My origins are in Puglia where I used to spend many months a year when I was little. I always visit this land and often and often I hope to do. I have been travelling a lot, lived abroad and I am now living in Torino. During Summer I almost never move from Peschici :-)
Why Paola chose Peschici
My parents bought this small house many years ago but it has been used for very short times. My brother and I, together with my parents, decided to renovate it, also to give new life to the old town which is now trying to live again and not only in summer. We tried to respect the deep soul of the place, using materials and colors typical of the area. Furniture were present I received, belonging to the place as well. I hope to give live with a modern touch to our traditions. The small house is of about 44 sm with a large and fantastic terrace facing the sea which makes it somehow magic in each hour of the day and all in all seasons. I consider it to be a magic place to enjoy and restore your soul all year long.
What makes this Apartment unique
The terrace is maybe the top, the masterpiece of the house. Great view on the sea with incredible sunrise which will leave you breathless. I love and find very charming the few high steps (as it was in the past) you need to take to be in front of the door from where other high steps will let you in the living room and its window on the sea

A Peschici you must try the 'Troccoli' (homemade spaghetti, a bit 'thick) with sauce and ricotta cheese toasts, or with clams.
Not to be missed: stuffed aubergines; stuffed squid
A sort of gigantic sandwich is the 'pizza alla Vampa' (in Via Malacera) - also called 'paposcia' - which replaces a pizza-like meal. Nourishes and feeds!
Peschici RESTAURANTS, MY FAVORITES
_The Buria (Provincial Road 52) that provides an excellent pizza and the first really missed fish.
_The Taverna (open all year in the heart of the old town of Peschici). If you want to do a boat tour, try asking Matteo.
_Eden. From here you can see Peschici at the top and enjoy the view on the boats in front of the small harbor. The children are free to play on the beach that overlooks the restaurant. Great their fish on the grill, but if you're a little 'curious do not be afraid to ask for the traditional dish of the day.
_Ristorante Porta di Basso, where Dominic Cilento will delight the palate. If you do not suffer from vertigo and want a romantic dinner, book a table on the terrace overlooking the cliff
_Chiusa Of More, which also unduo beautiful B & B. set menu and you begin to dine together. Really great food with a view of Peschici!
_Trabucco From Mimi. It does not need many words because the place is just magical. I would definitely recommend to go before sunset to take at least one of their superb aperitif with excellent wines and local beers. The sun will dip in the sea in front of you while this clever spider made of different types of woods and networks sbucherà from the rock and the sea.
Buffalo mozzarella 'LI CATS' are my favorite among those in the area. It is not easy to find them in Peschici, but unearthed in a fruit and vegetable shop (and not only) run by Tea, opposite the station of the Carabinieri, that receives every day. Select the envelope with small morsels. Pure pleasure of the palate!
An information: those who want to buy them on the day of departure knows that can freeze leaving them in your bag full of water and enjoy them even in February ... Double pleasure!
DESSERTS in Peschici
Do not miss those of Miriam at the Pasticceria Golosa Passione. My favorites are the tarallini wine or sweets with fig juice.
Then there are the 'wafers stuffed' with caramelized almonds.
The 'cartellate' (a kind of fig juice fried swivel and covered) do not know how to do well in Peschici, let us say, but it is worth trying it at least once.
At BAR ROCCO, on the 'rub' boulevard serve excellent granita. If you are in Peschici in the summer try asking the melon or the blackberry (my favorite! but be careful not macchiarvi ...!)
To a great ICE CREAM, get in line by PINAGEL.
A sample of Vico Gargano everything you can to Bar Pizzicato (sweets, ice cream, cookies, cocktails ...).
They make excellent centrifuges with citrus fruits from the area.
Also the Biscottificio Nonna Maria (Via Resistenza, 70) offers a wide selection of biscuits and desserts that have preserved the flavor of times gone by.
Typical are the 'sighs' (or sweet bride), sponge cake and custard and covered with naspro (freezes).
Pizzeria L'Angolo or from Willy for an authentic Paphoscia Slow Food Presidium (ask for advice and choose typical local ingredients)
