Wonderful apartment in Old Gaeta with stunning views from a large balcony. Be prepared to walk up and down 125 or so steps from the property to the seaside area of the city. But worth every step!

Very special place

Loved it. Quirky, because 1000 years old! Walking up steps totally worth it for the spectacular views of the harbor, churches and bell tower.

Amazing Villa

This is the perfect place to experience Italy without tourist. The villa is in the ancient part of Italy with history surrounding. The villa was clean and organized, we were very comfortable. The view from the terrace was spectacular. The kitchen is small but very functional, we ate all our meals in. If you have knee problems, consider the stairs inside the villa and the long stairway to the waterfront. Simona, our host, was very accommodating and even picked us up from the train station! She helped us rent a car and gave us excellent recommendations on restaurants, although, we found it difficult to make reservations. Restaurants are on every block, corner and alley. If you’re a foody, this is your town!

Terrific location, apartment needs work

Gaeta is a beautiful town and this apartment is located in the Medievale section, which means it’s a short drive to the beaches, but walking distance to the the historic section as well as many bars and restaurants. As other reviewers noted, there are many steps to get to the town (124 to be exact), which didn’t bother us but I mention only because if you are physically unable to do that, this would not be the apartment for you. Regarding the apartment- the location is great as mentioned above and the terrace is large and comfortable with an amazing view. The apartment itself, however, does not appear to have been renovated for decades and we didn’t find it particularly comfortable. A small investment to update the bathrooms, kitchen, furniture and linens would go a long way. The listing claims to have WIFI, but it’s actually one of those personal hotspot tools that barely works when used for its original purpose. As far as providing WIFI for an entire apartment, it does not work 90% of the time and because the building is so old, you can’t get service using your own 3G/5G data throughout most of the apartment either (personal data works well on the terrace.) So if you need WIFI access, take note. We have given the apartment 3 stars due to location and the gorgeous terrace, but if you are a person who enjoys a baseline amount of luxury/comfort on your vacation, you may find yourself disappointed.

Old town bay view

This home is a sweet cottage with a balcony overlooking the bay. The home was clean and the kitchen stocked with plenty of dishware and cooking pans. We ate most of our meals at the house made with fresh ingredients from the local markets. The town is quiet and cozy. Can’t wait to plan our next trip💕

Una terrazza sui fuochi!!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa bellissima casa per festeggiare il capodanno ed è stato tutto molto bello! La visione dei fuochi su tutto il golfo è stato uno spettacolo! Eravamo 4 adulti e 3 bambini e la casa è godibilissima. Si respira il sapore della storia e la vista merita il viaggio. La terrazza sicuramente merita più in estate visto che non è esposta direttamente al sole! Consigliata e da riprovare in estate!

Freundliche Betreuung vor Ort, gemütliche Wohnung. Die Ausstattung der Küche verlangt etwas Improvisation, wenn man wie wir viel selber kocht. Größere Töpfe wären schön. Leider konnten wir die herrliche Dachterasse im März nicht so richtig nutzen, weil sie keine direkte Sonne hat und es im Schatten noch zu kalt war. Für den Sommer sicher optimal. Wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder.

Wunderschöne Aussicht

Netter Empfang durch Letizia. Saubere Wohnung mit toller Aussicht. Ohne Auto muss man sich diese allerdings verdienen. Der kürzeste Weg zur Wohnung führt über etwas mühsame Treppen (nichts für Leute mit Knieproblemen), sonst kann man auch die Strasse nehmen (etwas länger). Die Küche ist klein, aber es funktioniert alles. Die Wohnung ist ideal für 2 bis 4 Personen. Auch innerhalb der Wohnung gibt es viele Treppen, man sollte also gut zu Fuss sein. Die grosse Terrasse mit dem tollen Ausblick ist umwerfernd. Der Serape Strand ist gut 2 km entfernt, aber es gibt gute Busverbindungen. Wir haben im September 3 herrlich ruhige Wochen verbracht.

traumhafte Terrasse

"Die schöne Wohnung liegt mitten in der Altstadt und ist nur über einige Treppen zu erreichen. Sie ist sauber und einfach,aber zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Ein Schlafzimmer hat kein Fenster, aber eine Lucke zum Gang. Das Schmuckstück ist die große Terrasse mit dem wunderschönen Blick. Die Küche ist klein ,aber voll funktionstüchtig. Es gibt eine extra Speisekammer und eine Außenspüle. Das Auto kann mit einem Wochenticket überall in der Stadt geparkt werden, wir empfehlen dieses unbedingt vorab über die Agentur zu buchen. Wir waren sehr froh über die Hilfe und Unterstützung durch die Agentur nach einem Unfall. Nochmals Danke an Letizia und ihr Team. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder."
