For a weekend, vacation, with friends or family, you will discover, nestled in the hollow of a 400 hectare park, a comfortable and spacious forest house (furnished with tourist classification 4 stars) with elegant interior.
Once through the gate, a long wooded promenade leads you there.
The simple but authentic decoration makes it welcoming; but what about the surroundings:
a heated swimming pool (from May 1 to September 30) which will allow you to relax after your trip, the more athletic will play a tennis match, as for the more daring, they will go for a walk in the park to discover the animals in freedom: deer, deer, fallow deer, wild boar and the possibility of fishing in the estate's pond.
The mild climate, the Domaine and the discovery of Touraine make it a timeless vacation spot ideal for family or friends.
You can take full advantage of the surrounding nature to recharge your batteries. You will also explore Touraine, its castles, its gastronomy and its cellars (Bourgueil, Chinon, Vouvray, etc.).

Wonderful peaceful stay

Beautiful house in an incredibly quiet, peaceful place surrounded by forest and nature. We had an amazing stay with friends, and our kids (9 to 12) loved the tennis, pool and table tennis. The house itself is really well equipped, qnd serves as an excellent gateway to a gorgeous part of France - we went canoeing on the Loire, winetasting (several times) and visited Tours, Villandry and some other smaller local gems. All in all - highly recommended.

Excellent holiday property. Peaceful and very relaxing.

Great place for a relaxing holiday. We visited with 3 children (ages 6,4 and 1). Lots for them to do with the tennis court, pool, exploring the grounds and spotting all the animals in the forest. Laure met us at the property and was really friendly and helpful. The house is amazing, clean and well equipped. Beds are comfy. There’s lots to do nearby in the surrounding area. So many Châteaus and lovely villages. Great flat cycling along the Loire. We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful secluded property

Our experience of renting this house was wonderful. The photos do not do it justice! The decor is more modern than it appears in the photos, the communal space is huge, and there are a number of outdoor seating areas which mean that you can catch the sun at any time of the day. The pool was perfect for our two families with young children. It is fenced off, shallow and excellent for children who are learning to swim. The location is extremely rural, with no amenities in walking distance, but we had a brilliant time spotting deer, hare and warthog in the local woods with the kids. The tennis courts, table tennis and pool kept the children amused for hours. Our only challenge was visiting during the recent heatwave, but the property manager did everything she could to help us out by providing fans and was exceptionally helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Spacious retreat for relaxing summer break

A very quiet and private villa; a large, beautifully converted barn on a huge amount of land! Our 3 dogs loved running round within the fenced grounds, although we needed to keep an eye that they didn’t go into the ponds within the villa’s fence, none of which are fenced. The heated pool was fenced and was actually heated to a very pleasant temperature - it was delightful to swim in and for our girls (9 and 12) to play in. We all loved playing ping pong and tennis on the court. The villa is very spacious and great for a family (7 of us, inc my mother, brother and his wife and dogs) who might need to find a quiet spot on occasion. Bedrooms are all similar sizes and all have either an ensuite or a bathroom opposite - couldn’t fault them. We did not venture for a walk beyond the villa’s fence, largely due to the horse flies which are abundant beyond the gates. Our high level insect repellent was needed. However, there was plenty of outside space without going into the forest. We saw deer and boar from the villa, plus woodpeckers and heron. Villandry is a quick drive away and our favourite Chateau due to its beautiful garden. We went to the Night of a 1000 lights on our first night and were dazzled with a stunning light and firework display - worth a trip. The supermarket is only a 10 min drive away and easy to find. We would definitely return, but would be sure to remember our insect repellent for forest and round the ponds! Communication with the hosts was excellent. Thank you!

Fabulous family holiday

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances - de 3 à 73 ans. La piscine était propre tous les temps - nous avons tous aimés jouer au tennis et au foot. Et il y avait beaucoup d’excitation quand nous avons vu le sanglier. Il y a un supermarché SuperU à proximité qui est bien approvisionné surtout pour un BBQ. Merci à Natalie pour s’occuper de tout

Calme et dépaysant

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable au Carroi Jaune à 3 familles (5 adultes, 7 enfants et adolescents). La propriété est fonctionnelle et bien entretenue. C’est un havre de paix idéal pour les amoureux de la nature, avec Tours à seulement 20 minutes en voiture. Seul bémol, certaines literies mériteraient d’être changées.

