Located in the heart of St. Andrews just a few short blocks from the first tee at The Old Course, this flat offers comfort and convenience for exploring the town as well as easy access to the University. Shops, restaurants and markets are just a stroll away from the front door. Historical sites including the cathedral ruins, castle and museums are all within walking distance. The building was constructed in 1771, relatively new by St. Andrews standards, where the University itself is 600 years old. The 65 square meter dwelling has two bedrooms, one bath and a full kitchen and can accommodate 4 adults. The living room features a beautiful bay window, fireplace and comfortable seating for conversation and cuddling up on the couch with a great book. Amenities include wireless internet service, flat-screen TV and stereo. The Kitchen contains all modern appliances and cookware. The flat was completely renovated in 2013.

About Roberta and Kurt

Kurt and Roberta are from Seattle, Washington, USA. Their daughter Kathleen graduated from the University of St. Andrews in 2014 and 2015. Their other daughter Clara graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2017. They also own an apartment in Paris, France and a Floating Home on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. Kurt is a Geologist and retired CEO of an Earth Science and Technology Consulting Firm in 2017. Currently he provides business advisory services and executive coaching to organizations and sits on several boards; Roberta retired from the University of Washington in 2017 and currently manages their properties.

We fell in love St. Andrews while our daughter was attending University there. The property needed renovation. Roberta saw its potential and brought it back to its original grandeur. It's location is ideal for exploring the town, the historic ruins and walking to the beach, the Old Course, and as several other golf courses in the vicinity.

All First-class: Location, Comfort, Host, Value

It was a pleasure to enjoy this rare apartment that fully delivers, as strongly positive reviews described -- supported by the best host we've ever dealt with (prompt and pertinent in all responses). By any direct measure -- comfort, coziness, cleanliness, location, bed quality and local manager contacts -- the apartment is as good as any we've experienced in ten rentals. Plus, there was more breakfast food the day we arrived than in any prior experience. That supply lasted our five days and we never had to eat breakfast out once (though I had five cafes on tap from my research). The bar below was zero noise problem, despite our presence during the World Cup mania. Overall, a refreshingly wonderful experience from start to finish

Great location and nicely decorated

The good - great location where you can walk out your door to all the restaurants and shops on Market Street, 5 minutes walk to St Andrews, etc. The apartment has been nicely renovated and has great beds and bedding.

Downside is the kitchen is tiny if you want to cook. Would recommend the owners get some new frying pans as the ones they have weren’t great (everything stuck) and updated cutlery/utensils. There’s is no washer or dryer but we dropped our laundry around corner but costs you. The TV didn’t work at all during our stay and the TV is tiny - not great for us who wanted to watch it in our downtime. We let the owners know. And overall I think the flat is lovely but a little expensive for what you get....they may have priced it because there was an event that week tho.

Fantastic Flat in Heart of St Andrews!

Roberta and Kurt and have a fantastic place in the heart of St. Andrews minutes from the Old Course. The flat has great amenities including thoughtfully provided supplies for continental breakfast! Communication was quick and insightful making the entire experience all the more seamless. Would hope to return and highly recommend!

Location Comfort Character and Charm

A last minute visit to see my daughter a PhD student at St Andrews. Could not have been more fortunate that the flat was available. She was quite happy to escape the confines of her dreary dorm and hang out with dad. Highly recommended!

In a word...marvelous! This flat surpassed our expectations. The location was prime - minutes walk to everything. The decor was right out of Town & Country and made for a warm and cozy environment. It offered all the conveniences of home and everything was in good working order. Roberta and Kurt (owners) were wonderful to deal with. They provided great dinner recommendations and even made it easy to add another night to the end of our stay. Lynne (property manager) was always available to answer our questions and she even stocked a few things in the fridge for our arrival! I warn you, you won't want to leave! This accommodation in the charming town of St. Andrews created a holiday our family will never forget. Scotland is beautiful and we can't wait to return! Don't hesitate....
