Large family home of character, in a quiet farm, independent house, overlooking the horses and the countryside. The house was completely renovated in 2013 with care. If you are looking for rest and tranquility it is the perfect place. The animals in the low current range freely, children can go straight for the hens eggs in the nests .Te road to to the house ends as paths. The house is located between Utah and Omaha beach and near by all the famous touristic spots.

We cannot say enough about this property! We had two families and eight total people, including four kids ranging in age from 10 to 15 and it was wonderful. It is a gorgeous old property on a beautiful farm in the countryside and was the perfect location for going to different World War II memorials and sites. The house was incredibly clean and very well appointed. Catherine was a helpful hostess.

The property was lovely and the hosts accommodating, however, was a little miffed that the property was not as advertised. We were under the impression that we had the whole house, but upon check in 2 of the bedrooms were locked. We had to pay an extra 150 euros in order for an uncle and nephew to not have to share a room with single beds. We also had to ask for the washing machine area to be unlocked so that we could use it if required

I understand your disappointment, but the Abritel website is set up so that the house is automatically booked for 10 people. If you’d like to have the entire house to yourselves, simply let us know via message—and, as you can imagine, this will cost more. This pricing structure allows smaller families to pay less for the rental than they would if the default rate were for 14 people. Regarding the laundry room: it is shared and is used for all laundry during the rental. That is why it is available upon request for short stays. Our guests can always access it whenever they need it.

Catherine's house was beautiful and spacious. We were 13 people -- three families, all siblings and cousins. there was plenty of space for us to gather, and we especially enjoyed cooking together and gathering in the evening over (many bottles of!) French wine and Normandy cider. The home is only about 10 minutes from the town of Isigny-sur-Mer and less than 5 minutes from a grocery store, but the location itself is very quiet. We came to visit the D-Day beaches, which were also fairly close by. All of us enjoyed our stay very much -- and we loved Catherine's two friendly dogs too!

A truly delightful house with a lot of French charm. Large kitchen, living room with fireplace and pool table, 3 bathrooms and a ton of bedrooms. A nice garden area in the back for relaxing. The home is pretty old but has been beautifully renovated. Catherine, the owner, lives next door and has 2 friendly dogs as well as ducks and chicken. Catherine was friendly and answered all questions quickly. Highly recommend!

Great family place

Out in the countryside but just ten minutes at most by car to bakeries and supermarket. Good location for seeing the beaches. Our hosts were very nice, and their dog made friends with our grandkids immediately. Spacious accommodations. Only downside was a minimal supply of toilet paper and rather light supplies of cooking spices, etc. overall a really nice place for families, nice hosts, good location. Would definitely recommed it.

The house was fabulous. The property is gorgeous with a beautifully renovated farm house -modern amenities and comforts within a classic setting. Top notch furnishings and very tasteful The perfect location for DDay beaches and Monte St Michel daytrips. Peaceful and restorative - we could not have been happier. Catherine our host and her family were lovely. We were sad to leave!

Perfect in every way!

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Catherine’s beautiful gîte! We drove from the UK and met up with the grandparents from the US in order to see all of the D-Day sites. This location was absolutely perfect to visit sites around Bayeux and also Utah Beach and Ste Mere Eglise. We previously stayed closer to Bayeux and this location was much better for visiting sites in both directions. The house is substantial and perfectly accommodated our group. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for easy dinners in. My son absolutely loved the dogs and chickens on the property! There are two groceries within easy driving distance. We had a packed 5 days and saw everything on our list and more! Would absolutely stay again!

Unbelievably Amazing

This ancient home is THE place to stay if you are visiting the Normandy area. House is immaculate, clean, and has all the modern amenities you’d need. Comfortable, tons of space, comfortable beds, quiet and picturesque. We stayed with 10 people ranging from age 10-70 years old and everyone had a nice bed to sleep in. The host and hostess went above and beyond to welcome us, remaining flexible with our up-in-the-air arrival time due to strikes in Paris. They showed us around, provided farm fresh eggs our last morning, allowed my daughter to play with their friendly dog outside, showed us their horse, and even built a fire for us on the last night. My only regret is that we didn’t plan to stay longer. 5 stars!!!

Nous comprenons que vous ayez pu être incommodés par le voisinage à la fois de notre maison et peut-être de notre autre gîte présent sur la propriété ; sans doute vous attendiez vous à une autre configuration. Les différents hébergements font partie d'un grand corps de ferme typique, c'est ce qui fait leur charme (c'est indiqué dans l'annonce mais nous allons le clarifier encore davantage). La plupart de nos hôtes apprécient de pouvoir échanger avec nous et nous sommes toujours heureux de leur rendre service ou de les informer comme en témoignent la majorité de leurs commentaires.

We verbleven voor 6 nachten/5 dagen met 10 personen. De accommodatie was heel proper met mooi opgemaakte bedden, parkeergelegenheid op het terrein zelf, gebruik van de grote keuken met alle benodigdheden. De eigenaars hebben 2 honden (niet de hele tijd los op het terrein),die dol enthousiast en lief zijn, maar als er mensen zijn met schrik voor honden, wel even vermelden bij het boeken/reserveren.

Idéal pour se retrouver à plusieurs

Le gîte est très agréable pour une famille comme nous qui a plaisir à se retrouver. Chacun a son espace très confortablement installé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût et nous avons pu bénéficier des espaces communs bien équipés (salon et cuisine) pour partager nos repas et passer du temps tous ensemble. Le billard et la table de ping-pong ont aussi été très appréciés.

Vacances en famille avec des enfants et des adolescents.

Nous avons apprécié l'espace de la maison et les 5 chambres avec trois espaces distincts, mais j'ai particulièrement apprécié la grande cuisine bien équipée et très lumineuse qui autorise des repas à 6 personnes sans aucun problème de circulation, et des soirées avec des jeux de sociétés. Les garçons ont adoré le billard et ma fille a profité de son espace pour dessiner et peindre. Localisation idéale pour faire des sorties historiques de Utha, Sainte mère l'église jusqu'à Caen en passant par Colville et la pointe du Hoc.

Perfect picturesque property

Very accommodating. We ended up arriving much later than anticipated and the owners awaited our arrival without hesitation. Clean property with a lot to do and fun for the kids. I seriously do not think it could have been a better location for seeing the beaches, museums, etc. You really got the true feel of not only what it was like during WW2 but also in current relaxing times. Highly recommended

Alles bestens

Das Haus war sehr schön und vollständig eingerichtet. Der kleine Billiardtisch hat in den wenigen Regentagen keine Langeweile aufkommen lassen. Die Gastgeber waren zuvorkommend und völlig unkompliziert. Der Hofhund und die Hühner und Enten haben zum Wohlbefinden beigetragen. Das Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub.

Fantastic house with warm hosts!

We had a really fantastic time in Isigny sur Mer. The hosts are very charming and warm people. The house is beautifully situated and had spacious neat rooms, each with their own bathroom. The house has every accomadation and is really neat. Of we visit Normandy again, we will boon the house immediatly.
