Very well-kept and equipped house
This was one of the better-equipped and maintained houses we have rented. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking gear, well beyond what we needed for a short stay. The house is charmingly decorated - it feels like a real home rather than a generically-furnished rental. Given the so-so weather, we didn’t use the pool but did enjoy sitting in the yard a couple early evenings.
Location is central for the Luberon as well as the Southern Rhône wine towns. The house is on a fairly busy road but traffic noise did not bother. There are a lot of walking trails easily accessible.
I will note that although the listing said English was one of the languages spoken, this turned out to not be the case. We got by ok with phone translation when the caretaker showed us around, but it did make everything a little more difficult. Not a complaint, as we were the ones out of step with the language of the country, but as a comment for other French-challenged renters. I also might suggest that the house provide a page or two of written instructions as a leave-behind, as we particularly struggled with how to operate a couple of the older appliances (e.g. oven).
Overall, we were very pleased with the location, spaciousness and comfort of the house and would consider renting it again if we come back to the area.
