Rural Lamorna, part of a stone barn with all home comforts and garden
About Simon Strutt
We bought Lamorna in 2016, and look forward to spending large parts of the year in this lovely spot. We live near Oxford, but have spent many family holidays in and around Cornwall. Walking the South West Coastal Path over the past few years, this stretch from Charlestown to St Mawes along the Roseland Coast stood out for its lovely beaches, spectacular cliffs and great villages. And the unspoilt rural lanes just inland make this the perfect location. We're planning to explore further over the next few years.

Nice little cottage in rural location. Great place to stay for visiting the fantastic local beaches.
Lovely place, quiet but in a great location for exploring all the way down to Lands End.
Great communication with owner.
Great communication with the owners prior to our trip and we were able to contact them at any time during our stay if required. A very beautiful cottage, very well equipped for all our needs. Loved staying here, it was a great base for our holiday. It enabled us to show our son some of the sights of Cornwall. We traveled to Newquay by car and also caught the train at St Austell to St Ives and Penzance. We also stayed closer to home at Caerhays castle and beach. We went to see the Eden Project by car, and even went as far as St Michaels Mount/Marizion. It was a mini tour of Cornwall. It was perfect for us and what we wanted to do. But also gave us peace and quiet at the end of the day. Best of both worlds for us. Highly recommended. Thank you
We had a great stay. 20 mins from a wide choice of beautiful beaches and walks and the cottage was well equipped and in a lovely peaceful location
Second visit to this pretty cottage. In a very quiet and relaxing location, the only sounds we could hear was birdsong.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the perfect location for us to unwind and walk on dog friendly beaches.
Didn’t want to go home.
Great cottage in lovely surroundings
Had a lovely time here. The cottage had everything we needed and we found lots to do in the area.
Lamorna Cottage is in a peaceful rural location, a perfect place to relax and unwind. There are half a dozen beaches within 4 miles, and the Roseland Heritage Coast offering unspoilt scenery to explore, one of the loveliest stretches of the South West Coastal Path. The oldest vineyard in Cornwall is just a few hundred yards down the hill at Polmassick - great cream teas in the summer! We're just a few miles from the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays Castle and Gardens, Mevagissey, Charlestown and Veryan. A little further to St Mawes and Fowey. The Eden Project is only 10 miles away, and within just 15 miles the dramatic north Cornish coast - we love St Agnes and the brilliant Bedruthan Steps. Padstow/Rock is 20 miles, around 35 minutes drive. And not much further (in the other direction) to the beautiful Helford estuary, Tate St Ives, and - our favourite - Kynance Cove on the Lizard. Lamorna is a great base to explore Cornwall.
