About Mike Guetschow
We came out to Park City to ski 30 years ago and never left. The way into town then was a bad 2 lane road and there was only 1 stop light. You only needed to arrive 10 minutes before a Sundance movie to get a ticket! But the greatness that is Park City now was readily apparent, and we have loved living here in the mountains. Though the town has grown and matured, the sense of community here is still amazing.
Mike Guetschow purchased this House in 1992
Why Mike Guetschow chose Old Town
This property was our home for over 12 years. I met my wife, who worked for Park City, while doing a remodel on the house, and we started our family here. So our attachment to the house runs deep. It is beautiful and unique, and we hope that when you stay here you will also know that special feeling of staying in a home that is truly extraordinary.
What makes this House unique
After living in the home 8 years, and planning the remodel for two, we embarked on preparing the house for its second 100 years. First built with 5 beds and 1 bath, it had a way to go. We found a picture of the original owner with his family from 1903 in front of the home. The exterior had been altered quite a bit from that time, and we resolved to bring it back to its original glory. From the street, the home now looks exactly like it did at the turn of the 20th century when it was known as The Raddon Mansion at the peak of Park City's silver mining boom. Inside, however, was a different story. We completely rebuilt the kitchen and living room on the 2nd floor to take advantage of the natural light and mountain views, and created 4 bedrooms with 4 baths to fit with the homes 2nd century as a premier ski destination home. While wandering on Main Street during your visit, be sure to check out the large plaque dedicated to the original owner, Sam Raddon. It is located 1/2 block up from the Post Office, at the original location of his Park Record building. It was one of the many buildings lost in the Great Fire of 1898, but within 3 years Sam had rebuilt his newspaper, and also built this amazing home.

Great house and great location
Had a great time with no significant problems at the house. Only minor item was could use some shower and pots/pans soap .
Jeff, good news that you enjoyed the time in the house. We have a full ski season of supplies on site. I have passed your note on to our cleaning crew. They are a great team, sorry that we missed those things for your visit. Mike
Mike was super responsive and the property is in a great location. Thanks!
Terrific house in the perfect location
We absolutely loved all that this house offered. We had 9 people in the house and it was more than enough room! Everything felt very cozy and comfortable, including the outdoor hot tub that we made use of everyday! The host thought of every detail to make our stay wonderful. We stayed in the master bedroom and the bed was literally the most comfortable bed we've slept in and the heated bathroom floor was such a nice touch to the snowy weather. We can't wait to visit and make use of this home again!
This is a great house for a large group and in a great spot in town!
The house is centrally located in Park City.
The house is centrally located to restaurants, the downtown area and ski lifts. We walked almost everywhere. Mike was very accommodating to our needs by setting up the bedrooms as we needed them. Almost every amenity in the kitchen was available including a KitchenAid mixer so we could make homemade cookies. We also appreciated the fact that every bedroom has its own bathroom.
Such a great property and awesome trip!! I highly recommend and would stay again!
