About Debra Grimes
I have lived in Nashville for over 27 years. Most of that time I lived in Hillsboro Village which is an awesome community. Originally from WI, I have lived in eight different states - 3 of them while I was in the Navy. I have two daughters, both are married and live in Nashville and between them they have 4 sons. My current career is in real estate but I have been a radioman, a farmer, an accountant, and a management consultant. I love real estate however as I really enjoy helping people find their 'home'.
Debra Grimes purchased this Condo in 2007
Why Debra Grimes chose Hillsboro Village
I bought this condo right before the recession and have since moved to a larger home. I was lucky enough to be able to keep the condo when I moved and have really enjoyed meeting all the people who use it while they stay in Nashville. Some have stayed only a month but some for almost a year while they searched for a home. It's located in a great community. When I lived here I seldom left the area as the shops, restaurants, parks, etc are all so close. I could walk to my favorite coffee shop-fido and meet with friends and family. Being close to Vanderbilt, Music Row and downtown it has attracted many people because of the great vibe in the area but also because you can get anywhere easily and quickly. I loved to walk my dog or run through the neighborhood and see all the beautiful historic homes, the beautiful gardens, and the wonderful people. I still come every Wednesday for yoga and dinner at fido. The real estate form I work for is located in the area as well.
What makes this Condo unique
I keep repeating convenience- everything you need is in walking distance, a grocery store, restaurants, a historic theater, cute boutiques, park, the bus stop - or just a short car or bus ride away. The condo itself is fairly new, built in 2007, and very well built. Once you walk inside and shut the door the city life outside just fades away.
The condo is just steps away from Hillsboro Village full of fun shops and great restaurants, and just blocks away from Vanderbilt Medical Center and University and Belmont University. fido a local coffee shop and restaurant and Sunset Grill have both been in the area for many years and serve great food. You can walk to at least a dozen restaurants in less than a mile. The shops are cute boutiques many which leave water and treats out for those walking their dogs.
The historic Belcourt theater is just a block away shows art films regularly as well as hosting music and community events. There is also a spa on the corner for all the pampering you may seek.
Located in a historic neighborhood area, there are parks within walking distance including Centennial Park which has an exact replica of the Parthenon and walking and running paths. The park also hosts art and music festivals throughout the year. Fannie Mae Dees Park, just a block away has a children's playground which is accessible to children of all abilities. Radnor Lake, Percy Warner, and Beeman parks are just a short drive and have great hiking trails. Percy Warner has dirt bike and equestrian trails as well. Taylor Swift and Nicole Kidman hike the parks on a regular basis.
Downtown Nashville is just 3 miles and easily accessible by bus, with a bus stop just steps from the condo. The Music City Center, Nashville's convention center; the Country Music Hall of Fame; the Frist Museum; the new baseball stadium; the arena where the Predator's play and hosts many shows and music events; TPAC for live theater; the Schemerhorn Symphony center; the Titans stadium; and many honky tonks and restaurants are all located downtown.
Live music abounds in and around Hillsboro Village. And just minutes away is the Gulch, Nashville's newest neighborhood with great restaurants, micro breweries, shops, and lots of beautiful people.
Music Row, home to record labels and recording studios is just a mile away.
Green Hills just a short drive or bus ride is home to many restaurants and the Green Hills Mall - a great shopping destination with shops such as Nordstrom, Dillards, Restoration Hardware, Tiffany's, etc.
East Nashville and Germantown both known for their great restaurants, some recognized as top ones in the country are also easy to get to. East Nashville is also home to many cute shops.
