Amazing, peaceful vacation

  • 5 of 5

My wife and our two dogs recently spent 2 weeks at the cottage. We had a fantastic time! Nancy was very responsive throughout the entire process, including during our stay. The house was great, exactly as described. The yard was much bigger than we expected, and the dogs lived it up in it! The back deck was relaxing and served as our primary dining area, as the weather was perfect. I could live in the spa-like outdoor shower. We didn't shower once inside in 2 weeks. It had so much room to move and leave toiletries, and not get your towel and clothes soaked from shower.

We had my mother, sister-in-law and 2 toddlers come down for a few days. More than enough room for all of us. It was great to have a place for the kids to run around outside and not worry about traffic. My 4-year old niece deemed the twin bedroom, "her room" and she can't wait to return. She has already asked when are we going back? We fit a pack n play easily in that room. There is tons of closet space and plenty of space to lounge.

We grilled most of the time, and used the fire pit as well. We had plans to use kayak and SUP but we just got too comfy to be honest reading, doing puzzles and hanging after our beach days, but the location for all of that is fantastic!

My only issue, which really isn't a complaint or a deal breaker, as its my own fault for not paying closer attention, was the lack of a microwave. We worked through it (Like I did my entire childhood) but it did make warming up leftovers a bit more difficult, and put the Easy Mac away.

We were a little nervous staying there, as I have been coming for over 10 years and staying in Oak Bluffs, but the house was so warm, and the quiet was even better! So thank you Nancy!

Our Dream Honeymoon House

  • 5 of 5

For the past two years we've rented this cottage - celebrating our wedding and honeymoon here and we look forward to many trips to this special spot. Our favorite feature is the access to Sengekontack Pond. A quick walk down the street allows us to watch the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises over the water. The home provides access to a Paddleboard and the pond was the perfect place for a newbie like me to try out (and discover I loved!) the sport. The house is clean, uncluttered and has all the amentities needed for a cookout or a movie night in. The outdoor shower, the deck for grilling/eating and the fenced in yard for our dogs made it at great hangout spot for the nights we didn't head into town. The nights we did go into Edgartown - it was a quick drive (great location in that town is close but house is still located in a quiet neighborhood). Highly recommend this special spot (as do our 2 dogs :).

Perfect MV Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This home is our favorite rental by far! We have stayed several times and we hope to return again soon. As frequent island renters, we know there aren’t a lot like this!! The owners are wonderful and accommodating, and the home is perfect! We love how pet friendly it is. Other home owners don’t understand how hard it is, nearly IMPOSSIBBLE to find TRULY pet friendly accommodations without imposing frustrating limitations. Often you are limited by the size of your dog, or the number (only one small dog, for example.) We were able to bring our 3 adult, well behaved dogs on vacation with us, which is extremely important to us as they are a part of our family. The fenced in back yard is absolutely ideal for them, with sun and shade and safety, knowing they can be left to have fun while we are out, or they can rest comfortably in the huge kennel if need be. The location may be our favorite part. Not only is it on a secluded, quiet street with a few very nice neighbors, it is also so easy to get to everything, beaches, grocery store, restaurants, town (both Edgartown and OB). The best part is the proximity to the private beach at the bottom of the street! After a long day out at the beach, a nice stroll down the road with the pups for a swim, or some relaxing paddle board or kayak time is just the ticket! Our favorite activity is paddle boarding and kayaking out to the jumping bridge and back. So relaxing and yet a nice bit of exercise after all of the amazing island food! Beautiful views, extremely private and quiet and just steps from the house. This home has everything we need and more, and we love feeling so at home on vacation! Plenty of room for yard activities, plenty of parking in the driveway for multiple cars, and every comfort/amenity we could possibly need inside. Working with the owners is a pleasure and we can’t wait to be back next year! Thanks again for such a great time!
