About Chris and Shelley Jensen
We live in Tampa, Florida and spend as much time as we can relaxing in Salt Cay. Chris is a sales manager for a telecommunications company and Shelley is a veterinarian. We are both huge animal lovers and avid travelers. We share our home in Tampa with 4 rescue dogs, a parrot, and 3 tortoises. Some of our traveling is spent leading spay/neuter projects to underserved areas in Central and South America and the Caribbean. We organized and led a volunteer animal project to Salt Cay in March 2014 and on that trip we fell in love with and bought our beach house there.

Why Chris and Shelley Jensen chose Balfour Town
We fell in love with the Old Morgan Estate the first time we saw it. The location right on the ocean is breathtaking and once we watched the sunset over the water we were sold. The property is large and private with direct access to a beautiful little beach. There is so much charm, history, and good energy here that you can't help but love it!
What makes this Cottage unique
We were initially drawn to Salt Cay by the chance to swim with Humpback Whales and to snorkel and dive in the warm, calm waters right off the island. Once we visited the island a couple of times we realized that this was the most relaxing place we had ever experienced. We both have busy work lives in Tampa and have had a difficult time really unplugging from work on previous vacations, but this is not the case in Salt Cay. After 24 hours on the island, you feel a calmness come over you and you don't even think about your busy life back at home. Each day on Salt Cay is a wonderful combination of snorkeling, walking on the beautiful beach, exploring the island by bicycle, relaxing in the hammock, kayaking, and watching the spectacular sunsets. Even daily chores like cooking dinner and hanging laundry on the line to dry feel like a vacation in this beautiful, relaxing place.
