This is perfect

This home is perfect. It was clean and absolutely price friendly. I loved having a bathroom in each of the rooms. And it was in a nice and gorgeous location.

It was a lovely property - one of the coziest and cleanest that we had been to. Connie was a super host in every way. The location was exactly what we needed for a quiet family holiday. We are avid travellers and not many properties / hosts impress us the way this did. Highly recommend.

Spring Vacation

Connie was an amazing host and the property exceeded our expectations. Connie went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed, offered to make reservations or to even drive us down to the local pubs in town!She greeted us when we arrived, making sure we knew where to find extra supplies and how to work various electronics. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to keep us cozy and occupied while we were there. Mike and Connie even brought over the grill so we could make a few of our dinners. Thank you Connie and Mike for your kindness and a great stay!

Lovely home!

This was a great home to stay in. Very spacious with lots of room and a lovely view. It is a bit difficult to find so make sure you go by the directions she gives you to go, but make sure you are looking as the house is not easily marked with the name and you will miss the sign as it is on a brick wall coming into the drive way.

The ideal rural getaway

Beautiful property out in in Tipperary county. We flew out to Dublin for a week for work, then wanted to spend our second week in Ireland somewhere more quiet. We rented a car from Dublin Airport and drove(about 2 hours 10 min or so). Property was absolutely amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. It was larger than I was expecting; Connie, the host, was extremely accommodating and communicative via whatsapp throughout our stay, which was great as we were international travelers without a phone plan, so we could use the wifi. Would definitely recommend renting a car to get around. It was somewhere around an hour 15min to get to Galway, which is a great place to spend some time, or grab a tour and see the Cliffs of Moher. The property is the perfect place to relax, and seems like it would be great for a larger group as well. Would love to stay again next time I'm in Ireland!

Excellent central Ireland location

The home was exactly as described. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen which is much larger than the one we have at our home. Plenty of tourist information was provided. Connie and Mike were excellent hosts. They were waiting for us when we arrived and gave us a detailed breakdown of the features of the home. The property was clean and well-maintained. We stayed for over two weeks and Mike mowed the grass and Connie brought us a change of towels and linens without us having to ask. Connie and Mike were very responsive to any request we had. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them. We would easily recommend this home to others. We would have stayed longer if our schedule would have permitted it. Nenagh and Portumna were close by for grocery shopping. Day trips can be done to Connemarra, Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, and Roscommon. There are numerous activities within an hour from the house that aren't listed in most major travel guides (such as Rick Steve's and DK). The Ireland Pocket Guides produced by the National Tourism Development Authority are the best guides for the specific regions of Ireland. Overall the home was a great value for our money and we would definitely stay here again.

Tolles Haus mit herrlichem Ausblick

Wir hatten ein wunderbare Woche in diesem Haus. Es war bereits unser zweiter Aufenthalt an diesem Ort und wir haben ihn genauso genossen wie beim ersten Mal. Das Haus ist urgemütlich und hervorragend ausgestattet. Wir haben viele Abende im Wintergarten mit Blick über den See verbracht und uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieterin und ihr Mann sind extrem nett, hilfsbereit und kümmern sich sehr darum, dass die Mieter angenehme Urlaubstage verbringen können. Auch bei Problemen konnten wir uns an sie wenden. Vielen Dank für alles!

Familienurlaub

Wir können die Ferienwohnung nur wärmstens Empfehlen. Die Lage ist echt klasse, die Aussicht aus dem Wintergarten über den See einfach traumhaft. Die Vermieter Connie und Mike sind super nett und hilfsbereit. In der Ferienwohnung waren eine Menge Prospekte über die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung und Connie hat uns einige Tipps gegeben was für uns interessant sein könnte. Durch die Zentrale Lage der Wohnung kommt man mit dem Auto auch sehr schnell überall hin. Vielen Dank Torsten, Sybille und Arne

Ein wunderbares Ferienhaus. Am schönsten ist der Wintergarten mit traumhaftem Blick auf den Lough Derg, von Sonnenauf- bis -untergang! Das Ferienhaus ist allerbestens ausgestattet, es fehlt an überhaupt gar nichts. Es ist genug Geschirr, Gläser und Besteck, auch für viele Personen, vorhanden, ebenso wie Spülmaschinentabs und Waschmittel. Und was nicht da ist, besorgt die Gastgeberin Connie. Connie und Mike sind ganz zauberhafte Gastgeber, die uns jederzeit mit Rat, Tat und Hinweisen zu den lokalen Events, etc. zur Seite gestanden haben. Wir hätten es nicht besser treffen können und können dieses tolle Häuschen nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!

