appartement conforme et bien situé

je suis originaire Sicilien. bel appartement, avec une grande terrasse. situé en centre ville. vous n'êtes pas loin de la mer, d'Agrigento (temples Grecs) , Piazza Armerina (villa Romana delcasale), Caltagirone ...., J'ai petit déjeuné quasiment tout les matin à Ariston Dolci à quelques pas de l'appartement. j'ai passée deux semaines agréables. La discrétion des propriétaires que j'ai apprecié et aussi l'intérêt de que portait Concetta pour mon confort durant mon séjour. je recommande vivement cet appartement.

The Original Sicily

A beautiful apartment, fantastically located in the middle of a beautiful city. Narrow streets, lively promenades, fascinating facades, simply enchanting. We would have liked to take this great terrace with us to Germany. And the most beautiful of all is the exceptionally nice, attentive, helpful, wonderful host family. Many thanks for everything, Rita! We will come back in any case!

Fantastic accommodation, great hospitality, lovely town

Could not fault the apartment, with a terrrace, generous rooms, and everything we could need. It was spotless, and perfectly situated in the heart of the old town. Rita and her son were SO helpful, and attentive. Just perfect.

remote location difficult to drive in

apartment on the third floor (European 2nd) is roomy with a full kitchen and washing machine. it could be updated and probably in the summer when you can use the outside deck it is lovely. the town is full of churches but the street are so narrow it is almost impossible to negotiate. parking is very problematic. there are a few choices for dinner but most reopen around 8 or 8.30.

Muy bien el apartamento en la parte vieja de Mazzarino con una muy agradable terraza .

Rita ha sido una anfitriona 5 estrellas que hace que todo sea facil para el viajero. El apartamento dispone de todo lo necesario, incluida una botella de exquisito vino de la variedad de uva de la zona (nero d'avola). La zona es de acceso complicado por las carreteras q lo rodean en muy mal estado en ocasiones, pero la visita merece la pena. En una media hora puedes estar en la playa de Falconara y en 20 minutos visitando la expectacular villa del Casale.

Hotesse et appartement inoubliables

Nice apartment in Mazzarino

We stayed at Rita's apartment in Mazzarino for five nights in April. It was in a good location within easy walking distance of the towns main streets and sights. It was comfortable and quiet and close to everything we needed. It made a good home base for driving around the area. Rita was a friendly and helpful host, who seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay in the area. She speaks English, and gave us excellent advice on less well known towns to visit within driving distance of Mazzarino. She gave us pasta sauce that she made from fava beans from her garden and her son carried a heavy bag up and down the stairs for us. They were nice people who we enjoyed meeting. They live in the same building as the apartment, which is convenient. If you are looking for a smaller, more authentic, not touristy town to balance out your visits to all of the famous spots of Sicily Mazzarino is a good choice. We enjoyed our stay there.

Splendida vacanza!

Abbiamo soggiornato io e mio marito dal 2/8 all'8/8/2016. La casa è bella, pulita, fresca ecc.....ci siamo trovati benissimo. Preziosa è stata Rita che con i suoi consigli ci ha fato visitare posti bellissimi!!!

Una piacevole sorpresa

Davvero una piacevole sorpresa. ...una casa curata in ogni piccolo dettaglio dalle lenzuola ricamate al sacchetto di lavanda negli asciugamani alla bottiglia di vino con due calici e altre accortezze che ti fanno sentire coccolata . Rita da quando la contattate è sempre pronta a darvi mille consigli per rendere la vostra vacanza perfetta. Mazzarino poi è una cittadina deliziosa e avrete modo di ammirarla anche dalla splendida terrazza della casa . Che altro aggiungere. ....non avete ancora chiamato? Extraordinaire hôtesse et appartement

A real home from home with perfect hospitality

This apartment is spacious, comfortable and well fitted out - you feel instantly right at home. Rita is generous, warm and friendly, making you feel a welcome guest. The town is lovely with gorgeous buildings, old squares and wonderful views of the beautiful countryside. We had the best meal of our 6 week holiday at Vidi, just around the corner. We wished we could have stayed longer.

A terrific place!

