Fantastic cottage in the heart of French countryside!

Beautifully updated and lovingly maintained cottage for a perfect experience of rural France. Very close to two major towns (Pau and Bayonne) as well as multiple charming villages, it makes for an ideal location for exploring the foothills of Pyrénées. The owners, Shona and Ken, are very friendly and accommodating people, truly interested in the comfort of their guests. We strongly recommend the gîte, and hope to return there again soon.

Nice spacious gite near historic town and swimming river

The gite is spacious, well-eqipped and has comfortable beds and pillows (often not the case in gites)... Ken and Shona were very helpful and friendly, and gave us a number of useful tips on things to do and see in the area. The coast is around an hour away, as is canyoning in the Pyrenees. We found it a useful base to make excursions from, on the days we weren't hanging out at one of the many river swimming spots. Good value for money.

Quiet country retreat

This was the perfect getaway to both relax and explore the wine region of Bearn. Our hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful. They provided us with excellent recommendations for both touring and dining. The home is very comfortable and cozy and we could not have been more pleased. Thank you S and K for making us feel so welcome!
