Call me for availability! I am a paid subscriber, so I am able to be contacted directly. Since I advertise on several sites, the calendar may not be up to date. The longer you stay, the lower the rate. I've been a landlord for over 24 years, long before these sites were created, for directors and actors who were in town for short/extended stays. This isn't phony Hollywood, this is where we live and work.

Fresh, Sunny, Bright Home with Parking in Driveway. Excellent Hollywood location on a quiet residential tree-lined street. Within one mile walk to Hollywood and Highland, Dolby Theater, Chinese Theater, Pantages Theater, and Metro subway stop. Close to many Hollywood hotspots, restaurants and nightclubs. Park your car and walk down the Cahuenga Corridor, or to the Hollywood Bowl and Ford Theater. Five minute drive to Universal Studios, forty minute drive to Disneyland or the beach. (Traffic permitting). Pet friendly. Off-street parking. No parking permit required. Also available for temporary stays and film locations. Fully furnished.

This is a historic gem on a Jacaranda tree-lined street located in what Los Angeles Magazine once called one of 'The Best Neighborhoods That Nobody Has Ever Heard Of.'

I've been offering this house as a vacation rental for over 10 years, and I've had many happy guests. I advertise this house 20 different websites internationally. If you want to see reviews I can send you a link. It books quickly. Most guests book within 48 hours of first contact with me. As a paid subscriber, I am able to work with my guests directly before they book. $20 fee per guest/night, over six guests. Pet fee- $50/pet.

I'm a very experienced host with guests at this house and other properties since 1995.

Payment options for stays over 2 weeks. Although still booking short term, I'm also looking to rent monthly/multi-monthly. I can offer a rate break for months paid in advance.

Great house, great neighborhood

My extended family and I rented this house for a week in December. The weather was great and the house suited our needs very nicely. We were comfortable and the landlord was easy to contact, should we have ever needed something. My dog was allowed to stay, which was a blessing.

Hollywood is within easy reach. Amoeba, Arclight theater, Hollywood Walk of Fame, etc...all within 5 minutes walking distance. The neighborhood is full of history, neat old, well taken care of, single dwelling homes and nice people. We were fortunate to have found this rental and are sure happy with our stay. If you want to come LA, be near Hollywood, stay in a comfortable home and feel well- cared for...this is your place.

Perfect place for family of 5...and a dog!

We are a family of five (includes 3 teenagers) plus our dog that stayed 5 nights.  We were looking for a place where space and location was more important than over the top amenities.  The house  met all of our needs and was exactly as described.  Even though it was within walking distance to many Hollywood sites the neighborhood was secluded and felt safe.  Mark the owner was a pleasure to deal with.  Even though he lives on-site we never felt his presence.  This is the perfect place to stay if you want a location minutes away from Hollywood, Mann Theater, Universal Studios, etc.  We could not have been more satisfied with our stay.  Thanks Mark!

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a positive review! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I want the reader to know that, while I live on the premises, I don't live in that house when you're there. I stay in a separate, legal guest house unit BEHIND the front house. (The property is considered a legal duplex, even though there are two separate addresses on the same site). That makes it good if the guest needs anything or has any questions. Most people appreciate that... (except for the few guests who were planning loud parties.). This guest (Kim), and her family were a delight to host, and I'm happy they could include the whole family on their trip, including their dog. Convenient parking and pet friendly... good luck finding that at a hotel near this location! Although I allow pets, the house is clean and well cared for, and I'm thankful to my guests for respecting that. Happy to accommodate.

Spectacular Property in Hollywood Hills

This is my very first experience at booking/renting a VRBO property and I cannot imagine a more positive outcome or dealing with a more professional Owner. Mark was absolutely outstanding!

The rental unit itself was located in a funky "happening" area with people walking their dogs and immaculately cared for properties. We thoroughly appreciated the beautiful spacious kitchen that included all the amenities/utensils necessary to prepare meals for our group of 6 (3 couples). Special thanks to Mark for picking up a brand new coffee maker for our use and arranging for a hairdryer for the ladies with long hair. Our stay was quiet, comfortable and everyone had plenty of space to chill and unwind. Our family visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame and took in Universal Studios for a full day. Both were literally a 6 minute drive away. I could go on and on about how much we loved this place!

Great location for a movie shoot!

Our entire crew had an excellent experience renting 2048 Holly Drive in the Hollywood Dell neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills. We needed a house big enough for our shoot and attractive enough for our story. We scored on this location with plenty of room for the wardrobe crew and the make-up and hair stylist too. The two bathrooms and large kitchen (the kitchen is a fairly modern addition to a wonderful craftsman home) were enough to accommodate a mid-sized crew, plus there’s a large backyard to park a couple of the crews’ trucks. We ate lunch – feeding about 30 people – in a spacious backyard as well. The friendly and cooperative owner of the home met us with enthusiasm and a big smile. I give this location 5 stars!

Owner's Response: A.P., thank you for your review. The house is not only a good place to stay, but is quite photogenic. It’s amazing how the house transformed into a studio, with cameras and lights inside and out. It’s been used in other productions in the past, but not since it was painted last year. A.P.’s production was a unique case where I opened up the entire property so they could park their vehicles and equipment. The back driveway became a craft service center with catering and several tables. It was fun to see actors in costume walking around the property. This was a fully permitted and bonded production with top known professionals- no amateurs. It’s also important to point out that the house was able to accommodate all the electrical/power/utility needs for so many people. When shooting wrapped, the house transformed back into a home as if nothing had happened. It was an honor to be chosen for this very special project.

Perfect for us

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mark's house. The location was so convenient, and having a driveway to park in makes renting this house worth it just by itself! Seriously! Mark was easy to work with, never intrusive but very responsive when we had a question.

The home had plenty of room for our family of 5. We didn't do much cooking so I can't comment on the kitchen supplies. (For planning purposes, there isn't a hair dryer and bath soap/shampoo isn't provided.) The home has all the wonderful character you'd expect from an older home...beautiful wood trim, a wide porch (with a hammock!), worn wood flooring that squeaks, old door knobs....we loved it! The shower in the master bath was a clawfoot tub with a ring shower curtain which could be a concern for persons with limited mobility.

We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

The house has a rich history of warmth and energy, not to mention Hollywood history. It was built before Hollywood was even called Hollywood. Back then there was only a vacant lot with a stream in the way-back for watering cattle and horses. You’re absolutely correct about the parking, that’s a huge asset when considering accommodations. I should point out that the hardwood floors are only original in the living room, dining room and front bedroom. The floors in the kitchen and back bathrooms were replaced in 2004. A lot of the doorknobs are vintage. Although the claw-foot tub with a shower is a cool selling point, the bathtub in the back bathroom is newer, and only about 13” high, which is better for seniors or small children. There's a hair dryer and soap available (and iron) just in case you forget- you just need to let me know. I’m happy you and your family had fun.

Comfortable Hollywood Home!

This house fit our needs perfectly. The house is located in a green and lush area near Hollywood attractions, with the privacy and comfort of home. Parking is in the driveway, which is only a few steps from the front porch. It was spring, so the flowers were blooming and the scent of the night jasmine filled the air. This is a warm and inviting home, not a hotel. An original (106 year old) pocket door separates the living room from the dining room, which allowed our children to play and watch TV in the living room, while we peacefully worked on our computers in the dining room. The front porch was a nice place to sip our morning coffee and enjoy the peaceful nature of the neighborhood. The owner was very attentive, welcomed us upon our arrival, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. He respected our privacy, but was available if we needed anything. We definitely recommend this home for a family stay. And oh--- did I mention location? Close to everything!
