Best ever family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Every year, in late August, our family of twelve (three generations including six kids under nine) chooses a different VRBO property for one week of being together. All of them have been great, but this one was outstanding. A beautiful house and grounds with space for everyone to have downtime, or to hang out with a few people and play games or watch tv away from the rest of the family, or to be all together in the large welcoming kitchen. Indeed, the kitchen was the central gathering place, and there, with everything we needed, we cooked yummy meals, listened to music, enjoyed conversations and kept our eyes on the kids who spent every moment they could outdoors. The pool, tennis court and play area have never been so well used, I'm sure; as one of the adults said, "we really don't have to leave the property except to get groceries now and then - everything for a perfect vacation is right here!" While likely true, we did leave the property to take long walks, explore Knowlton and nearby towns, do a bit of fishing and enjoy the fields and hills and valleys of the beautiful Eastern Townships. A rainy day trip to Montreal for several people worked well, and we were able to welcome a few guests from Montreal who could easily make the trip for lunch.

Arranging to stay here was easy. Great information before our arrival, a house that was welcoming and ready for us when we got here from our various locations, and quick responses when we had a question or two all added to the pleasure we had at The Farm. We left with at least one child in tears because we had to go, but we promised that we'd be back. And we will be!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We booked this property as it was a great size to accommodate our family who were traveling from many places such as Germany, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and Montreal. This was a perfect central location for us all to come together to celebrate a 60th wedding anniversary. The ages ranged between 1 year old and 84 years old. Everyone loved the location, the house and the eastern townships. The facilities were clean and accommodated all of us. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the future. Thank you to everyone who made this special celebration the best ever>

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the farm house was our best vacation ever .All of the room were very spacious and beautifully decorated. Our family so enjoyed having our meals in the large country kitchen and many nights on the deck.We were in the pool every day and even tried our hand at tennis.Lake Brome is scenic and gorgeous. The town of Knowlton is close by with many shops and restaurants .We hope to return some day soon.My words fall short in descibing the peacefulness and beauty of the farm house.

Lovely spot and very central if skiing all the hills in the Eastern townships!

  • 5 of 5

David's farm was the perfect spot for my sister and brother and all of our children to get together for a 5 day vacation over the Ontario march Break. We are an avid ski family, and debated even booking up to 2 weeks prior to the March Break as the snow conditions throughout all of Ontario and Quebec have been so horrible and ski hills struggling due to this. We decided to go for it and kept our fingers crossed....and we had a marvelous time! The farmhouse is in a great location to access a different ski hill each day - we skied at Bromont, then Orford , then Owls Head....everything was 25-40 min away ( don't always follow your GPS though...it sometimes has a hard location finding exactly the farm , and we ended up on a few wild back roads en route to the hills....all part of the fun of an adventure though!!) The house had plenty of beds for all to sleep in, and everyone said they had very comfortable sleeps. The kitchen is a nice open, bright well stocked facility, with plenty of cups/plates/cutlery that if the dishwasher was running we could still eat at the next meal! The kids could find a place to hang out, separated from their parents ( which they like and we like!! LOL!) and no one was in each other's hair. It truly suited our needs very well. It looks like the area would be a great spot in the summer - the tennis court and pool would be fun, and lots to explore in the area if you are into cycling, kayaking, etc. I would highly recommend this farmhouse as a great spot for a get together!!

Great Place For a Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

House is perfect for a large family gathering - we were 3 families totaling 12 people. We used it as a base for skiing in the area - Bromont, Sutton, Jay Peak. Couldn't have worked out any better. Large enough to have everyone together and also enough rooms for different groups to separate, ie kids and parents don't need to be together all the time :). Very well maintained and has everything you need.

Most amazing week!

  • 5 of 5

My family rented this beautiful farmhouse for the week leading up to our daughter's wedding, when we had our whole family coming into town. It was perfect in every way! There was more than enough space for everyone, both inside and out; each room was spotless and very comfortable; and the large country kitchen had every appliance you could possibly need (the owner had even it stocked with milk, coffee, tea, bottled water, and other essentials!). The private grounds were lovely and well-maintained, and the view was spectacular -- we enjoyed morning coffee on the patio and long walks on the quiet country road. Only 5 minutes from town, the location could not have been more convenient. We cannot wait to return, as our family has asked that this farmhouse become our go-to vacation destination.
