Situado en su propio viñedo con vistas únicas sobre el valle para una completa privacidad!

Esta casa recientemente renovado tiene todo lo necesario para hacer un encaje perfecto de sus vacaciones, construido en tres plantas que consta de 10 habitaciones, 3 dobles, 2 reyes y 4 habitaciones dobles y 1 habitación para niños con una cuna y un sofá, todas las habitaciones tienen su propio baño. Hay una gran sala de estar con televisión, reproductor de DVD, televisión por satélite, sistema de música para CD y conexión USB y, por supuesto, wifi. Dos comedores, uno asientos 12 los otros 8. Gran cocina totalmente equipada, con cocina de 90 cm, lavavajillas, nevera-congelador, microondas, cafetera, tetera y tostadora. También hay un baño ubicado en la planta baja.

En el exterior, hay dos terrazas, en la terraza de la planta baja hay una pequeña área privada cubierta con una mesa y algunos bancos, afuera hay una zona de asientos para comer y una barbacoa, en la terraza debajo está la piscina con una gran área sombreada y el césped.

La propiedad está ubicada en un viñedo activo, produciendo una gran variedad de uvas, así como un excelente aceite de oliva y una gran variedad de frutas de temporada.

Maria do Rosario asiste de lunes a viernes durante 3 horas a partir de las 9, si necesita más asistencia fuera de este horario que está feliz de ayudar y puede ser pagado directamente, que es una excelente cocinera, y dispuestos a hacer la comida local, pero lo hace no lo hace ¡habla Inglés!

El condado de Vila Real es un grupo de 13 municipios, que conforma la región vinícola del Alto Duero y Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. El pueblo de Guiães se encuentra en el corazón de la región vitivinícola de Sabrosa. La población del pueblo es de 480, aunque en los meses de verano el número se duplica. El primer fin de semana de agosto es el
Los Santos populares festejan en el pueblo y es cuando salen todas las banderas y banderas. El pueblo data del 1200 con el primer charter de D. Sancho el día 8 de abril de 1202.

Hay muchas cosas emocionantes y relajado que se puede hacer a nivel local, a 10 minutos de distancia en coche es S. Leonardo de Galafura que tiene una de las más impresionantes vistas sobre el río Duero, una visita al Palacio de Mateus y los jardines se encuentra a 15 minutos y, por supuesto, un viaje en el río Duero saliendo desde Peso de Regua a Pinhao pasar por el enorme bloquear y luego regresar en tren que corre al lado del río.

Un séjour inoubliable dans un décor de rêve! La maison était bien au delà de nos espérances. Immense manoir d’une propreté et d’un cachet sans pareil. Accueil très sympathique par Daniela. L’accès est un peu effrayant la première fois mais on s’y fait rapidement. Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce lieu enchanteur. Un seul regret : n’être restés qu’une semaine!

Hidden Gem with Views to Die for !

We had a great time in this lovely place hidden away in Portugal. We were a mixed group of friends and family - ages from 5 to 85. The facilities were excellent and the views were absolutely amazing. The hosts and Maria were incredibly helpful - Brilliant!

Amazing views

Six of us stayed for ten days. Unfortunately other members of the family and friends couldn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances. So we had this very large and very impressive property to ourselves! The villa/farmhouse has the most amazing views looking across the valley and vineyards and was very quiet day and night. The rooms are all very comfortable and well furnished and the bathrooms clean and smart. There is no aircon and there are a few fans. The pool is lovely and very secluded. On arrival we got a warm welcome from the owner Filipe who went out of his way to help, even running two of us down to the supermarket in Vila Real. We did all our own cooking and found the kitchen a bit small so it might be difficult for a larger party. The only other issue we had was the rough track that leads to the property is really narrow and the walls were in poor condition with a partial collapse half way down! Not good and really needs attention. Overall though, we all really enjoyed our stay in this amazing property.

Prachtige locatie!

Wat een prachtig huis, een fantastisch uitzicht op de vallei en een mooie omgeving! Wij waren er een week met ons gezin (12 personen) om ons 50-jarig huwelijk te vieren. Iedereen was zeer verrast door de mooie plek. Het enige minpuntje was dat Maria niet voor ons bleek te kunnen koken, terwijl in de informatiemap beschreven stond wat zij allemaal zou kunnen maken.

A fantastic stay at this estate

We were a party of 18, there were enough room for us all! All 10 rooms have a separate bathroom, which is great! The pool area was magnificent, as was the view over the valley with wineyards! Too minor minuses that could be corrected: The first was the lack of air condition or at least fans for the four rooms on the bottom floor. It was awfully hot in the area most of the week and the owners had put fans in all other rooms. The second minor issue was the cooking facilities with stove and oven that was under dimensioned for cooking for the whole party of 18 as we did all nights. We got full information of what to do in the surroundings. A great week in a fantastic place!

