there long enough to get the fire pit going, but it was another super cute area. Everyone was wanting to come back and I'm sure we will!

Not enough kitchen towels and wash clothes available, no dish soap and the kitchen drawers although full of knives and other utensils there was no rhyme or reason to how they were stored. Just thrown into drawers. We did have a blast and would go back but just look for a different rental.

Beachwalk's Blue Star gets a Blue Ribbon!

Our group of 17 - 8 adults and 9 children - had a very nice week-long stay at the Blue Star house and coachhouse in August 2021. Our group consisted of 4 families - the layout of 3-level house along with coach house worked very nicely to give each family unit their own floor and/or space and bathroom which was great. The reservation, check-in, check-out and communications with management throughout the process was wonderful. The large open living room / kitchen space was a tremendous asset and great for our larger group. Feel the best part of the house is the large wrap-around outdoor porch. The house was well appointed with proper kitchen items and supplies. Our group stayed at an adjacent house the prior summer and both houses we feel offered one of the best locations in Beachwalk with its very close proximity to the beach and a short walk to the pool. A few thoughts/recommendations: 1-The house was clean but needs greater attention to some updates to the furnishings and spaces - in particular many of the mattresses seemed very old and very uncomfortable - newer mattresses and bedding would make a tremendous improvement to our groups stay. 2- Given the large size of the living room, would have like additional seating, a large rug and improved lighting in this room. 3- Would be very helpful to have one of the beds in the lower level sleep two and at least a full-size bed to better accommodate a family on this level. 4- Access to the rear outdoor space is very challenging and not accommodating from the main house or coachhouse - opening the walkway between the coachhouse and screened porch to the rear outdoor fire pit space would help make this space more useable. 5- The large wrap-around porch is super - would be even better if it was screened in as unfortunately the deck was covered nightly with spiders. An outdoor dining table towards the front of the porch would be a great addition too.

So very clean and the best location for beach goers! this review won't let me summarize my rental!

This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. The location was excellent for us because it was so close to the beach. The beach was incredible. If it's super hot, wear your shoes all the way down to the water, we had one day that feet were seriously burned because of the temperature of the sand. I say wear flipflops to the water......There were a lot of other renters that were walking by the house every day, but it did not bother us at all. The beds were quality, no squishy "hot dog bun" beds. Could use some more silverware and glasses maybe, but honestly, not a single complaint! The bathtub spout on the main floor bathroom pulls down to send water to the showerhead, it took us a few days to figure out how to take a shower in there! Also, there is a hot/cold water "wash station" on the side of the garage for use after going to the beach, this also took us a day or two to find. Property could use a new grille, the one on the deck only had 2 of the 4 burners operable, and one of those was on it's way out. Could definitely use more silverware, we ran out every day. Dishes are so so, but honestly, that's what you expect in a rental, so we were not disappointed. Thank you for a great stay. We left all of our beach stuff down on the beach (our personal wagon, blankets, umbrellas, floaties, sand toys, water wings, etc.) every night and just pulled them up near the grassy areas and covered with our blankets. No one took anything the whole week, and it was great not to have to haul stuff back and forth all week. Not sure if this is for you, I figured that if someone stole something, they needed it more than we did. We didn't leave anything really of value down there. We never ran out of hot water either! and the AC worked great! Thanks again!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Size was good. Problems with hot water also kitchen faucet necessitated repair calls. Fire pit was inaccessible from basement egress. Great location and AC goos for hot days.
