Dear Alison, Thank you for your feedback! In the description of our property you can read that "The kitchen opens to a terrace equipped with dining table; the rest of the garden is in common with the family who owns the apartment at the first floor". I hope this has not prevented you from enjoying the garden and its views, and that you'll come back soon: you'll find new mattresses and pillows!

Thank you Clare, it is good to know that you enjoyed your stay and that our cohost did, as usual, an excellent job. As regards the fees, these are clearly stated in the presentation of the property; should you find them too high compared with other similar houses in the surrounding, we could have discussed the matter before your arrival, so as to find a different agreement. If you however think that the price was well rewarded by a high standard stay, why to complain after the departure?

Dear Roland, thanks for sharing you experience with us. We are of course very sorry that it was so bad, and would have liked to help you improving it during your stay. You had the phone numbers of our cohosts to call in case of needs; would you have reported the presence of a mice, we would have immediately sent someone to put traps, just as we did after you left, when the cleaning lady found it. We normally call the rat control every summer (inside and outside the house), and have called it back after yoy left. As for the hit, you were unlucky to spend your vacation in the middle of the hitwave. We have indeed bought 5 fans (one for each room), which we never needed before until the end end of July, which was extraordinary hot. As for the "uncomfortable beds", I hope next time you can give us more instruction on what kind of matresses/pillows you prefer.

Thank you for the feedback Susan. Walking down to the center of Sorrento and coming back up hill is in fact doable, and it was very brave of you to demonstrate it: you really deserve a second visit. We'd be glad to host you again!

Thank you for your feedback Vince, it is a precise and lovely description of our house. It is great to know that your group enjoyed you stay there, and we would very like to host your again. For you next visit, we might find for you a private car with a driver . This is a comfortable way to travel around the Amalfi coast without the stress of driving and parking (which is quite expensive in little towns like Positano or Ravello); moreover, if you rent a private transfer for more then a ride, even the fare to Sorrento downtown and back will be less then 30 euros. As regards public transportation, busses can be very crowded and erratic in the middle August, but in low seasons (March to mid July, and from September onwards) they work better.

Our main concern is to provide a welcoming and positive atmosphere so as to let our guests feel at home and to enjoy their vacation, and I'm glad to know that it worked for you; as regards other people living in the upper floor, in fact, you can occasionally hear them walking (though you can not hear their voices), but luckily enough this not to compare, as you write, with crowded buildings or streets downtown Sorrento.