Just What We Wanted

Connie and Mike are phenomenal hosts. Such a relaxing site and easy access to pretty much all of Ireland in a day trip. Getting away from the busyness of the large cities was our goal and Ballinderry more than met our needs. The house gave everyone their own private space and all the comforts of home too!

A perfect week in an Irish oasis

A truly spectacular stay. Connie and Mike are helpful, kind, and all around wonderful people. Our bags were lost at the airport and they arranged to have them dropped off at their house because we didn't have working phone numbers and they hand delivered them to us! The place is beautiful. The view of the lake is stunning and it feels like it changes every day. The restaurant and pub that are right in town couldn't be more delightful and it's an ideal location to take day trips almost anywhere in Ireland! I cannot recommend this place enough. My sister and I can't wait to come back and stay again!

Awesome Stay

Beautiful house with sun room looking down at the river what more can you ask for. All 5 member of my family had their own room for peaceful night sleep, we had everything we needed for our stay and with our hosts Connie and Mike guiding us through our stay we felt welcome. Perfect for a week away with a dog

Had a great week at this stunning location. The property is well equipped and every room and touch has been thought through in detail for guest. Would both recommend and look to return. The secure perimeter fence made taking the dog so easy!

Relaxing family week on Lough Derg

Upon arrival at shannonview, we were immediately blown away by the breathtaking view of Lough Derg from the house. Connie was there to greet us and immediately we felt welcomed as she showed us around the house and told us how everything worked. Kilgarvan Quay, a 10 min walk where Lough Derg Watersports kayaking is a must, also great for a mooch about the marina and a dip in the lake. De Roistes bbq in Ballinderry for beers and a good feed in a fab setting. A trip to Birr and Portumna castle well worth the short trips. Its a really lovely part of the country for a relaxing break away. Connie and Mike are terrific hosts who will ensure you feel at home. Thanks for a brilliant week at Shannonview

Zauberhaftes Haus mit zauberhaften Gastgebern

Shannonview ist so, wie die Beschreibung es verspricht: ein liebevoll eingerichtetes, großzügiges Haus mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Die Lage, die wundervolle Sonne- und Wolken-Bilder über dem Lough Dergh ermöglicht, ist auch der einzige Wermutstropfen: die nächsten Pubs und Supermärkte sind nicht fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr um das Wohl Ihrer Gäste bemüht. Wir waren schon in einigen Ferienhäusern, aber bislang haben wir noch kein Haus erlebt, in dem man so deutlich gespürt hat, dass die Gastgeber sich in ihre Gäste hineinversetzen und ihre Bedürfnisse kennen, bevor man ihrer selbst gewahr wird. Z. B. wartete auf uns nicht nur eine sondern mehrere Empfehlungen für Gassi-Runden. Eine ganz dicke Empfehlung.

Super schöner Urlaub

Das Haus lag für uns perfekt. Wir haben viele Fahrten von dort aus gemacht und sind immer schnell an unsere Ziele gekommen. Der Ausblick des Hauses ist der Wahnsinn! Einen wunderbaren Blick über den Logh Derg. Aber der wirkliche Traum sind die Vermieter. Vielen Dank an Connie und Mike für ihre Unterstützung in Allem. Ihr seid die Besten. Ich kann dieses Haus nur jedem empfehlen!!!!

We are an Irish/German couple and lived in that house for 15 years. We now live only 5 minutes away in the next village of Terryglass and are very hands-on owners. We are delighted to assist with the planning of trips and can recommend where to go for a nice meal or a drink in the local area.

It is very centrally located and a number of day-trips to the best known tourist attractions in Ireland such as Bunratty Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Burren or Connemara can easily be visited from the house within a day. It is a freestanding bungalow with a large, secure garden and offer unparalleled views over the lake (Shannon). It is ideal for families or guests with pets as the garden is large and secure, there is a lot of privacy.