Holidays 2017

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back, but had some issues with the property. The kitchen didn't have adequate working surfaces, we had to move the microwave, toaster etc to make room. The cupboard under the sink which housed the recycling bags was smelly and the bags were dirty. There was a large gap in the worktop at the sink which was not hygienic. All in all the kitchen was not the standard we would expect. The stairs up to the mezzanine were dangerous at the top because of a wooden slat across the top stair, which we tripped on. The approach road was very rough and although we drove over it very slowly and carefully one of our party had a puncture which caused a ripped tyre which he had to replace himself. (this was a new car) The dining area outside the kitchen needs a new roof as the rain comes through. We would rather have paid for the property in British Pounds as paying in Euros meant we had another £150 bank charges. These are all things which can be put right so hopefully improvements will be made and we will go back next year. Swimming pool and tennis court were fabulous

Superbe séjour

Nous sommes venus en groupe d'amis et nous avons passé un agréable séjour . La maison est charmante . Chacun y trouve sa place . Nous avons pu observer de nombreux animaux tels que des cerfs, des sangliers... Nous sommes tous ravis ! C'est convival et reposant . Bravo surtout à notre interlocutrice, l'assistante de la propriétaire,qui s'est montrée très disponible et qui nous a superbement bien accueilli. Nous reviendrons c'est sur !

Excellent séjour au Carroi Jaune!

Domaine exceptionnel, parfait pour le séjour entre amis que nous recherchions. La piscine, le court de tennis en parfait état et la taille du domaine ne donnent pas envie d'en sortir tellement il y a de choses à y faire. La maison elle aussi est d'une grande qualité, décorée avec goût, elle correspondait parfaitement à nos envies. La propriétaire est d'une gentillesse et d'un dynamisme qui donnent envie d'y retourner chaque année. N'hésitez pas à réserver! Vincent

De omgeving is erg mooi en heel erg privé op een apart domein. Meteen ook ver weg van winkels ed.

Een mooi huis in een natuurgebied waar we herten en everzwijnen hebben gezien. Het zwembad is fantastisch met heerlijke ligstoelen en de tennisbaan is ook erg leuk. Ook een tafeltennis tafel zorgt voor gezelligheid en op het grote grasveld kan veel gedaan worden. Het huis heeft een gezellige zit onder een overkapping. Het huis is wel groot en kan daardoor wat onoverzichtelijk zijn. Verder is het internet, doordat het huis afgelegen ligt, slecht. Dat vonden wij een nadeel. Ook moet je je erop instellen dat een stokbrood halen bij de plaatselijke bakker niet tot de mogelijkheden behoort. Dan zul je eerst een eind moeten rijden. Niet onoverkomelijk, maar wel handig om te weten. Hou ook rekening met vliegen die af en toe heel actief zijn. Maar we hebben we een geweldige week gehad op een uniek terrein. De eigenaren zijn ook heel behulpzaam.

we have had a wonderful stay with family at the the property.

The barn conversion was done to a high standard. we stayed with 8 adults and 4 children and had plenty of space.Facilities around were great the children had good fun in the pool and the tennis court. The free roaming wild life of deer and wild bore were a nice addition to give it that rural feel whilst being close to a big town and amenities. The pictures shown on the web site do it no justice as the real thing is far nicer. I recommend it to anyone

Tout fut merveilleux au carroi jaune; de l'accueil très chaleureux et enthousiaste par Sandrine jusqu'au au départ par le garde chasse. Nous sommes venus en famille. 9 personnes au total. Nous nous croyions dans un château au milieu des bois. La maison est très grande et très fonctionnelle. Les animaux ont fait le ravissement des petits comme des grands. Un vrai bonheur! Superbe propriété

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre amis. La propriété est très belle, le jardin est immense, l'étang, la piscine: parfait pour se détendre. Le domaine boisé permet de pouvoir observer les animaux et de s'y promener. La maison en elle même est très fonctionnelle, nous n'avons manqué de rien. La cheminée est là pour nous réchauffer en cas de nuit fraiche. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir!
