About mike white
We are Ann and Mike, live in Tampa, Fl and enjoy the 'Peaceful Place' about 4 times a year.
mike white purchased this Chalet in 2005
Why mike white chose Chalet Village
We didn't intend to buy a house, but we had been coming to the Gatlinburg area once a year for many years. We especially loved the National Forest and the quaint town. We took one look at the view of 'Peaceful Place' and knew that we were hooked. It looks straight out at Mt. LeConte which we had hiked many times in the past. The view can't be beaten!
What makes this Chalet unique
This home has the amazing view, great hot tub, fireplace, laundry, Jacuzzis, king beds, everything you could want in a get-away. The kitchen is well equipped.....and your enjoyment is very important to us!

This cabin makes you feel right at home! It may have less updates then other cabins but that only adds to its charm. The beds are very comfortable. If you are looking for a cabin with an easier drive up the mountain without sacrificing the view, this is it! Best view we've ever had - loved waking up and sitting on the porch watching the sunrise. We would definitely stay again! Thank you for opening your home to us.
Enjoyed the stay. Neighbors saw bears, but we never did.
View was Amazing . Great overall experience. large deck with p[enty of rockers . Comfortable king size beds in both bedrooms.Bed room 1 does not have a shower only a tub.
Quiet, comfortable and a beautiful view!
We had a relaxing time and enjoyed the serenity away from downtown. Great accessibility to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountain Park.
Beautiful peaceful and amazing!
My fiancé and I had never been to the Great Smoky Mountains before, so I wanted to make sure we got a place with a great view to wake up to each morning. This was the perfect place! It was spacious, and the perfect getaway for us. There is even a washer and dryer in the bathroom. The first morning as we were about to head down to Gatlinburg, we saw a mama bear and her cubs walking across the driveway which was even better. We loved how secluded it was, yet we did meet the neighbors who were very nice! If we come back to Gatlinburg, we will definitely be staying here again. Awesome experience!
The house was nice. But the kitchen was small for a family of 6 breakfast was a bit difficult.
The kids loved the hot tub, my husband and I enjoyed the deck. It was the perfect spot for us to unwind after a long day in the city!
This cabin is amazing with its wonderful views of Mt. LeConte, excellent beds, comfortable deck and lots of rocking chairs. The kitchen isn't large, but is quite sufficient and is very well equipped. Most people love it, as shown by the great reviews from other guests.
This cabin is located just a few blocks from the Ober Gatlinburg recreational facility. This is a snow skiing mecca in the winter, but provides ice skating and lots of fun activities year-round. There is an enclosed sky lift that will take you downtown and back with beautiful views of the area. You will not want to miss the Motor Nature Trail, off of which are many good hiking trails. The serious hiker should consider taking at least part of the Alum bluff cave trail going part way or all the way to the top of Mt. LeConte. An easier trail would be to hike to Laurel Falls. Be sure to see the Visitor Center at the South end of Gatlinburg. And a few hours spent in Cades Cove always promises animal sightings and the beauty of a quiet valley. This chalet is located only a few blocks from an entrance, however obscure, to a lovely hiking trail through the Great Smoky Mountain Natl Park. The entrance is off of St Moritz, several blocks up the hill from this cabin. Beyond the great views of this cabin is the close proximity of the National Forest; you are always just a few minutes from the peace and beauty of the forest.
