Lovely base for exploring 1066 countryside
Lovely property - well equipped, nice garden and spotlessly clean. Nessie and Harrison were brilliant. We really enjoyed our walks on the beaches and on the 1066 country walk - as did our two dogs
Fantastic Bank holiday getaway
Excellent quality accommodation... wonderful garden, very close to amazing beaches, villages and countryside
Home from home in the country
We have spent almost seven weeks in this lovely cottage. With major building works being carried out at home in Bromley, we needed somewhere where we might escape the noise and dust; and Ivy Cottage has proved ideal. Nessie and Harry, her nephew, could not have been friendlier or more helpful, always on hand if needed; while Freddie, their large, black golden doodle, has run to greet us at every opportunity. Dasher and Ralph, our miniature dachshunds, have loved exploring the beautiful garden. Walks on the beaches at Bexhill and Cooden have proved exhilarating for the four of us; and only today, our last here, we have discovered Seven Sisters Country Park. Sussex is a lovely county, and Ivy Cottage is a lovely base from which to explore it.
Lovely property. Super clean. Host welcoming. Situated ideally for exploring Kent/ East Sussex.
Cosy cottage in a beautiful, rural location
We have just returned from a five night stay in this lovely location. We were warmly welcomed by Nessie and shown around the pretty cottage and nicely laid out enclosed garden which our dog loved to explore. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very cosy. The property sits on the edge of the village and the local pub is within walking distance, serving good homemade food and dog friendly. There’s lots to do nearby, we would particularly recommend Rye old town and Battle Abbey. I’m sure we will return to this lovely place, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Nessie and Fred (the friendly dog!)
Thank you so much for your lovely review. You were absolutely fab guests. And I am so pleased that you and Oscar enjoyed yourselves so much in East Sussex.
Lovely quite location, well equipped cottage ideal for the dogs
Despite the very wet weather we had a lovely warm welcome and the dogs enjoyed the local walks. We only had a very short ( just two night ) stay but I'm sure on a sunny day it would be lovt sitting in and enjoying the garden.
