About Linda Dreher

We are two lovely people from So Cal who met in junior high, stayed friends through high school, and married 30 years later. We've dreamed of moving to Kona, and knew this was the place for us when we spent only 10 minutes at the DMV and got our Hawaii licences. Literally just 10 minutes! The day-by-day the dream of being full-time Kama'ainas became a reality in 2017. We purchased a few of properties in the Kona area over the years, and now we are permanent residents.

Why Linda Dreher chose Kona Coast

We love Kona Pacific so much we bought there twice! So close to town, but just far enough you don't deal with downtown traffic. A beautiful 1 bedroom condo with TWO bathrooms. The lanai is to die, and it's right off Ali'i Drive and steps away from 10 restaurants. You don't even need to rent a car if you don't want. Also, there's elevators all over the property so easy in or out of the unit. Great for Seniors or families with small children.

What makes this condo unique

Two people can take a shower at the same time. Where are you going to find that? This unit easily sleeps the maximum capacity of 4 people (that's the max, house and HOA rules). Queen bed master (soon to morph into a King), and a Queen sofa sleeper. Electronic lock so you don't need a key to get into the unit, just type in the code. Elevators everywhere. Great for seniors and rugrats. Charming Lanai where you have a sunrise breakfast or mai tais and sunset. Only 1/2 block from town, so you can walk to 20 different restaurant and too many shops to count. Walk to Honl Beach and Kona Pier easily.

Perfect location, amenities and decor

This condo is wonderful! My husband and I spent 6 nights here and could have stayed longer!

Linda has stocked this condo to be your home away from home. We did a lot of cooking at the place and had all the pots and pans and utensils we needed. (The knives need to be sharpened.) And, she provided ice packs, a cooler and Tupperware. We were able to load up for the day and head out to explore.

The condo is fully stocked for your beach activities as well. The beach towels are big and plush and were well used after snorkeling.

The biggest perk for us were the two bathrooms. We were able to make one the drying/staging area for all the water sports and keep the other clean and for normal bathroom use. We loved that!

The condo is walking distance to downtown Kona and a plethora of food, shops and activities.

Great place to stay!

We stayed here from April 17-28, 2017. It was exactly as described and a great place to stay. The 3 of us were very comfortable in this spacious unit and the huge lanai was a wonderful place to spend time when we weren't out and about. Linda and Tom have done an excellent job providing everything one needs to feel at home. The location was so convenient to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. We discovered Huggo's on our first morning and had a delicious breakfast there. This was our first time to Hawaii and we were happy we chose the big island. There was lots to see and do. We have walked over to a number of restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner from the building. Love stick our toes in the sand at Huggos on the Rocks. Very Comfortable and good location. Clean, well maintained. Value for money.

We spent 2 1/2 weeks here in late November 2016. The condo is nicely appointed. We really enjoyed the surf posters motif. Quiet location just steps off Alii drive with easy access to all the restaurants and shops but away from the crowds.

Linda provided us with lots of info on where to go and what to do on Hawaii. Very much appreciated. She was great to deal with.

Highlights were snorkeling at "Two Step" beach and the Slack Key Guitar and Ukelele festival in Waimea.

It worked well for my wife and I. We would stay here again for sure.

We also think the bamboo blinds add a beautiful feeling of privacy and help keep the unit cool in the summer. They've thought of everything!

Can't recommend this condo highly enough! The location is perfect (easy walks to Ali'i drive, beaches, and toes-in-the-sand happy hours). Access to the pool and the gas grills is a nice bonus. But what really made our stay was the attention to detail Linda and Tom put into stocking and decorating the condo. Shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer? Check. Laundry detergent, toilet paper paper towels? Check. Brand new sponges and dish detergent in the kitchen? Check! Beach chairs, boogie boards and beach mats? But, of course😄򑀮 And the furnishings and artwork are beautiful and in harmony with the island. I have already recommended this unit to friends and family. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation home.

We always strive to make sure we have all the bases covered in our units, that includes the simple stuff, like shampoo, laundry supplies, cleaning products, etc. And we love hearing that the location works with our guests. The short walk to downtown makes this the ideal for a stroll to dinner, drinks or even the Kona Stroll (when you're in town that one Sunday a month). Sunshine & Sandals

We spent two weeks in this condo with our one year old daughter. The building and grounds are very well kept and the pool was great! We enjoyed cooking a couple meals on the BBQ which overlooks the pool area and has a view of the ocean. The condo is spacious and well decorated stocked with everything we needed. We stopped at Costco shortly after we arrived and cooked most of our meals at home. We did grab take out from just down the street at Thai Rin which was really good. The main bath has a tub which was perfect for our little one and the ensuite has a very large shower that was great to rinse off after the beach or pool. The bed was comfortable and it was nice after a long day to watch NETFLIX on the TV in bedroom or the living room. There are fans throughout and we used the air conditioners to cool the condo down before bed time. We had a rental car during our stay which is recommended but not necessary. The car allowed us to tour around the island and check out all of the beautiful beaches and sights. The parking spot is in a covered parkade right next to the door and had plenty of room for our SUV. On days that we did not want to travel we would head down to the beach at the town pier which was always nice and calm, great for swimming and snorkelling. All in all we would definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again. For the price it was of great value. We consider ourselves to be very selective with where we stay and spent countless hours hunting for the right place to stay in Kona. We were fortunate to find this gem. The owner Linda was great to deal with as well!

Owner's Response: Love your review! When we decorated the unit, we thought wanted guests to feel like they were staying in a resort, and hoped they get a real feel for Hawaii. The vintage surf movie posters (Frankie & Annette!) make it fun as well. We love the location of the condo- close but not too close. So happy to hear you would walk over to the beach near you downtown. That's so convenient for little ones and since it's usually super clam that makes it a perfect choice. We tend to barbecue a lot as well and enjoying sitting by the pool for a meal. We are so happy you enjoyed your staff, and hope you will think about us and Kona Pacific for your future visits to the Big Island. Mahalo...

Gorgeous, clean and tastefully decorated condo.

We had a great time and really appreciated the beautiful condo, especially after my flight was delayed and bags were lost! Walking down the street and immediately getting my feet in the sand sure helped...as well as a Mai Tai at Huggo's on the Rocks, was a much needed fix! Beds were super comfortable, plenty of room to spread out, good light, good views. and I loved the surf and Hawaiian print theme...clean and tropical. Loved it. Garage parking was great, no hot car to get into. Great location, looking forward to staying there again in the future. Thanks! - Dave, from Cape Cod
