Unique oceanfront retreat with fantastic views of the wild natural space

The Mirador das Areas is a unique refuge, in a small rural center of stone houses, and has a privileged location, facing the sea, in the protected natural area of Razo Baldaio.

Walking down to the beach through the paths between the dunes, which are practically in front of the house, is a real pleasure.
It is a very quiet area, it really seems that you are in another era, but with the comforts of modern life, good mobile communication, WIFI… and incredible views of the sea from the whole house.

It has approximately 130 m2 in total, distributed over 3 floors. And an outdoor area, which is accessed from the living room, of about 25 or 30 m2 designed to eat and take a dip in the fresh air while enjoying panoramic views of the sea, the dune field and the beach. It is equipped with a table with chairs, a barbecue and a couple of small sun loungers and a plunge pool of approx. 3 m x 3.5 m and depth 1 m. The plunge pool has a security fence, which prevents access to children if parents do not want to. The plunge pool and the garden have beautiful panoramic views of the sea, the dune field and the beach. A few meters from the house, about 50 m, in the back, is the parking area and the garden, also equipped with table with chairs and sun loungers, equally beautiful views of all natural space and the coastal mountains.

On the ground floor is the kitchen-living room with fireplace in an open space and a small toilet.

On the upper floor there is a suite with a full bathroom with a shower cabin and a beautiful bathtub, and opens onto a gallery with the same views of the sea as from the ground floor (from the bed and shower you can see the sea !! )
The upper floor has another small room that is intended as a children's room or single room if it is for adults, which is part of a family suite that is located on the ground floor under cover. Also with full bathroom, this one with shower. This room also has the same spectacular sea views (tb from the bed and the shower you see the sea !!) and overlooks a terrace with fantastic views.

The whole structure of the house is made of reclaimed noble wood slabs and stone walls, we have given it a current air always respecting the natural identity of the house.

The Mirador das Areas is a very special house with all the comforts, it is a boutique house facing the sea, in a small village, next to Razo, in Cambre, about 500 m from the beach (really about 350 m or more are of dunes), in fact the beach is reached by a path between the dunes that is almost in front of the house.

A pearl in the country

Beautiful refurbished and high level decorated cottage with spectacular views from bedroom, kitchen and pool just a short walk away from a beautiful beach, but miles away from mainstream tourism. For those who are looking for it, it is definitely a place to be, also ideally with kids. Thanks to our host Roberto for the outstanding hospitality, the good restaurant suggestions and the filled fridge. So we could enjoy the holiday from the first minute.

An incredible stay!

This is an extraordinary place! We highly recommend it! The view from the house, over the carefully tended landscape, to the preserved dunes, and to the beach and ocean are glorious. The house has been ingeniously restored, with respect for its origins in every detail. Each floor is a surprise, and cleverly designed. Much of the furniture is beautifully handcrafted. We were given a wonderfully warm welcome, with a local pie, fruit, and more. Stay here! The area is rich in places to explore and dramatic coast paths to walk. Marion and family.

A Wonderful Break

Very clean beautifully appointed and designed property. Really lovely unspoilt beaches. About 1km to the village where there are a 3 or 4 cafes/eateries and a supermarket. Large supermarket 15 mins away. Lots of local foods and wine to try. We did day trips to Santiago, Fisterra and other beaches . Our teenage girls learned to surf which they loved and the whole place has a very happy feel to it - elderly and young people alike. The hosts live about 1 km away. They were very generous and helpful if we wanted to know anything. Would highly recommend.

A Seaside Jewel.

The property was a perfect country coastal experience. The historic charm and character of the restored stone house was more than we had hoped for. The details of the restoration were a perfect blend of modern convenience but preserved the feel of the history that makes Galicia so special. The location is perfect to explore Galicia. We were almost tempted to just stay around the house listening to the sea next to the wood burning stove and read a book. We were able to go to Lugo, Santiago de Compestelllo and other historic sites and get back in time to take in beautiful sunsets by the beach. The hosts were also amazing, making sure we were comfortable and providing useful information about the area. These guys have a a talent for creating a special place-would highly recommend it!!

Beautiful house in rural location near the sea

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Mirador las Areas. The lovely old stone house has been refurbished immaculately and tastefully and is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were incredibly generous with their welcome gifts of local delicacies, and could not have done more to ensure we had a great time - we are very grateful to them! The property is in a little hamlet with beautiful views of the sea. The walk to the beach takes about 20 minutes down a track (a bit longer on the way back as it's quite steep!) and our two dogs absolutely loved running down there to the sea. The walk into into the town takes a little longer (and again is steep on the way back) but there are several restaurants and bars there which we enjoyed visiting. Further afield we had some lovely days out in A Coruna and various ports and little towns along the coast. We would highly recommend this property as a lovely base for visiting the north west coast and countryside of Spain.

A real little gem of a place!

If you're looking for a cool place on the Costa da Morte with a view of the coast then look no further! The property may be small but it's impressive what the owners have managed to pack into this quiet, stylish retreat. My wife and I stayed with our dog and it was perfect for us for a few days to relax. The outside space may be limited but with such a beautiful coastline on the doorstep, it was perfect for use in the morning or evening once we spent the day exploring. Razo is only a short drive away but you can also walk there, through the dunes and along the beach. We didn't utilise the local surf school but it's clear that it is a popular spot for surfing but it never felt busy. Roberto was on hand to greet us when we arrived and as well as showing us around the property he took the time to recommend lots of local places to eat, drink and visit. The information that we were sent in advance of our arrival was really great too and packed full of ideas of places to visit which was really useful. There were also lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property, including some provisions such cold beers in the fridge (perfect after a long drive to get there!), local cheese, wine, water, milk, coffee, fruit etc which made us feel very welcome - thank you Eva and Roberto!

