Great cabin, Wonderful location!
Everything about this cabin was wonderful! The location, the cleanliness, and Stacy and Jeremy were great people to work with! We hope to come back and stay another time!!
Give this a 10, not much for kids to do.. but great getaway for adults
Was able to switch my original dates around due to the covid. Which worked out great the weather was perfect... plan to come back next year
Great Fishing Trip!!!
Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be staying again. Thank You!!!
It seems crazy to share how amazing this place is! Gorgeous, clean, tasteful and well appointed accommodations! Effortless check-in and wonderful communication with owners. We planned to do more trout fishing, but could not resist the cozy comfort of the cabin. Lovely surroundings, we made a pinky promise to return during every season to fully appreciate the pastoral surroundings!
The cabin is beautiful in such a peaceful setting and Stacy was easy to get in touch with for any questions. Great place to reconnect with old friends!!
The bluff country of Northeast Iowa has a wonderful mix of opportunities available including fishing, kayaking, bike trails, shopping and so much more.
Jeremy & Stacy Merrill
About Jeremy & Stacy Merrill
Jeremy and I (Stacy), both grew up in the area. Although we went to the same school, we didn't get to know each other until a few years later. We have been married since 2003 and have two boys. We enjoy our life in the country and couldn't think of a better place to raise our family.
Why Jeremy & Stacy Merrill chose Fort Atkinson
This log cabin has a lot of meaning to our family. Jeremy's Dad Tim, took three years to build this cabin (1978-1981). This is the house that Jeremy's parents raised him and his brother in. It wasn't until recently that we found ourselves with an empty log cabin and decided to share it's beauty and serenity with others. We also live out on the property, which is about 140 acres, although our two houses are spread far enough apart that you cannot see one from the other. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call us.