This was a terrific place. Rita was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment is comfortable, and she arranged the bedrooms to suit us, which was very nice. There was lots of hot water, and pantry items, so easy to settle in. The big outside terrace was very nice. The town itself was great, with a wide main street and interesting churches and castle ruins, and not touristy at all so people were friendly and interested in finding out who we were and where we came from. (The people at the grocery store even gave us a gift of a bottle of wine for having shopped there!) A great experience!

Lovely authentic home base to discover Sicily

The location of the apartment, situated at the center of Mazzarino, was a great place to be. In the three weeks I travelled around in Sicily (every week another appartment), this would be my favorite. The atmosphere and the kindness of the people is amazing. Rita is a great hostess and her focus is to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Mazzarino is located centrally on the Island and is suitable to be the base to discover many areas: temples, mosaïc, ceramics, the beach, outlet center, country side, mountains ...). Rita thank you for bringing Sicily closer to our hearts. Next time in Sicily, I will certainly book the apartment again.

Vacanza primaverile in Sicilia

Alloggio molto curato, pulito, grande e comodissimo. Terrazzo molto apprezzato fin dai primi di maggio, e forse anche prima. Accoglienza generosa e grande disponibilità, specialmente di Rita. Una famiglia che riesce a promuovere il proprio territorio e a farlo conoscere ed apprezzare con semplicità e raffinatezza. Un paesino da scoprire: elegante e ricco di storia, animato e pacato allo stesso tempo. Da non perdere!

Very nice place!

The apartment is large enough for 4-5 persons. Kitchen well equipped, very nice terrace, quiet surrounding, comfortable main bedroom (we did not use the other one). But the most important aspect is the very warm welcome of Rita and Rino, the owners. They live in the building just on the upper floor. We had good advises from them, Rita spoiled us with fresh fruits, butter, jam, etc. As soon as we needed something, they tried to provide it for us. Mazzarino is a typical rural town on top of a hill among the fields but you have every convenient thing you need next door to the flat. The surroundings are quiet and relaxing.

Comme à la maison

Un accueil chaleureux, un appartement spacieux et confortable joliment situé, une grande terrasse... La personnalité attachante de Rita contribue à renforcer ce sentiment d'être "comme à la maison". La magie de cet endroit, c'est de vous immerger pleinement dans la Sicile "de l'intérieur", celle du centre des terres, loin des sentiers battus, mais aussi celle du cœur...On y découvre avec bonheur l'authenticité et la gentillesse de ses habitants- dont la spontanéité donne cette étrange impression de les connaître depuis longtemps... Alors bien entendu, quand arrive le moment du départ, on ne peut que ressentir un vif pincement au cœur... Avec le désir ardent de revenir au plus vite...

An excellent introduction to Sicily!

An excellent place to discover the rest of the East Sicilian coast. The apartment is more than adequate for three people. A spacious rooftop terrace that ensured that we had a view on the other terra cotta roof tops and at the same time ensuring privacy. Concerning the proprietor, we couldn't ask for a better host than Rita, who welcomed us with open arms and gave us a taste of their excellent wines and recommended excellent places to visit and eat not only in Mazzarino but in the surrounding areas as well. The apartment is clean, well equipped lacking nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would not hesitate to return for future holidays - for the authenticity of the location and the helpfulness and discretion of the hostess. A great deal and bargain.

Atmospheric Mazzarino

The apartment was delicious, tasteful, classy and comfortable, and right in the centre of the town. Mazzarino is a lovely welcoming place. There are great shops, a good market each week, a local outdoor swimming pool, quirky little streets, with bars and restaurants. For such a small town it is a bustling place with lots going on. Rita, who owns the apartment, is the loveliest hostess you could ever imagine meeting. Full of excellent advice, suggestions and care she made our week-long stay seem far too short. She made us feel very welcome and was great ambassador for Mazzarino and Sicily. There are some lovely towns and coastline within 3/4 - 1 hour drive - such as Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone and the beach at Mollarella. The whole area is stunning to drive around and while the roads are tricky, they are no worse that anywhere else in Sicily. Rita suggest a couple of restaurants in Mazzarino which were fantastic and we would recommend them too, Canttina Di Bacco and Tentazioni. All in all, a great place to stay and a good loaction to visit other parts of Sicily. We hope to return soon. Tom and Eva, Birmingham

