Beautifully furnished Townhouse with private garden in a quiet neighborhood near Golden Gate Park. At center of San Francisco and surrounded by excellent public transportation, a perfect retreat for relaxing between excursions to all the famous sites in and around the San Francisco area. And best of all, just around the corner, a fabulous grocery/deli with all a family could wish for only steps away.
We very much enjoyed our week in this home. The home is spacious and allowed us to celebrate with our family during this holiday season. The owner was responsive and flexible and we very much appreciated the on site help from Lindsay. We loved the market around the.corner and found a number of interesting nearly restaurants and shops. Great place for a family gathering.
Very comfy beds and spacious dining area and living room. Location is very accessible to transition and walking distance to shops and attractions. The street is very quiet. Neighbourhood is residential, not a lot of restaurants or bars in the immediate area.
Three couples shared this quaint, older home in San Franscisco for three nights. The owner was very accommodating, letting one couple drop off luggage earlier that day. The property was advertised as three bedrooms, but the two smaller bedrooms were actually one larger room divided by a bifold closet door, which didn't provide much privacy. Laundry was also advertised as on site, but was misleading due to the fact that it was located in the downstairs tenant's apartment. Laundry was only available per her schedule. Parking was a challenge; not being familiar ahead of time of the San Franscisco area, we did not realize parking was on street and very limited, due to space and city parking rules. Most evenings the car had to be parked up to five blocks away. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed the San Franscisco area.
The house was adorable on a very quiet street about 3 blocks from the University of San Francisco. Parking was a little difficult, but we were there for move-in weekend for Freshmen, so that was to be expected. Noni, the property owner, was very nice and responsive. Lindsey, the lady living just below the property was also very helpful! I texted her a couple of times and heard back very quickly. The little market around the corner had everything we needed, so that was a godsend. The house had plenty of clean towels and comfortable bedding. Overall, no complaints other than the property was a little run down and could use a little TLC.
House was comfortable, good location though a long bus ride to fisherman's warf, but close to Golden Gate Park.
Living room was comfortable, lots of seating at the dining room. Kitchen was small but quite functional.
The listing was accurate though the laundry situation was a bit difficult.
The owner communicated often and promptly.
Restaurants were close by as was public transportation.
Parking was difficult.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Noni's townhome in San Francisco - about a mile walk to the nearest Whole Foods and the Haight/Ashbury district! Easy lock box outside to leave keys for each other in case you can't all be home at the same time.
Cozy, super cute home, but could use some minor updates:
- Hot water never gets very hot for showers, etc. -- even for the very first person to shower.
- A few of the lights were out (light bulbs needing replaced perhaps?)
- One of the towel racks in the upstairs bathroom is not useable - it was sitting on the floor upon our arrival (looks like it was previously pulled out of wall) and needs to be completely reattached in a new place on the wall (appeared that the holes in the wall where it used to screw in no longer had threading so screws won't stay in wall to keep rack attached)
- Could use more light in the first bedroom to the left upstairs - the one with 2 single beds. There is only one lamp on the table in between the beds that does not provide much light at all.
Otherwise, plenty of TP, clean towels, the place warmed up fast if the heat needed to be on, it's cozy & great, quiet location! Easy to coordinate with house contact to arrange for a load of laundry to be done - and she handles the washing & drying for you, SO NICE! Instructions for clean-up are easy & clear. This is a very cute house that, with a few minor updates, would be out of this world!
Thanks for the stay, Noni!
Within walking distance to all the best attractions in Golden Gate Park and a wonderful gourmet grocery is just around the corner in our same block - both a real plus for families sightseeing in San Francisco.
