This beautiful mountain home is nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Fawn Haven Cabin is a truly inspirational home situated a stones throw from the North Fork of the South Platte River and nestled in the solitude of the Pike National Forest. The sound of the river rapids are heard year round and sweeping views of the mountains make for some of the best views in the area.
Fawn Haven Cabin is the perfect location for writers, artists, lovers, hikers, anglers, and all those who seek intimate sanctuary and solitude from city life. You will be surrounded by nature, tall pines, firs, wildflowers, deer, elk, wild turkeys, small mammals, fox, a variety of native birds and the picturesque beauty of Colorado Rocky Mountain backdrop.
Located on one of the surrounding mountainsides of Bailey, Colorado and is just forty-five minutes south west of Denver on Highway 285. This community has maintained it's small town charm, but yet still offers a short drive to the big city and all the Colorado Mountains have to offer.
As life long Colorado natives, we take full advantage of Fawn Haven Cabin to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. However, we are not able to stay full time so we are looking forward to sharing the happiness that accompanies Fawn Haven Cabin with all of you.
Fawn Haven has enchanting views, is secluded in the wilderness and the backyard looks out into a million acres of Pike National Forest. The unique benefits of this getaway is that it is only a short drive from beautiful attractions like Mt. Evans Wilderness, Wellington Lake, Cheeseman Reservoir, Kenosha Pass, Windy Peak, The Castle, Deckers, Pike National Forest, Eleven Mile State Park.
World class fishing can be found in several amazing streams only a short drive away on top of the small pristine section of the North Fork of the South Platte. It is located just close enough to decent sized towns if you want to grocery shop, eat out or even have a Starbucks. All the while, you feel a million miles away from everything when at the cabin.
You will truly appreciate the work that has gone into this place. It is a true treasure. The living area has a gas burning stove and a wood burning stove along with 3 very comfortable sofas. There is a family room downstairs with 4 recliners, a 57” high definition TV, a blue ray player, a sound bar, and a video library and a ping pong table. There is a beautiful lofted deck around 75% of the house that over looks the majestic mountains scenery.
It also has a ramp from the deck down into a fenced dog run. There are two sections to the dog run: a smaller one for night time that is lit and a gate that opens the dog run up to almost an acre for the four legged friends to explore during the day. The kitchen is open to the living area and has custom made cabinets, bar style counter, gas stove, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer with ice maker.

Perfect for our family trip!!!
Gorgeous views!!! And lots of deer!!!
The cabin was perfect for our family getaway. A beautiful cabin, beautiful views, and lots of fun. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful area but dirty home.
Although the area was wonderful and the rustic home had charm it was very apparent it is not professionally cleaned. Large amounts of dust and dirt were everywhere in the home and the kitchen had not been mopped. We had to clean the kitchen, dining area before we could move our stuff in for the weekend. The dishwasher is completely rusted out and the linens smelled of mildew. The truly unfortunate part was that I reached out to the owner and he does not seem to think this is a problem. As a VRBO renter and for the amount of rent that was paid I feel the property should of been professionally cleaned before we arrived!
There are not large amounts of dust and dirt in the home. There was dirt/dust in the kitchen corner behind a trunk, thats it. The towels certainly don't smell like mildew, they are freshly washed every time. Christine failed to mention that she wanted her money back and was basically wanting to be paid off so she didn't leave a negative review. I'm sorry but we won't pay bribes. Read all the other positive reviews below.
The cabin is a great place to stay with amazing views. We have 80 plus 4 and 5 star reviews and a full sign in book at the house with even more great things to say about the place, none mention anything about the place being dirty.
Unfortunately, once in a blue moon someone goes looking for something so they can try and get something for free.
Great view, and awesome decor. Really enjoyed the wood burning stove and the dog run
Absolutely loved the place. Will definitely be booking again!
Perfect mountain cabin for family retreat
My family and I traveled to Denver from NY for my son's wedding. This cabin had everything you could want -- to include incidentals. It had plenty of space to for everyone and had a warm family feel as well.
