I am a local school teacher, outdoor enthusiast, and mom. I grew up in this town, and love this community and all that Idaho has to offer.
Patricia purchased this house in 2012
This is our dream home. Room for the kids to roam and explore outdoors, a pool, beautiful yard, and quiet country setting. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to raise our family here.
Pool, great views, acreage, huge yard, fire place, game room, and great master room and bath!
This property was plenty big for our family to all stay. Location was very convenient to the wedding venue we were going to. Loved all the activity for kids! Some small things could be improved- ( ex: bathroom didn't lock) but overall very nice.
We found this home to be very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the yard. We planned a number of fun activities outside and they were all successful. The owner was great to work with and went out of her way to make sure our stay was successful. We would rent this home again and would recommend it to others.
We stayed at Patricia's home when our daughter was graduating from Boise State University. We had a large group and her home fit us very well. Having the large stove and double ovens made cooking for our crew a pleasure. The country setting was perfect. Watching the goats and horses was a special treat. We were able to bring the family dogs and they enjoyed the property as well. Patricia was very accommodating for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and having so many bathrooms was very convenient for our large family. The downstairs bedroom, with the futon, was perfect for our senior member of our family. She was very cozy and enjoyed having her own bath and not having to use the stairs. Even though it was early in the season, my niece and her friend, made good use of the pool. We had a wonderful lunch at Enrique's in Kuna.
Great house! The home is well stocked with amenities and is very well laid out. It was clean when we arrived and the owners were very accommodating. It's out in the country, but approximately 10 miles to Boise so we could easily shop and enjoy all of the Boise area. I recommend this house to families with kids as there is a huge yard with lots to play with. Would definitely stay here again.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This house is truly unique and very private. It is located on a very large piece of land with large trees and beautiful lawn with adjacent horse properties. We loved watching the horses as they were very active and playful in the early evening. There was also a gorgeous sunset. The front of the house is buffered by large stand of quaking aspens with a great hammock in the middle. We loved sitting on the front porch at night. The master bedroom was very light and airy with great views and the king bed was one of the nicest I've ever slept in. The master bath was very nice with an awesome bathtub that was enormous and very relaxing. The other 3 bedrooms were very nice, one having a private bathroom and the other two sharing a bathroom. But the biggest hit, at least for our 2 children, was the pool. It had a great slide and diving board and two large under water benches to relax. When it came time to leave, our kids did not want to get out of the pool !! Pool aside, this is an outstanding property with large open living spaces.
What a wonderful home to share with us. The country feel with lots of amenities were just what our family needed for our vacation. The pool was a sure hit during the hot temperatures. There was plenty of space for everyone to get ready and you never feel like you are stepping on eachother. The animals were such a delight and to sit and watch the sun rise every morning with our coffee was breath taking. This was a place to escape to.
Kuna is 15 minutes from Idaho's capital and a great small town, rural, farming community. It is home to Snake River Birds of Prey Conservation, which has the highest density of nesting raptors in North America. The conservation area is a 20 minute drive from the home. The area is a great place to fish, boat, view birds of prey, or just picnic and spend the afternoon. Also off of the Snake River is Celebration Park, Idaho’s only archaeological park, where you can view petroglyphs 100 to 10,000 years old and enjoy throwing a dart with an atlatl. Kuna is a very small downtown, but is well known for one of the best Mexican restaurants in Idaho, El Gallo Giro. Five minutes from the home is miles of public dirt hiking and biking trails, called the Kuna Butte.
Another 15 minutes in the other direction takes you to the World Center Birds of Prey, which is an amazing bird conservation place to visit on top of a Boise hilltop.
Nearby is Idaho's capital, Boise, listed National Geographic's Adventure magazine one of the top 31 adventure towns in the United States. Boise is an amazing place and there is so much close by to do. It is home to Boise State Bronco's famous blue turf. In addition there are history museums, an art museum, amazing large parks, downtown Boise, the Idaho Botanical gardens, Historical Old Penitentiary, Boise Zoo, Discovery Center of Idaho, the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, the state capital, Boise River greenbelt with miles of trails, the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, and Boise Mall.
Skiing and sledding is a 45 min drive to skiing at Bogus Basin, which also offers great hiking and mountain bike outings in the summer.
There is so many amazing outdoor day trips from this great rental.
