This exceptional apartment where the decoration & equipment have been brought to the highest level benefits from an ideal position at foot of slopes (passage du retour skieurs- skiers return passage 2 behind the chalet).
The interior has been entirely renovated w/ antique panelling, coffered ceilings, curtains, Arpin cushions & blankets, sofas & buffalo armchairs from Duvivier, etc..
Its large living room w/ chimney inserted, TV & large screen LCD & satellite connection, DVD player-recorder, high speed internet access, etc. will be much appreciated.
All the bedrooms have been personalised w/ different touches & all have private bathrooms & wcs, flat screen TVs and office corners or real offices.
After a good day of skiing, you’ll also have the choice between the professional spa, the large sauna, mosaic hammam or even the games room, all only accessible to you.

Nearly great

Kitchen is tiny, difficult for 12. Walls are thin. Facilities are generally good, small niggles like "toilet paper provided," more like half a roll in each and provide the rest yourself.

The accommodation worked well for our two families - ski out easy and ski in possible for good skiers. Regular bus however made it easy to get back with bars/restuarants only 10/15 mins walk. We had a couple of problems ie electrical fault that Jean Luc sorted for us. The Hot tub was not working for our stay which was a pain so I am hoping we may get a rebate. fingers crossed!!

House was great but host was a nightmare

We loved the house; it was big enough for our group and the hot tub and sauna were fun! However, Jean-Luc was a nightmare. He had no respect for our time or our privacy. I've never experienced anything like it. For example, upon check-in he made us miss our dinner reservation because he insisted on spending almost 2 hours walking us through various house rules, even though we told him repeatedly that we had to leave. Real examples of house rules he detailed include: the sauna temperature can't go past 5/7, the fireplace is only to be used for wedding anniversaries, the wool table covers in the living room must be removed when using the living room. Then, he showed up twice daily for various reasons. This wouldn't have been too bad but each time he just walked right into the chalet and around the house without our permission. Real examples of his reasons to come in included: the oven light needed replacing (we said we didn't care), he wanted to show a couple the house, he wanted to give us extra laundry soap, he saw that the lights were on and wanted to make sure we were home. These intrusions again made us late for our dinner reservation on the second day and a ski lesson on the third day because he wouldn't leave. Thankfully, we eventually asked VRBO to intervene by telling him that the host policy states that he can't bother guests like this and he stopped. Thanks so much to Kyle from customer service who listened to our issue and solved it!

You could hardly have a better location in Val. Easy ski out, but trickier ski in down the Santon slope which can be tricky or closed in the afternoons (although easy enough to take the free bus up the hill).Some aspects of the apartment need improvement, but we had a great week and feel that we would stay here again. The listing is a little vague, but what you have is a four double-bedroom apartment with extra sleeping in the form of two drop down wall-mounted bunks in one of the doubles, plus a connected double bunk room, then there is the basement games room with a pull-out double sofa bed (but no en suite facilities).The extras - steam room, sauna and hot tub - are excellent. The kitchen is functional, but could benefit from an equipment update. Owner, Jean-Luc, was helpful and accommodating to our requests for slight changes in arrival and departure times.

Très bel appartement avec tout le confort : jacuzzi et sauna particulièrement apprécié après une journée de ski. Parfaitement situé pour rejoindre / revenir du domaine skiable skis aux pieds. My friends and I enjoyed our stay very much. Apartment has lots of amenities including terrace with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Bedrooms are very comfortable. Central ski in and ski out location. Jean Luc did everything to make our stay comfortable.

"Appartement absolument exceptionnel en tous points: Localisation (au pied des pistes!) Ensoleillement : terrasse sous le soleil toute la journée, top pour baignade dans le jacuzzi sur la terrasse Equipement : tout le nécessaire et même plus (mention spéciale pour la cuisine ultra fonctionnelle et tb équipée) et enfin cerise sur le gâteau : la déco (Arpin) et les peignoirs + chaussons pour nous tous... Mmmm un vrai luxe! Je tiens à remercier le propriétaire qui était joignable à toute heure et qui n''hésitait pas à nous rappeler le code du local à ski et chaussures lorsque nous l''oublions ;-) Bref, c''est un appartement qui offre la possibilité d''y être nombreux (nous étions 4 couples avec 5 enfants en bas âge) tout en ayant son intimité et le plaisir d''apprécier un sauna et hammam en rentrant du ski! Nous revenons l''année prochaine! "