Super séjour dans un environnement exceptionnel

Nous avons passé une semaine à 16 dans ce superbe gîte : 4 couples d'amis et 8 enfants. Emplacement exceptionnel dominant une vallée de vignobles en terrasses en bordure d'un petit village typique de ce secteur du Portugal. La maison est propre et spacieuse, tout comme les espaces extérieurs. La pelouse est impeccablement tondue. Les lits étaient faits et confortables. La maison est décorée avec goût dans un style ancien. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande salle de jeu avec la table de ping pong. La piscine de 10m de long et 1,50m de profondeur (au maximum) a fait le bonheur des enfants et des adolescents, mais aussi de leurs parents, tout au long de la semaine de canicule que nous avons passée sur place. Pour les courses, il y a un petit café supérette dans le village. On peut y acheter du pain et quelques produits de base. Sinon, prévoir 20 à 30 minutes pour trouver un supermarché. Au final, nous recommandons ce lieu à tous les groupes qui cherchent un endroit beau, paisible et bien entretenu pour y prendre le temps de vivre.

Wonderful!

A group of 18 of us, all in our early 30s, stayed at the vineyard for a full week, and we had a lovely time! The property is GORGEOUS, and we really enjoyed the pool. The last little bit of the drive in is a little treacherous, so I'd avoid bringing any larger cars, but it wasn't a problem for us. The people in town were so friendly and really eager to chat, and we did a lot of tastings at nearby wineries. The only issue we had is the heat and lack of AC, but we visited during a heat wave. It would be amazing to have electric fans in the individual bedrooms, but we managed by spending the hottest days in the pool. Big thank you to Maria for making us a delicious dinner and helping with laundry during our stay!!!

Excellent séjour familial dans la région du Douro

La maison est très vaste, les chambres grandes, chacune est équipée de douche / toilettes : nous étions quinze et avions tous de la place, aussi bien pour les repas pris à l’extérieur ou à l’intérieur. La piscine est un lieu très prisé, le paysage majestueux, le jardin bellement entretenu. Maria est une aide très utile et efficace ! Le séjour à Guiaes fut excellent à tous égards.

Amazing stay

The house is incredible: comfortable bedrooms, large and sunny living room. well-equipped kitchen and amazing views from the patio and swiming pool. Couldn't imagine a better stay.

Fabulous week at Quinta do Klein in Douro, Portugal

We spent a wonderful week at Quinta do Klein with our children, our cousin's family and some friends (15 people). The house is very good with lots of space (10 rooms with a bathroom each), with a nice decoration and extremely clean. It is also very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The farm is very nice with a wonderful view over Douro's vineyards which are something worth seeing and unlike anything I've seen before. The couple that watches over the farm is very nice and Maria do Rosário is very efficient and extremely helpful. She cooks very well and presented us with delicious soups made with vegetables from the farm, several different cakes and other delicatessen. We loved everything and are looking forward to going back one day! Thank you, Sheenah!

Amazing week in Douro

The pictures don’t do justice to the beautiful villa with stunning views of the valley and vineyards. Very spacious, tastefully decorated and very well equipped house. The grounds are excellent for hiking and exploring the beauty of the valley. We loved the pool area, it was great to relax and enjoy some sun. Maria is delightful, she comes in every day and keeps the house spotless, she is an amazing cook as well! Sheenah and Filipe gave us a warm welcome. Sheenah was invaluable in helping us to organize transportation for our group, assisting with retreat details and excursions. We had wonderful time and will definitely come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

Holiday home

Hi Sheena We had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful villa. Accommodation was excellent but we were very sad that two friends couldn’t make it. Maria was very helpful and we communicated by note, me translating from English to Portuguese . A few small issues. We would have liked to have Maria cooking for us more frequently but the problem was always that we had to go into town to buy the ingredients which we didn’t always want to. The mosquitos were troublesome and one of our friends was quite badly bitten. I didn’t have any problems myself but I was on the top floor si could have plenty of fresh air. Felipe was most helpful at all times, thank you. However I didn’t o ce see the manager, he never came to the villa except for a few minutes on the Saturday before I arrived so I never met him at all. I tried phoning and texting but got no response. It would have been better if he’d gone to check that all was well especially when one toilet wasn’t working and we had all those problems with the mosquitoes. Wonderful views and location and lots of places to visit nearby. Thank you Madeline

Tout était parfait sauf ....