Meravigliosa ospitalità siciliana

Staying in Mazzarino is off the typical tourist path of Sicily, but I think not for long. This wonderful village is a Sicilian gem, rich in history, culture and cuisine. Addionally the sense of community, friendliness, warmth and hospitality of the Mazzarino people is something that I never expected, and it humbled me immensly. Rita and Rino are outstanding hosts, we wanted for nothing and our comfort was a priority for them. We have forged wonderful friendships in Mazzarino as a result, and I know we will be drawn back many times. If you are wanting a holiday experience to submerge yourself in Sicilian life, then look no further to stay with Rita and Rino in Mazzarino. Their estate wines of Torre Favara are also outstanding. Overall a wonderful holiday experience I will never forget. Thank you Rita and Rino, truly 5 star! Italian Soggiornare a Mazzarino è fuori dal percorso turistico tipico della Sicilia , ma io non credo a lungo . Questo meraviglioso villaggio è un gioiello siciliano , ricco di storia , cultura e cucina . Addionally il senso di comunità , la cordialità , il calore e l'ospitalità della gente Mazzarino è una cosa che non mi aspettavo , e mi ha umiliato immensamente . Rita e Rino sono albergatori eccezionali , abbiamo voluto per niente e il nostro comfort era una priorità per loro . Abbiamo forgiato meravigliose amicizie in Mazzarino come risultato , e so che saremo trascinati indietro molte volte . Se volete una esperienza di vacanza per immergerti nella vita siciliana , allora non cercate oltre a stare con Rita e Rino a Mazzarino . parfaite et très accueillante.

L'appartement est parfait,un vrai chez soi avec une terrasse immense. Rita a été aux petits soins avec nous,que de bons conseils et même une leçon de cuisine à domicile.Rita nous portait toujours quelque chose des salades,des tomates...et nous avons connu grâcieusement le vin qu'elle produit avec son mari.J'en ai déjà parlé à des amis,ils ont hâte de la connaitre.Nous avons beaucoup voyagé à travers toute l'île,sur les conseils de Rita et tout nous a plu,les lieux chargés d'histoire et la merveilleuse cuisine sicilienne dans tous les restaurants à chaque étape que nous faisions. Chaque fois que je retournerai en Sicile,j'irai à Mazzarino voir Rita qui nous a si bien accueillis,ainsi que tous les Siciliens que nous avons rencontrés,des gens simples et généreux.

Great place to stay in Sicily

We have stayed for one week in Mazzarino. We really enjoyed our stay. Mazzarino is a small and cosy town in the center of Sicily with many churches and artistic decorations. The town also has the ruins of an old castello. The food is good - we can especially recomend Cantina di Baccio The flat is simply excellent. It is very clean and well kept, and the there is plenty of room. The interior decoration and style is homely and tasteful. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the roof-terrace. Ritha was very helpful when we planned our trip and had a lot of suggestions of what to see and do. During our stay she was just as helpful, and out of her way to make our stay perfect. For instance she brought us homecooked food we could try the real Sicilian food. She had also prepared our arrival by having some basic food in the fridge and two bottles of their own produced wine. We can higly recommend this place for a shorter or longer stay.

un grand merci à Rita

pour l'accueil, l'enthousiasme, la disponibilité et la générosité. A notre arrivée, du raisin, des pommes bio, tomates et 2 bouteilles du vin de la propriété étaient joliment déposés sur la table.l'appartement est en tout point conforme à la description. les conseils de Rita ont été fort appréciés (restaurant la Cantina di Baccho notamment tout proche de l'appartement). L'appartement est situé sur les hauteurs de Mazzarino, commerces tout proches, parking gratuit sur la place de l'église à 5 minutes à pied. Rita parle très bien français ce qui très facilitant dans les échanges de mail et lors de notre séjour. Mazzarino est un point de chute intéressant car à la croisée des chemins pour visiter Enna, Calascibetta,Piazza Armerina, Villa Casale, Caltagirone, Agrigente. Les paysages alentours sont magnifiques. ces 3 jours passés trop rapidement étaient un enchantement. bien évidemment nous recommandons cette location dont le rapport qualité prix est assez exceptionnel et mérite au passage d'être noté. Une fois encore merci Rita pour cette chaleur humaine dont tu as su nous faire profiter. Bien évidemment nous reviendrons chez Rita si nos prochaines vacances nous amènent à Mazzarino.
