The chateau of Sers is in the same family for centuries. It is feudal, medieval and classical and is located at the bottom of a beautiful Romanesque church and a spectacular bicentennial linden, in a nest of greenery, overlooking the valley and the woods.
It enjoys a truly privileged to 10 km of the Dordogne and 15 km from Angoulême, one minute walk from the village center and shops
It's a paradise for nature lovers and old stones, you can enjoy in peace the park of 2 hectares and the large heated pool of 14 m, the immediate surroundings offer many leisure hiking trails.
The chateau can accommodate 14 people in the two wings, connected by a music room, music lovers will enjoy at leisure piano Pleyel
The 4 double bedroom, the dorm and the duplex have been completely redecorated in 2014.

The charming Chateau of Sers with its medieval and classical features is ideally located in a small village with all shops, fabulous butcher, baker.
The chateau is located in the Charente region of South West France at the border of Dordogne. The chateau is attached to the 11th century church of Sers and at the heart of a busy village with boulangerie, destination butcher Close to the lively and picturesque town of Angouleme with its excellent rail connection, the chateau is easily reached by road, rail and air and remains open all year for daily, weekly or weekend rentals.

With the Dordogne and Vienne areas neighbouring this region, it’s a perfect base for discovering the beautiful countryside, heritage attractions such as Renaissance chateaux like the famous Chateau de la Rochfoucauld, Romanesque churches and a variety of arts events and activities.

The Chateau of Sers is ideal for family holidays, parties, anniversaries or small weddings. Families with children or groups (up to 15 people maximum) will find a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.



All the rooms have their particular ambience and most have recently been decorated and refurbished with a contemporary touch. Attention to details include; good quality beds (two four-posters) and linen as well as period and vintage furniture. There is central heating for winter use and occasionally, a blazing log fire!

Services such as catering with a chef, additional house-keeping or baby-sitting can be organised on request.
In the summer the cost to heat the pool is included in the low season an additional cost of 20 Euros is asked
The chateau is set within enclosed parkland with remarkable centenary trees including a spectacular linden. As well as enjoying views of the surrounding woodland, fields and tracks from the chateau, there is access for walking, cycling and picnics. On site is a large and secured swimming pool to enjoy in hot weather.

In the local area, other activities include: the village leisure park for playing boules; a 9-hole golf course (with restaurant, bar and shop) and paintball at one of the biggest centres in France at Garat; horse riding for families at Pranzac; free tennis court and football pitch in the neighbouring village of Bouex.

The Chateau of Sers is the perfect base for day-trips to explore cities like Angouleme, Perigueux, Brantome, Limoges and Poitiers. The seaside resorts of La Rochelle, l’Ile de Ré, l’Ile d’Oleron and Royan are attractive destinations with sandy beaches and summer music festivals.

Two spacious apartments occupy the two wings of the chateau providing privacy and independence when each is rented separately. However, both can be connected with access through the music room in the centre of the chateau, creating a larger, single space.

The Medieval wing is suitable for 4 to 5 people.
The Classical wing is suitable for 6 to 9 people.
Each wing has its own entrance.
