El Atlántico es la casa original en la Quinta do Bom Vento. Ahora completamente renovado con una sala de sol m² función 22 con vistas hermoso valle, ofrece una base muy amplias y elegantes en la que explorar la costa de plata y más allá. (Lisboa es menor a 1 hora de distancia) abundan las comodidades modernas en el diseño tradicional portuguesa, que fue construido con paredes de un metro de espesor de piedra de la zona. El interior ha sido destripado y renovado, y usted se sentirá aliviado al saber que el cuarto de baño y cocina exterior original ahora se han presentado en el interior! A pesar de que originalmente había 2 habitaciones, eran pequeñas y ahora las hemos colocado en 1 para proporcionar una encantadora habitación tamaño Queen, con vestidor y tocador. Además, el gran conservatorio tiene un pequeño WC separado y mucho espacio para una cama individual adicional si es necesario. El baño principal también tiene un WC y una ducha de pie hecha a la medida. La cocina totalmente equipada es muy completa con horno completo y vitrocerámica, nevera y congelador, microondas, cafetera y tostadora. Con un interior de 67 m² También hay espacio para una barra de desayuno y mesa de comedor y tiene su propia terraza privada para comer afuera también. Esto da al jardín con su propio camino hacia el valle. No hay acceso al patio central a través de la entrada principal para barbacoas, pero si usted no tiene ganas de cocinar hay varias opciones de restaurantes cerca y aún más en Obidos, a sólo 7 km abajo de la colina.
Quinta do Bom Vento tiene otros 4 conversiones de alquiler, pero todos tienen su propia entrada privada y terrazas al aire libre. Hay un patio central en caso de desear socializar o alquilar con amigos que aún preserva su propio espacio privado. Usted es libre de caminar en el valle arbolado 4 acre o deambular fuera de los caminos más allá.
Un coche es esencial, pero a sólo 7 km de Obidos y Eden Buda que se sienta QBV está en la posición ideal para proporcionar una base tranquila y muy cómoda. Diseñamos los Quintinhas como hogares en contraposición a los alquileres y creemos que la calidad de los muebles, ropa de cama y toallas reflejar eso. This was our first stop for our two-week Portugal trip, and what a terrific way to stay. From check in to check out, both hosts Sam and Rich were friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. They made our stay extremely comfortable with a stocked kitchen, which eliminated a trip to the grocery store for jet lagged travelers. The place was even nicer than the pictures and we looked forward to returning each day to relax. We would stay here again and highly recommend to others. Thanks again Sam and Rich.

Delightful Stay

Beautiful, old, country farm that has been renovated and converted into a few private casitas that are fully appointed with anything one could need. The hosts could not be any more welcoming and gracious.

Superb accommodation

Our hosts , Sam and Rich were fabulous . Very kind and efficient . The appartement was magnificent , feeling like being at home. We had a wonderful holiday and if possible we would certainly come back at Quinta do Bom Vente. Sam and Rich , thanks for everything , you were great. Tineke and René

FABULOUS

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was pristine, the views lovely, and the owners warm and very kind. When we arrived, we found a fully stocked refrigerator. There was no need to leave, except that there were things to see and do. The ocean was close by, Obidos around the corner and historic monasteries and convents to wander. My husband and I stay at many vacation homes as we travel and we both agreed this was the best. I highly recommend.

Beautiful stay between the vineyards and fruit trees

We stayed four nights at Quinta do Bom Vento and it was MARVELOUS. The hosts are excellent, they take care of everything, including all gastronomic possibilities. At our arrival in the evening, we could enjoy grilled chicken with a nice bottle of wine. Breakfast was also taken care of, the fridge was full of delicious things and every two days there was fresh bread and Portuguese sweet delicacies. The accommodation is beautiful and offers a lot of comfort and privacy, we could easily start living there. It felt as being home in a natural environment with full of scenic beauty. From there we could visit a lot, from historic little towns and monasteries to beaches and green hills. Walks are also possible in the near surroundings. We definitely would love to come back!

Surpassed expectations

Whilst the listing is accurate it still underplays what a wonderful property this is, with a level of luxury, quality of hospitality and attention to detail usually found in boutique hotels. Sam and Rich have created here an oasis of tranquility that, even when the wind is gusting down the valley, pervades the place inside and out. Our property - Atlantic - had everything you could wish for by way of mod cons, and the 'welcome basket' far exceeded what most places would offer. On our way to the property we called in at a supermarket to pick up a few things we thought they wouldn't include, such as breakfast cereals, fruit juice, treats, only to find all these and more when we arrived! Everything exuded quality, from the furnishings to the toilet paper. Rich and Sam were also attentive to our needs during our stay. Though we largely tend to be quite self sufficient, they still provided some useful tips we never would have found in guidebooks, such as the brunch in the park in Caldas da Rainha, only on weekends, which we loved. Sam's culinary skills, the product of which she shared from time to time, also put some local restaurants to shame. And the fresh bread and pastries she delivered to our door on a couple of days was a welcome bonus. The location of the property was great - only half an hour from the beach, 10 minutes to Obidos, an hour from Lisbon (we went by bus, but it's the same to drive if you want), and the 'Disneyesque' Sintra a similar drive. There's walking trails straight from the door, and if you want steeper hills, head to Montejunto 30-40 minutes to the south. All in all a perfect place for our stay in this part of Portugal. Many thanks to Rich and Sam for their hospitality and generosity. Would strongly recommend.

