About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Dated unit, not clean or maintained at all. Leaking toilets, filthy grill, not accurately promoted.

  • 1 of 5

Our first clue should have been the snow shovel, sled and snow saucer on the deck of front entrance that this is not a cared for unit considering it is the middle of July.

Small back deck was filthy and grill looked like it was left by last renters food stains all over it and a mess.

It was summer and we had to search for screens for most of Windows and sliding screen door was in one of the bedroom closets and attempted to put it in and it was broke.

2nd floor toilet ran continuously. Our second night we were out to dinner and there was a leak so bad from this same toilet and water everywhere. We cleaned it up called immediately.

The next morning we did have 2 guys from the local vacasa office come and look into toilet and sopped up some of the water. The carpets remained damp and moist the entire week.

The toilet continued to run through the week and we were told to just jiggle it to stop the running.

I called first thing Monday with the different issues of the condo as instructed in our check in manual.

One issue as well was a leaking refrigerator each day arrive home to a stream of water in the kitchen.

Internet/Wi-Fi very slow.

I want to mention that every person I spoke with or dealt with was pleasant especially the local guys Mike and Greg.

None of this is their fault it is just a very dated and unmaintained unit.

Our first trip across the country to the Tahoe area would have been almost perfect if not for this completely rundown condo.

I am hoping to hear either from your company regarding a refund.

I do have pictures of some of the issues.

I have dealt with vrbo for over 15 years and this was the most disappointing experience ever!

Nice and comfortable stay for a ski week

  • 4 of 5

Even though the condo has capability for a crew of 8 people, there were only three of us for four nights. The place resulted comfortable, warm and well located. Everything in the house worked fine, except for the sink in a lower level bathroom, which had drainage problems. Also the wi-fi in kinda slow and goes on and off, for my kids big frustration. Our overall experience has been positive, at the point that we would want to rent it again in the future.

This place was excellent for the price and location!

We stayed here for Winter Wondergrass and we were blown away. The location is great because you're not too far from anything! The place was neat and my friends argued who was going to stay in the loft bed. I would definitely stay in this location again.

Four Senior Skiers

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for four senior skiers on a budget. All the amenities we needed were there. The property was clean and neat. The fact that there were three bedrooms and baths were important for four single men. The only problems were a slow draining sink in one bathroom, and a running toilet in another. The location close to Tahoe City, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley was a bonus, as was the hot tub which got frequent use. All in all a great vacation was had.
