Perfect farmhouse accomodations
What a fabulous four days at Ann and Dans farmhouse! The farmhouse itself is beautifully restored with modern conveniences, without losing character. Located in a central spot with so many tourist destinations close by, we ended up wishing we had more time to just be at the farmhouse as it was so welcoming and homey. Ann had left us some basics for the kitchen which we really appreciated and their sweet dog Was there to greet us everyone we returned, just like coming home! I would mention that some of the ceilings are low (if you’re close to six foot or taller) upstairs but as long as you are aware of it, it’s no problem. Ann mentioned it at check in and I had no problem at all. I am hoping to get back here again in the future!
The absolute highlight of our trip to Ireland
We will never forget our time at the Earlson Farmhouse...staying there was a fabulous experience. In fact, we can't wait for the next time! The Farmhouse is charming, cozy, comfortable and large. Each room downstairs is a perfect gathering place after a day exploring the countryside and sights of Ireland. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully appointed - a wonderful place to retreat to for a quiet night's sleep in the country. The amenities of the farmhouse are more than ample for a group (we were five adults) and the surrounding countryside was perfect for early morning or late afternoon walks. We found ourselves looking forward to getting "home" each night after long days of sightseeing.
Dan and Anne were the perfect hosts...they made sure we were comfortable and informed about the interesting sights nearby. They suggested a local pub which did not disappoint. Sadie, their lovely dog was always waiting for us in the morning and greeted us each evening when we returned. Dan had the fire going in the fireplace each night and as a result it was a warm and cozy place to return home to.
We could not be more grateful to Anne and Dan for organizing the return of some documents left behind. They went out of their way to ensure that we got them safely before leaving the country....all while they were busy hosting their daughter's wedding at the Farmhouse the next day.
Our stay touched us on many levels - the gorgeous farmhouse, the lovely and quiet countryside, the central location and the perfect hosts. We would highly recommend the Earlson Farmhouse to anyone looking for a memorable (and special) trip to Ireland.

Simply not adequate.
We only stayed one night out of the 6 nights booked. Description indicated there was a main bedroom, which we interpreted to be on the main floor. A member of our family has a mobility issue and cannot do stairs.
The farmhouse is damp and musty smelling.. couldn’t wait to get out in the fresh air the next day. Kitchen is poorly equipped, with one pot and pan. The staircase upstairs has low ceiling and low doorways, for those who are over 6’.
It is regrettable that you believe you had an unpleasant stay with us...As mentioned to you,if you had raised to us in advance of your arrival that you had any concerns with mobility issues after reading the profile of our house with photos which clearly showcases an oldstyle farmhouse with quirky features we would have advised against a reservation... We find it then deeply upsetting that you should post a review with untrue and unfounded comments about the property for not receiving a full refund. As you would have read in our guest reviews ,in advance of your stay, they are always positive as we take great pride and care to ensure each and every guest leaves with a positive stay with us... Warm Regards, Daniel and Anne
Great base camp
Our group of six Southern USA women loved our stay at Anne and Dan’s 300 year old farm house. The kitchen was stocked on our arrival with adequate supplies for our first night’s meal and a tasty breakfast. Dan met with us to help with our itinerary offering helpful hints! We made easy day trips to the Wild Atlantic Way.
Woukd love to stay again!
This incredible home was absolutely charming, and Anne and Dan were the ultimate host and hostess!
My family and I loved staying at the Earlson Farmhouse when we traveled to Adare for a wedding. It was very comfortable for 6 adults, and it was conveniently located not far from the Village in Adare. The beautiful landscape, peaceful Apple Orchard, and fields of cattle provide absolute tranquility. Anne and Dan were fantastic and so accommodating! This home has been remodeled to include updated electrical and plumbing, while maintaining the charm of old! If you are looking for a homey place to stay while visiting Adare and surrounding areas, this lovely home should be at the top of your list!
Beautiful house and much larger than it appears! Great base camp location for visiting many sites.
The host Dan and Anne were fabulous and gave ideas for site seeing. The base location allowed us to visit Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Rock of Cashel, Bunratty Castle, Blarney Castle, Blarney House, Kilkenny Castle, Limerick, Portmagee, Cork, Dublin, Dingle Peninsula, Skellig Micheal Island (Filming of Star Wars – boats cancelled because of rough waters) and many more locations. We would leave in the morning then return in the evenings for relaxation at “home”.
The charming 300-year-old farm house is very large and sleeps 6 comfortably with all the amenities of home. For example, walking from one side of the downstairs starts in the sitting room with fireplace and TV, moving to the formal dining room, then to an informal dining area, to the kitchen also with chairs and table, into a laundry room with bathroom and a second back door. Upstairs is just a long with 3 huge bedrooms and 2 baths. On the back of the house is the pasture with live animals and the front of the house has a mountain for hiking. Very scenic, relaxing view in all directions.
I hope we get a chance to return. The Clifford’s (Bob, Izumi, Robert)