Lovely location and hosts

We spent perfect days here. The room was fabulous and the views were so beautiful. My husband and I both feel like we got to experience the real Portugal here vs. the bigger cities of Lisbon and Porto. The hosts, Sam and Rich were so hospitable and made us feel very welcome with treats delivered to our door almost every day 😊 We hope to return someday. Sam and Rich, come visit us in Seattle !

Nous avons été admirablement accueillis par Sam et Rich, des hôtes extraordinaires, plein d’attentions à l’égard de leurs locataires. Dés notre arrivée dans cette jolie résidence très agréable,bien entretenue et paisible, Sam et Rich nous attendaient avec des petits de mot bienvenue. Dans la maison mise à notre à disposition, tout était intégré pour nous permettre de passer un agréable séjour y compris de nombreux ingrédients pour nos repas (fruits et légumes du jardin, céréales, café, thé, vins de la région...). Au cours de notre séjour nos hôtes nous ont également gâtés avec quelques délicieuses pâtisseries et d’excellents pains. Ils ont été de bons conseils pour nos visites. Merci infiniment à Sam et Rich pour leur générosité et leur gentillesse.

Faultless accommodation, with superb hosts in a beautiful rural setting

Our expectations were exceeded! We arrived to warm greetings, a fridge full of food and a roast chicken! The accommodation was superb with great attention to detail. From the lounge and the terrace we enjoyed wonderful panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. We stayed a week and found plenty to do including trips to Obidos, Buddha Eden, the coast and mountains and windmills inland - as well as walking in the extensive grounds of QBV. All in all, the best self-catering accommodation that we have ever stayed in!

WOW! Everything you could ask for ... and MORE!

If you are looking at a rental property near Obidos, either for a short term or a longer stay, there’s no point in checking anything else out. You’ve found the best there is, in all respects. Sam & Rich were the most welcoming hosts of any we have ever encountered in our travels. From the first e-mails when we booked, they offered help if wanted/needed and gave us wonderful suggestions of places to visit, not just in Obidos but throughout the country. All this information has been invaluable and has enriched our visit to Portugal. The Atlantic was spacious, beautiful, well laid out, everything one could need/want all in a picturesque location. The apartment had the best stocked kitchen we’ve seen plus a truly amazing coffee machine. The hosts also provided a hand drawn map of local destinations - including roads, restaurants, tourist destinations, grocery stores, gas stations, local trails in the valley & more. Really helped us navigate the area. In our experience, other rental properties don’t compare with QBV in many ways - atmosphere, location, views, comfort, amenities, support.  It made for a memorable stay. Elizabeth & David

Great stay near Obidos!

We could not have asked for a nicer stay. Sam and Rich are warm and welcoming hosts. They've renovated an old farmhouse and outbuildings with loving care and attention to detail. Our apartment was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The view was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable. We felt completely at home. The property is 5-10 minutes from the Obidos parking lot and is set in a lovely agricultural valley with vineyards as well as pear and apple orchards. Great location for day trips to the nearby coast, north to Tomar, Fatima, Batalha, Alcobaca to the north and Sintra to the south. There are nearby restaurants. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a nearby grocery for provisions. We told Sam and Rich that they would need a crowbar to get us to leave. It nearly came to that! Would recommend highly to friends and family.

The place to be

Very quiet and nice place surrounded by green 45 minutes away from Lisbon very easy to access via the motorway we have spent two wonderful and too short weeks with our kids at this place Sam and Richard are very friendly and welcoming people they do everything to render your stay very pleasant we highly recommend this comfortable rental and we hope we will be able to come back some day

THE BEST PLACE TO BE

Very quiet and nice place surrounded by green 45 minutes away from Lisbon very easy to access via the motorway we have spent two wonderful and too short weeks with our kids at this place Sam and Richard are very friendly and welcoming people they do everything to render your stay very pleasant we higly recommend this comfortable rental and we hope we will be able to come back some day

First class everything

From the minute that we arrived nothing was to much trouble for Richard and Sam. Every last detail seemed to have been considered, the welcome pack most certainly greatly appreciated following a long journey. The location is quiet and idyllic with many walks to be had. Short ride in to Obidos and surrounding towns. We spent a lovely five days there and would thoroughly recommend a visit, first class.
