Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
f you enjoy a musty, cold cabin that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a few years this is the place for you. The only source of heat is two wall heaters in the main floor, one in the basement and two plug in heaters, if you can find working outlets. If you go to use their dishes, double check them, as they more than likely were not washed. Unless of course, you like to cook with other peoples food and grease stuck to your pots, pans or plates. Plan on living in the dark ages in the loft as there are no working outlets, which means no lights or outlets to plug in the portable heaters. The basement was fully stocked with lots of board games and a fuseball table, with no ball. The hot tub is nice, especially given the beautiful scenery.
I've read nearly all of the reviews on this place so felt i had to write one myself after stsying here. I think 3 stars is fair. Im going to try to hit all the high points.
Other reviewers who had negative impressions mentioned: the spiral staircase, small bathrooms, lack of pretty much any kitchen items, dated decor, cleanliness. All TRUE!
The stairs are sketchy. Definitely rethink booking this place if you have small dogs or kids. Also forget it if you have people with mobility issues or ADA accessibility needs.
Also, bring EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Spices! There was only salt and garlic salt there. Bring oil, foil, good knives, pots and pans. The pots and pans at the house are old and deformed not sitting evenly on the burners. This may seem crazy but bring sponges and cleaning spray! Yes, this is true. There isnt a dishwasher. They give you a small dish soap but no sponges or dish cleaning materials beyond that. Nothing to wipe the counters or table after cooking. Leading me to mention dish cleanliness. I would recommend washing your dishes BEFORE you use them. We pulled several out from the cabinet that were dirty.
Also, be aware of power outages in rain season. We lost power at 530am the day after we checked in. We didnt regain power until 9pm that night. There are no emergency supplies available in the house. They had 3 flashlights but none had batteries or had batteries that were corroded. The water doesnt work without power so we also had no heat, no water or restroom for the entire day. We are still waiting to hear from Vacasa/vrbo regarding compensation for that entire day. A neighbor we spoke with said power goes out often so be prepared! Not sure why this house wasnt stocked with flashlights and candles given that info.
The bed we slept in was very comfortable. Memory foam I believe.
The house gets 1 star.
The hot tub, deck and dock get 4 stars! We wanted to fish and kayak while there and were able to do both. It really is a beautiful lake! Stellar hot tub and view from the tub. Though not private as the neighbor next door has a direct view from their deck.
Bring outdoor or camping chairs. They have a few tables outside on the deck but dont provide chairs for sitting. they have a gas grill that worked fine when we used it. Bring grill tools!
To sum it up, I would look at others places on the lake before booking this one. I may rent again if nothing else was available and it was on the lower price end.
We loved our time at this house. So conveniently located, so clean, and the lake is beautiful.
My husband, little dog Natasha and I stayed in this beautiful little retro A frame and loved it. We will most definitely be coming back again. Next time with some friends to enjoy this little piece of serenity with us. Thank you VACASA !
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet seclusion of this little house. Getting to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the view of the lake was very relaxing and just what the doctor ordered.
Loved the seclusion of the property. Nestled back in the woods with a pretty good view of the lake. The hot tub was amazing! It was exactly what the wife and I needed
