«The Lookout», comme son nom l'indique, est un petit cottage en pierre de deux chambres offrant des vues spectaculaires dans toutes les directions. Il est attaché à la maison principale mais possède sa propre entrée et est totalement privé. Au rez-de-chaussée se trouve un salon avec cheminée à foyer ouvert et cuisine surélevée. A l'étage, il peut accueillir 2/3 personnes avec une salle de bain commune. L'extérieur est un jardin clos, sécurisé et adapté aux chiens avec terrasse.
Cette propriété ne convient pas aux personnes handicapées car il y a des marches pour atteindre la propriété et quelques marches jusqu'à la cuisine. Il y a aussi un escalier en colimaçon vers les chambres avec une seule rampe sur un côté.
Il est essentiel d'avoir une voiture car la plupart des endroits clés à visiter et les magasins nécessitent une sorte de voyage en voiture.

Such a lovely place to stay, both location and the property itself. The layout made fantastic use of space and views. I really liked being able to walk from "my" front door, munching on a biscuit provided to welcome me!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lookout. The property is beautifully furnished with everything you need. We took a small dog who really enjoyed the walled garden. The situation is very peaceful with rolling hills and amazing views. There are lots of wonderful pubs and restaurants in Corfe which is a few miles away. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property, so we'll appointed and many thoughtful touches. We loved the footpaths literally on the doorstep and enjoyed a variety of walks, cliff top, heathland, fields and woodland. There were spectacular views in every direction and even the sea mist has some appeal. We ventured to the Etches Collection at Kimmeridge which is a fascinating fossil collection. There are many things to do and we hope to return to do some more.

A unique little place

The Lookout makes a lovely base for a holiday in Purbeck. The fantastic views make up for the lack of space in the bedrooms and kitchen area. All we needed for a comfortable stay for two.

This is lovely, tastefully furnished and cosy accommodation. Excellent little property, ideal for solo traveller/couple or small family. Beautiful location with stunning views in all directions, especially down the valley to Corfe.Everything I needed was there and communication was very good throughout.

I am retired teacher, married to a community nurse and we have lived in the area for over twenty years. We are passionate about its unique opportunities for appreciating nature and, being musical, have become fully involved in several artistic societies and groups. Our golden retriever also seems to enjoy a life of endless, varied walks.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Having grown up first, in London then in Herefordshire, I was totally drawn to a life in the countryside out of choise. When an opportunity to teach in the Purbeck Hills presented itself, I abandoned London and fell in love with Dorset and its beautiful surroundings. Apart from a brief spell of teaching in Sussex, we have stayed here ever since. My wife also fell in love with the area when she began her hospital training in Weymouth so we have now managed to combine all our preferences.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Sally and I fell in love with this property on a sparkling day in May when the skylarks were singing, the surrounding fields had just been harvested and the sky was pure blue. We then realised you could view key sites from each point of the compass: Corfe Castle to the north; the Isle of Wight to the east; Kingston to the west and Chapman's Pool to the south. We felt that its location was quite unique and we did not want to miss the opportunity. We have never regretted our decision.
