I rented this property for a bachelorette party weekend and it went amazingly. There were a total of 9 ladies (from all over the US) and each expressed how beautiful the house was and what a perfect venue it was (the airport was perfect location too). Everyone had a comfy bed and tons of places to get ready for each night's activities (so many mirrors!) The mother-in-law suite was perfect for my sister (the bride) to retreat to in the evenings to have her own privacy after spending time with all the ladies in the huge living room and patio areas. The owners were so nice and left a bottle of champagne for toasting in the fridge along with a bottle of wine with a welcome note. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the grocery store was so close for filling up the fridge. In all honesty, I wish we didn't have so many plans that weekend that took us away from the house as I would have loved to have just stayed home and relaxed. We didn't even put one toe in the pool/jacuzzi even after I paid to heat it haha! But I would definitely rent this home again for a friends or family weekend away!
Looks good in pictures but needs a thorough power wash of flooring and a complete interior painting. Baseboards are filthy, and we had to wash all pots and pans before using. Generally, just not well maintained. Upon arrival: alarm woke us up 2 nts. in a row due to malfunction -- eventually had to be disconnected; garage door opener did not work; landline telephone did not work; 4 (FOUR!!!) glass wine glasses; place settings for 8 in a 5 bedrm home; tea kettle completely corroded so we purchased new one (among other items); electricity on counter (including gas stovetop starter) shut down and needed repair; TV's did not work properly in master and casita -- needed new system; although pictures show outdoor fireplace and TV, you can't use the fireplace (gas is shut off) because there is not mantel and will melt the TV -- they promised to look into it -- we were there for 2 months and no one did; internet went down twice while we were there for long periods of time -- our son is dependent on internet for work. I could get into some really petty things, but I won't. Basically, this house is used for short term renters -- as told to us by the property manager. It was obvious they hadn't even done a simple inventory checklist to determine if it was ready for a 2 month rental. Many of our problems could have been avoided had they done this and asked the owner to make the necessary repairs and purchases before we arrived instead of inconveniencing us while we were there. This is a very expensive rental, and we feel we did NOT receive fair value for our money. Although we rented through a property management company, they use VRBO to advertise it so I am submitting a review here. This is easily our worst vacation rental experience. We also just received our utility deposit refund. We arrived on Jan. 9th and did not heat the pool ( because of high utility costs in the cooler weather), until February. However, they average out the ENTIRE month, which means we subsidized the people who used it during the first part of the billing period -- Dec. 17th until our arrival. They must have had the heat cranked up because the amount we were charged per night was MORE than when we were heating it in February and March even though we did not heat the pool in Jan. So, to sum it up, we would not stay at this property again, nor would we recommend it to anyone. Maybe good for kids wanting a party weekend who don't care what the place is like beneath the surface.
We stayed in Palm Desert for an annual golf trip with 10 guys. This house worked perfect and would also be perfect for 2-3 families. The 4 bedrooms and casita are huge with the very large open floor plan. The backyard is perfect for families with a putting green, play structure, pool, outdoor grill station and fire pit. We will definitely stay there again. Everyone did a great job from helping us find the property to making sure it was perfect when we arrived. I also thought the check in phone call was a nice service touch.
This home was incredible for a family with all ages! The adults loved it, the teenagers loved it, and the children had their own park! I was in touch with Nate - who was very professional and helpful - and Kim went out of her way to get to the home asap with a new net, and directions on how to work a few things. Great managment/reservation team!
