Spring/Fall 4 for 2 Special!
We never got to see the house we originally rented as there was some sort of frozen pipe emergency the day we were to start our vacation. We had spent hours looking online and had thought the house we picked was perfect for our group. I was told the new house we were to get had two masters and that even though it was nicer and more expensive that Village Properties would pay the difference. They did pay the difference but the house really wasn't as described. It only had one master and the bedroom situation was nothing close to what we originally had planned for. The kitchen in the house we had was fine, but overall the living space was a little tight. After a long day skiing everyone really likes to sprawl out, relax together and tell stories from the day. The seating was adequate but just not that same as what we had picked out and the gas fireplace was hardly the same as the wood burning one we had hoped for. Also we had a musician in the group and the piano in the first house would have provided some entertainment that would have been fun. Lastly the two car garage was so full of deck furniture that we could only park one car inside. We only had two small Subarus heading up to the mountain and parking them inside would have been much nicer to load up in the morning to get going.
A ski vacation with the people I love the most is a special thing and we had a wonderful time; no matter where we stayed I would be grateful to get everyone together and soak them up as much as possible. Even at capacity Mt Bachelor is a fun and beautiful ski resort. Bend is fun and offers shopping and food that is always memorable.
Not sure if we will get back this Spring, but I have already promised my boys a Winter ski vacation next year.
So this review is really for 2 Cinder Lane. If you check out the pictures and it looks good for you thats great, I you wanted more beds and don't want to stick an 11 year old on an uncomfortable fold out sofa then keep moving, there's lots of rentals out there.
