Guestbook comments from the owner

Words can't express how much fun we had together as a family. We had our 2 young children with us and we also brought our parents for 10 days. The house had plenty of room for the 8 of us which was very nice for a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed our early morning walks around the neighborhood, having coffee and looking at the stunning turquoise water. A short walk to the beach at Chenay Bay was great during the day for kayaking, snorkeling and paddle boarding. They also have great food and neat little bar that overlooks the beach :). Our favorite thing to do was at night cooking out on the grill and watching the beautiful sunset together as a family from the back patio overlooking the Caribbean Sea and gorgeous mountains in the background :). Prettiest sunset we all have ever seen!!!!! Best family vacation ever!

Fantastic Spring Break Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, with our daughter and her friend, stayed in this lovely home over their Spring Break in March. The house was large, clean, and a fantastic home base for our stay as we explored the island. St. Croix has so many incredible beaches, but our favorite was just a minute walk from the house. There is a path that leads down to Chenay Bay, which is a wonderful place to hang out. We rented a SUP and just relaxed. The house is also situated super close to many great restaurants and a little grocery store, which was very convenient. I would come back in a heartbeat! It was just such a comfortable, relaxing home, and Kevin was so helpful and responsive to any questions we had. If you are thinking of visiting St. Croix, I would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful house with amazing views!!

  • 5 of 5

we had a blast staying here at this house! It was a beautiful, spacious property with absolutely breath taking views!! it was only a short walk to at least 3 beaches! And only a short drive to many attractions!! The pool and the deck is where we spent most of our time! I would recommend this house to anyone!! The owner got back to us immediately with any questions we had. We met one of the neighbors that were very friendly and ended up hanging out with us a couple nights! They gave us a lot of good information about the island:) great people!!! This was our first time to St. Croix, and we fell in love!! The only bad thing I can come up with is we had to leave!!! Thank you again for an amazing stay!!

GREAT ISLAND, WONDERFUL LOCATION

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 4 couples staying in this home for a week. Our favorite parts were the open living, dining area. During the day we loved to open the front door and all the doors to the pool area which created a create breeze and no need for airconditioning except for our bedrooms at night. The house is surrounded by great beaches. Cheney Bay resort and as we did a morning walk we located another beach that was named turtle beach. It was like your own priviate oasis. The kitchen was big enough for all of us to help prepare meals and had everything we needed. Grocery stores and restaurants were a short drive along with Christiansted, where we enjoyed the boardwalk. The island itself was very adventurous. Can't wait to return.

Wonderful spot

  • 5 of 5

I called up eight friends, some new and some old, and told them about this house I saw on VRBO in St. Croix. We live in Puerto Rico, and flights to St. Croix are super cheap. The nine of us arrived to the house to find vaulted 30 foot ceilings in a massive living room that opens up onto a huge terrace with an infinity pool and views of the Caribbean on three sides. The place is straight out of Conde Nast.

Points:

The house has air conditioning (central as well as inverters in the bedrooms), but it is built in such a way that A/C is totally unnecessary. We stayed in late July and had to close the doors at night because it got a little chilly. Pro tip: Don't just open the French doors to the pool; make sure you also leave the front door open. The cross-ventilation is fantastic. Also make sure that if you do use the inverters in the bedrooms, you check to make sure you turn them off when you leave. Inverters turn off automatically when the ambient temperature is at or below the set temperature, so you may not realize that it's "on" unless you look at the remote control. You should not be using A/C at night though--it can actually get pretty chilly from the wind and the house's privileged location.

The bathrooms are huge with Jacuzzi tubs in a few of them. A note of caution: Be careful with the bathroom doors--they do not have bathroom-door locks (which can only be locked while twisting the handle from the inside, and which automatically unlock upon being opened); they have standard locks, which means you need to make sure you unlock the door when you leave the bathroom, otherwise you'll lock yourself out.

The house is a five minute drive from the marina where sailboats leave for Buck Island. Go snorkeling there. Not negotiable.

There's a little trail next to the house that leads you down to the beach at Chenay Bay Beach Resort. It's a great alternative place to watch the sunset (though you can see the sunset from the house too).

Kevin was really responsive. Any question I had he answered within five minutes of me texting him. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Spacious, clean, great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a girls trip for a week, and the house was incredible. We wanted a property that was walking distance to a beach and had a pool so we could all do what we wanted without having to all agree how to spend each day. Cheney Bay is a short path away, and a couple of us would walk over and use that beach for hours a day - very easy walk back to the house to grab lunch and return. Cheney Bay was undergoing some renovations when we were there, so they weren't serving food or drinks at the beach bar, but it also meant no one cared that we used their chairs and umbrellas for the day. The house pool was fantastic (not sure what was up with the infinity portion that needs to be cleaned, but we just didn't look at that so it didn't effect us after the first sighting), and the view from the back patio and pool of the water was incredible. The house itself had a huge main living area and the kitchen was very nice - we didn't feel like we were on top of each other at all. There were two bedrooms on each side of the house, and that was also nice to feel spread out. The beds were very comfortable and the en suite bathrooms were spacious. Our only issue all week was the water pressure was incredibly low/barely a drizzle in our showers for the entire stay, even when we took showers at separate times...also, not much hot water. We really didn't care too much since everything else about the house was so great, but just a heads-up if this is important to you. The location of the property was also great- we drove into Christiansted for dinner a couple of nights and it was a very short drive. The property is in a little subdivison and the nearest grocery store is a few minutes drive away, so I'd recommend renting a car. We found the owner very, very responsive and easy to deal with - he had good suggestions for where to eat around the island and always wrote back within minutes when we had a couple of questions. I would 100% stay here again.

Amazing island surpassed only by the beautiful home and wonderful owner. And sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

This home sits steps away from the Cheney Bay resort and the ocean. It's proximity to grocery, restaurants and several other resort/beach options makes it the perfect location. Thank you Kevin, for all the helpful info and advice that made our vacation and stay perfect! The spacious home itself is pure class; from the kitchen to the furnishings, infinity pool and amenities. The sunsets each evening from the patio while kids swam were a slice of heaven!
