Nice stay, neighbor to the resort.
It was an extremely nice home, however like other reviews there were a couple issues with the water, because this is a home for 8-10 people you’d expect everyone get a chance to get hot water, of course that wasn’t the case. Also, the room with the bunk beds was uncomfortably small, yes we all had a bed but no room to move around or even have our luggage in the room so we all felt congested in there. Not to mention the sheets didn’t seem washed as we found traces of dog hair all over. Besides those couple things it was a great place, we enjoyed it and our vacation there and the fact it was super close to the Keystone Resort and other little towns. Easy in and out access and wonderful view.
Great stay at Soda Springs
Our family enjoyed our stay at Soda Springs very much. The condo had everything we needed. The shuttle bus was very close. The beds were great. We used pool and hot tub which were fun. Restaurants and groceries were nearby. My granddaughter learned to ski! We would like to return next year.
This property had some issues with hot water and the heating. The decor was dated and the property is overall average.
Beautiful condo, great location and nicely remodeled. We would stay definitely stay here again!
Beautiful Condo/Skiing in 4 minutes
The condo was perfect for our group of seven adults. The furnishings were modern and cozy with a great fireplace (gas) and huge tv. Perhaps the best feature was how easy it was to get on the slopes. The corner of the parking lot is the last stop on the "Yellow Route" before you get to Keystone's "Mountain House" about 4 minutes away. Would love to come back.
Beautiful and convenient home away from home
This was our first visit to Keystone and we loved our town home in Soda Springs. The upstairs was updated and had beautiful finishes in the kitchen, dining, and living areas. It was nice to be able to seat 8 comfortably around the dinner table and have room for that many on the couch and rocking chairs in the living room as well. The upstairs was heated by a gas fireplace with a thermostat, so it would be going on and off automatically all day long. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes and cook wear. We ate almost all of our meals there. We did do a dinner sleigh ride one night, which we highly recommend. The downstairs had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and laundry. The two bedrooms with king size beds were very spacious and with their own TV. The third bedroom with the two bunk beds was a little crowded with hardly any floor space and no TV. We had two college kids stay in there, and they were OK as they were used to dorm living. Not sure the radiator in that room was working, but the heat from the other rooms helped warm up the bedroom some. There were humidifiers in all the closets that by the end of the stay became a necessity and was nice to have. My only complaint would be that the curtain next to the master bedroom bed let in too much light, not making the room dark enough, especially during the early morning hours. We used the free shutttle (yellow line) to get to the slopes. It was the last stop before the Mountain House East lifts (Argentine and Peru Express lifts), which made it a quick 5 minute ride to the lifts but a slow 20-30 minute ride back. There was a schedule and the bus was supposed to come every 20 minutes (16, 36, 56 minute of every hour from 8 am to 10 pm), but it was never on time and there was no way it was running as scheduled as we found ourselves waiting more than 30 minutes for the bus on more than one occasion, only to have standing room only due to the large crowd waiting at the stop. Also, the Argentine lift was only open one of the six days we were skiing, making the line at the Peru Express longer than necessary. There was parking available for $20 per day by the lift area, which was full by the late morning. All in all, the town home and skiing was five stars. The transportation was two stars, and the location was three stars. There were no restaurants or shops close by, and you would have to drive or take two connecting bus lines to get to River Run, where most of the "action" was.
Keystone boasts the largest mountain in Summit County offering 3,148 skiable acres, 20 lifts and two gondolas, all nestled at the foot of 2 unique villages!
We love all that Keystone has to offer - here are just a few of the reasons we choose to vacation in Keystone:
-Keystone is home to multiple AAA 4 Diamond, Wine Spectator and Zagat Survey-rated restaurants
-The new, 8-passenger gondola in River Run Village makes getting up the mountain quick and easy!
-The 10,000 square foot luxury spa, located in the Keystone Lodge
-The largest night skiing operation in Colorado
-The largest Zamboni -maintained outdoor skating rink (5 full acres) in North America
- Adventure Point - One of Colorado's best tubing spots is at the summit of Dercum Mountain at Adventure Point. With a good pitch and long run out, you're sure to enjoy the ride!
-Plenty of activities for the non-skier - there are too many to list, you name it we have it (hiking, snow shoeing, tubing, dog sledding, sleigh rides.....)
- Hundreds of acres of cat-ski access
-Incredible and safe Children's Ski and Ride School
-Brand new ice-skating rink in River Run Village
With three unbelievable mountains, tons of outdoor adventures, and dining all in two unique villages, it’s clear that Keystone is the best place to experience the best of the Rocky Mountains! Not to mention it's close proximity to I-70 makes it a quick trip from Denver!