Nous sommes restés une semaine avec plusieurs familles et des enfants. Tout était parfait, la localisation, la vue, la maison , l’espace, la piscine... Au milieu de notre séjour la maison a été envahie de petites puces volantes dont nous avons eu toutes les peines à nous débarrasser. Nous gardons donc de très bons souvenirs et de nombreuses piqûres de notre séjour. Le proprietaire n’a pas su expliquer ni trouver la solution à cette invasion et cela a donc un peu terni notre sejour

Amazing views and spacious house and property

We had an amazing week at Quinta do Klein, enjoying the amazing views and preparing our own meals in the modern kitchen or barbecuing outside. The pool was great for cooling down in the 35 C weather and the valley below the property provided great hiking trails. And with Pinhao just 40 minutes drive away, we were in the middle of port wine country. The only minus was that the top floor got a bit hot in the afternoon and that the final stretch of road down to the villa was pretty narrow and a bit difficult to drive with a long station wagon. But all in all, this is a great location to spend a week in the Douro.

Great Portuguesas villa

From the minute we arrived we were amazed at the views and surrounding area. The pictures don’t do justice to the actual house and surrounding landscape. Everything is provided for lots of space bedrooms are spacious. Maria the housekeeper was excellent and great company. We are there with 13 family members 3 of which were children under 3. Highly recommended for a family vacation

never to forget!

We were with our family, 14 persons, grandparents, children and grandchildren and had a marvelous week in the Vila Real. The house, kitchen, bedrooms, swimming pool and garden: all looked fine and well equipped. I made a lot of walks, others played in the ping-pong hall, swimmed or cycled around the hills. In the evening there was a big fire in the living room, made by Maria, so it was cosy there to play games together. In the day the views over the hills and vineyards were wonderful and last but not least: we were very lucky with the weather!!! (rain and cold in Holland, every day a warm sun in Portugal).

Rural Portugal, beautiful accommodation

The house itself is lovely - huge with lots of bedrooms, towels, bedding all provided. Maria comes to clean every day and provided a lovely welcome pack but does not speak any English. The village it is in is small and there is just one cafe with a small shop. There aren't any other shops for miles - Vila Real about 25 minutes away is the closest area for amenities. However Lisa in the local cafe is absolutely lovely. She arranged a wonderful birthday meal and couldn't have been more generous. We were very lucky to have had the meal there - she cooked incredible steak and pork for us. The house is a little isolated and you have to access it down quite a steep farm track, so if you want an easy walk into town, this isn't for you. However if you are with a big group and want a great house with stunning views then it is the perfect party house

Perfect family holiday

We loved the villa, set in its own grounds - apart from food shopping, we didn't need to go beyond the property given the pool, games room and terrace; on those occasions when we did venture into the village, everyone was very friendly. There's a lovely bakery (you can even place your order for the next day), and cafe central has a little shop in case you run out of essentials - so many people in the village speak a multitude of languages, too, so whatever you need, you'll be able to work it out. Maria (the housekeeper) is delightful, and gave us a very warm welcome; she drops in most days to keep the villa fresh - which makes the whole time even more comfortable, and also means there's much less rushing around when time comes to pack up - because Maria has kept on top of everything through the week. Such a lovely place.

Séjour exceptionnel en famille et entre amis

Nous sommes venus une semaine en mai à 5 couples et 9 enfants de 18 mois à 8 ans et avons passé des vacances formidables. La maison est immense (10 chambres), très joliment décorée et parfaitement équipée. Le domaine est en plein cœur des vignes dans un environnement très apaisant. Nous avons été accueillis par Sheenah et Filipe qui nous ont présenté la maison et le domaine dans le détail puis chouchoutés durant tout le séjour par Maria, gouvernante résidant dans la maison voisine, à qui nous avons demandé de nous préparer des repas à plusieurs reprises (excellentes recettes à base de morue, fruits de mer sans oublier les gâteaux en dessert !). Ces vacances dans le Douro resteront un très très beau souvenir pour les petits comme pour les grands !

Filipe and I are a team, he is an agronomist and I am an event manager, we have been married for 42 years, he is Portuguese and I am English, we live most of the year near Lisbon, but love the Douro, on average we visit the estate once or twice a month but leave Jõao our estate manager to assist, he is a wealth of knowledge and his son is a local GP.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The area is like a trip to nature, the property has been in the family for many years, we inherited it from our aunt and uncle, our aunts grandfather came to Portugal with Eiffel to build the Maria Pia Bridge in Oporto, he liked Porto so much he stayed and married, his son bought this farm and started producing Port wine, now days we do not make Port wine here but we do produce the grapes for it, along with grapes for red and white wine, which we do make on the farm alternatively.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The area where the farm is located is unique, apart from Sunday when the bells toll for mass you can take a step back in time as there is no noise pollution, you can see stars at night, take walks with bumping into other people and appreciate the beauty of the area which is still very traditional, you might even say rural. Once a year at the beginning of August is the village party which last for 3 days, with bands, folk dancing and lots of church processions.
