A102 is a lovely beach front condominium located just a few steps from the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. The lanai with wet bar opens up to a lush grassy lawn leading directly to the ocean. Guests can watch the whales and spectacular sunsets from the lanai, lawn and beach. Recent renovations of the bathrooms and kitchen provide guests with beautiful granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The open living area features tasteful island furnishings with a large mounted flat screen television. Just off the living room is the master bedroom which features a king size bed, television, and an attached full bath with separate tub and shower. The second bedroom is located near the entryway. It is equipped with two twin size beds, a mounted flat screen television as well and its own private bathroom with a large tub/shower combo. Both bedrooms also feature their own private lanais that each offer extensive ocean and mountain views. This non-smoking unit is located a few steps down on the ground floor (no elevators).

Convenient and centrally located on the resort. Ground level unit a plus-we stepped out through the back sliding doors to head to the beach daily without having to use the stairs. Think this is ideal if you have kids who can play outside while you remain indoors. Nicely remodeled kitchen. Well stocked unit especially the kitchen including cleaning supplies was very helpful. Appreciated well lit rooms (something many places lack). Very comfortable unit, easy to relax, having more than one tv was a plus. Definitely want to return.

Condo needs an upgrade

This is our second stay in this particular condo. Although the view is great, the condo is very dated. With the rate that is charged, I would think you could afford to upgrade the carpet, furnishings, décor, etc. The condo has an ant problem and our last night there, there was a HUGE cockroach crawling across the floor. Needs to be fumigated!!! The extra bedroom patio door was unlocked during most of our stay as we assumed all doors were locked when we arrived (which they were not). The shrubs around the patio off the living room and kitchen need to be cut back so the view can be seen better. The stove has a broken knob (which was also broken on our last visit in 2016). It would be nice if reusable bags were provided for groceries since the store charges you if you don't bring your own. A new cooler would be nice as well as once again, its the same one from 2 years ago and it was broken then too. I feel the condo is not maintained as well as it could be. We love Hawaii and will return, however, we will not be staying here as we were very disappointed in the condo this time. Mahalo.

Fantastic Views!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Mauna Lani Terrace A102. Great ocean views from the lanai and breathtaking sunsets every night. The property is very well kept and the management is very responsive to your needs. The sensors on the doors can be tricky and we had 2 nights without air conditioning, however, management did fix the problem - even on a weekend!!

There are plenty of beach toys in the condo for use at the beach. The washer/dryer are not full size so washing clothes can be challenging.

Somewhat disappointed in all of the rules we found with the use of the pool. We have a 7 year old daughter and felt very uncomfortable using the pool with signs everywhere telling us to be quiet. Hard for any family with children to enjoy a pool knowing the children have to be quiet??? FYI - there is only 1 grill that can be used at any time. The other grills need to be reserved so keep that in mind if you plan on eating in.

The Beach Club on the other hand is an awesome place for children and adults a like. Gary at the surf shack is awesome! He taught our daughter how to paddleboard.

I recommend the following restaurants: Tommy Bahama, Bamboo House and Patz Pies (south of Kona).

We would definitely stay at A102 again in the future.
