About Owner

We are a nearing-retirement age couple from the New York City area with backgrounds in fine arts and restoration, an appreciation for eccentricity, and a limited amount of patience for shoveling snow - so Savannah is perfect for us.

Owner purchased this house in 2007

Why Owner chose Historic District

When our son was clever enough to pass up the blustery New York area where he was born and enrolled in the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in animation in 2004 we began thinking about escaping ourselves - at least for visits. He graduated in 2008 and has moved on to other challenges but we continue to be fascinated by Savannah, one of the most magical cities in the US.

What makes this house unique

For short and longer term visits we have stayed in quite a few Savannah hotels and a dozen or so furnished vacation rentals, so we have a good idea of what we want to find to make us comfortable, which has guided us in renovating and furnishing this house.

Beautiful place, Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Jingle Bells Square House to explore Savannah and the college our daughter is very interested in there! The house is charming and lovely and in excellent proximity to everything in town. Supplies are easy to find, things in the house clearly labeled, and lots of information is provided - we used the recommendations for nearby shops and restaurants with no trouble. Helpful and courteous communication from the owners before and after our stay, and a prompt call from the property manager the day we arrived. We enjoy having a home base when traveling - we can watch a movie, use the kitchen, or sit on the screen porch when it's too rainy to go out, and this home was excellent for all our needs! We would certainly recommend it, and would definitely consider staying again when we're back in the area.

Perfect Home & Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

I can't express enough how much we loved our stay here.

I would recommend it 100% to anyone.

We arrived late and could easily park outside the house and we left our car there the whole stay.

The house is beautiful. We wanted to live there.

We are a family with 2 teens. We had so much space.

It was so well equipped too, like everything had been thought of.

The beds are so comfy, we all slept really well.

The road is lovely and quiet and so beautiful. We are from the UK and it was just as I hoped Savannah would be : )

We had booked the Trolley Tours to get about and got our first one by the Cathedral just 5 mins walk away. There is a little cafe opposite 'Mirabelle Cafe' where we had breakfast waffles and coffee. The perfect start to the day.

I can't wait to come back to Savannah and stay here again and explore more.

It was the prefect stay. Thank you!!

Excellent location. Older building fully modernized, with the right accessories. If you walk, nearly the entire old quarters is accessible in max 15 min.

The house and location was great. Pics and description are accurate. Bedrooms are upstairs as described but very nice. Neighborhood is safe and quiet. Never had to contact the owner which was good. I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely home and great location

  • 5 of 5

Loved this home and location. This was our first trip to Savannah on our way up to North Carolina. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in. The screened in porch was lovely in the early morning (before it got too hot). The bathrooms would spacious for a historic home. We were able to walk to restaurants and parks easily. A bonus was that my sister and her family stayed in the house directly across the street (we thought we had booked close...but not that close). Thanks for opening your home up to us!