Casa con mucho encanto. Decorada y cuidada con mucho gusto. Eva, la propietaria, nos acogió con mucho cariño. Nevera llena de bebidas, leche, mermelada, pan, empanada gallega. Un lujazo!!!La casa tiene de todo: jabón para lavavajillas y para lavadora/secadora, azucar, sal, aceite, especias, papel de cocina, de horno, de aluminio...vamos, que no necesitas para nada ir a comprar. Nos ha hecho que la estancia sea de lo más cómoda!. Camas confortables, silencio y tranquilidad. Vistas a las dunas. Minipiscina que no pudimos utilizar debido a que el tiempo no acompañó.Resumiendo: la casa un "bombón". Reformada y cuidada al detalle. La recomendamos cien por cien.

Wir wurden von Roberto sehr herzlich empfangen und durch das mit viel Liebe zum Detail restaurierte Haus geführt. Es ist alles so, wie auf den Bildern und in der Beschreibung angegeben. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Urlaub in einem Ferienhaus braucht. Auch haben wir Tipps für Ausflüge in der Umgebung bekommen. Über die für uns bereitgestellten Lebensmittel haben wir uns sehr gefreut, so dass wir uns einen Einkauf am Anreisetag sparen konnten. Eva hat sich auch zwischendurch gemeldet und nach unserem Befinden gefragt. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit im Ferienhaus insbesondere auf dem Balkon und am kleinen Erfrischungsbecken mit jeweils Blick auf den Atlantik bei bestem Wetter einfach nur genossen.

Wunderschönes Haus mit traumhaftem Blick

Die Bilder im Inserat zeigen genau was einen erwartet. Das Haus ist sehr hübsch, liebevoll eingerichtet, die Lage mit Blick auf den Strand ist ebenfalls toll. In der Nähe sind ein paar Bars/Restaurants und ein Mini Supermarkt. Der Bäckereiwagen kommt immer morgens gegen 9 Uhr direkt an die Straße unterm Haus vorgefahren! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Den Stress der Stadt vergessen; Spanien mal ganz anders....

Eva und Roberto haben aus einer ehemaligen Ruine einen zauberhaften Ort gemacht. Die Bilder entsprechen der Realität (obwohl man zugeben muss, das der Fotograf den jeweils perfekten Winkel gefunden hat ;-) ) Wir konnten Spanien hier einmal von einer ganz anderen Seite kennenlernen. Eva hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen. Auch für den ersten Hunger waren bereits leckere Spezialitäten vor Ort. Incl. eines riesigen Obstkorbes, den wir in 12 Tagen Aufenthalt nicht bewältigen konnten. Dem doch für Juni/Juli recht kühlen Wetter geschuldet, war der kleine "Mini-Pool" für uns leider nicht nutzbar. Der Atlantik war auch ein paar Grad wärmer. Also haben wir lieber den "großen Pool" genutzt. Ein Auto ist für einen Aufenthalt im "Mirador das Areas" unerlässlich. Der nächste richtige Supermarkt ist 20 Minuten entfernt in Carballo. Wir fanden den Carrefour am besten, wo man vom Grillanzünder über Sonnenschirme bis zum Steak oder Milch, alles bekommen hat. Im Ort findet man nur einen kleinen Fahrrad-und Surfbrettverleih, der ein paar ausgesuchte Artikel und Lebensmittel für den Notfall bereit hält. Der Strand ist ein Traum und erstreckt sich über 6 km (fast) direkt vor dem Haus. Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten dort. Zu Fuß braucht man schon etwas Kondition. Vor allem, weil es zurück mächtig bergauf geht. Der Kontakt zu Eva war immer gegeben, wenn wir Sie gebraucht haben. Begrüßung und Verabschiedung waren Ihr eine Herzenssache. Wir haben unsere Zeit hier sehr genossen!

Un séjour magnifique!

Très belle maison en pierre, superbement rénovée, sur 3 étages, très propre, cuisine très bien équipée et très fonctionnelle. Les 2 chambres principales sont très bien, les lits très confortables avec chacune leur salle de bain. Vue exceptionnelle sur l’océan. Magnifique accueil d’Eva qui a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour parfait. Un tout grand merci pour son hospitalité, nous avons eu notamment des fruits, une délicieuse empanada, de l’eau, des minérales et des bières en guise de bienvenue. Seul bémol: s’agissant d’une maison en pierre entièrement retapée, l’isolation était sommaire entre les étages mais le charme du lieu l’emporte dans tous les cas.

Ein Traum zum Entspannen

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Super zum Erholen oder in Ruhe zu arbeiten (Internet auch für Videokonferenzen gut geeignet). Sehr nette Nachbarschaft. Bäckerwagen bringen jeden Morgen frisches Brot an die Tür. Sehr schöner Kütenwanderweg, klasse Surfstrand mit Kursangebot 15min zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Vermieterin Eva hat sich sehr nett um uns gekümmert und alles ganz hervorragend für uns arrangiert. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.
