Smartly designed and decorated, Veuve Noire is the perfect getaway on Praslin where you will find yourself surrounded by lush tropical forests and granitic rocks.

The open common area cleverly integrates the kitchen, dining and living rooms and deck area. The kitchen is the center of the house and it is a foodie’s dream as one can cook with sea view. And it is also suitable for cooking classes if any guests are interested in learning authentic creole cuisine.

The private outside shower areas are also a highlight and the guests can shower alfresco looking at the stars and nature.

The concept is completely unique and very different from anything on Praslin.

Fabulous treetop escape

We loved our 5-day stay here. The outdoor living was wonderful, including plunge pool, and the bedrooms and bathrooms chic rustic luxury. They really should call these Treetop Huts instead of Beach Huts, the nearest beach is a 10 min walk. This side of the island is quiet and away from the touristy bustle, which we prefer but others may not. Highly recommend if it’s your thing!

Hübsches Häuschen mit kleinem, aber wertvollem Pool. Einrichtung Küche sehr einfach. Hat aber alles was man braucht. Auto erforderlich.

Tolles Baumhaus

Das Haus ist genau wie auf den Bildern. Marie hat sich ganz wunderbar um uns gekümmert und uns mit Obst aus dem Garten versorgt. Der Strand beim Haus ist optimal um einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang zu genießen.

Ferienfeeling pur

Die super Lage mit Baumhausfeeling, eingebettet in einen wunderschönen Garten und toller Architektur wurde noch mit unserer Gastgeberin Marie getoppt. Wir wurden so toll verwöhnt mit ihrer creolischen Küche und spontanem Bananen- oder Cocoscake im Kühlschrank. Der Geschirrspüler war immer schon ausgeräumt und die Sauberkeit top. Die Tour mit Marie auf den mont glacier machte unseren Aufenthalt in Praslin unvergesslich und wir danken auch Aretha für die tolle (Covid)-Beratung im Vorfeld. Ein absolut empfehlenswerter Ort für Alle, die ein Auto haben und gerne die Insel erkunden möchten.

Amazing place

What a great stay at Praslin! Thank you for hospitality and kindness. The place is gorgeous, looks just like the pictures. The rooms are spacious and clean, the outdoor showers are very nice touch to feel right in the middle of the jungle. Marie was so nice and welcoming, made us a dessert the last night. Thank you, Marie! Wish we had more time at this wonderful villa!

Eigentlich super...

aber es gab zwei grosse Wermutstropfen für uns: das Self-checking am Sonntag war etwas mühsam, da es mehrere Huts gibt. Wenn man sein Hut dann gefunden hat, wird alles nötige in einem Brief beschrieben und am Montag kam dann auch noch die Property Managerin vorbei, um alles genau zu erklären. Der zweite Punkt, der bei uns "nur" zu einem Gut als Bewertung geführt hat, war der Pool, der nicht sehr gepflegt war. Scheinbar gab es Kommunikationsprobleme mit dem Pool-Reiniger... Wir waren auch wirklich froh, dass wir ein Auto gemietet haben, da es in Gehdistanz keine Läden gibt.

Stilvolle saubere Unterkunft

Unterkunft ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Ruhig gelegen mit sehr schönem Ausblick. Pool ist immer sauber und riecht nicht nach Chlor. Schöne Betten mit weichen Matratzen. Jeden Tag wird das Apartment gereinigt. Keine Mückenplage. Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft!

Relaxing stay, top spot, welcoming host.

We had a fantastic time at this tastefully decorated villa. We loved the outdoor cooking area and pool which was well set up, had a nice outlook and caught the breeze. The aircon in the bedroom was welcome for sleeping. Beautifully maintained garden with lots of birds were a plus. We love snorkeling and were pleased with the bay across the road, was safe and interesting with sea grass and a range of fish. We ate twice with the property and the food was delicious and good value. Catherina the warm and lovely host made us feel so welcome, had good local knowledge and was very helpful with all our needs.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt. wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und Christina die Angestellte war sehr, sehr nett. Unweit liegt eines der besten Restaurants von Praslin das Les Rochers, welches super Essen der gehobenen Preisklasse bietet. Einziger Nachteil der Unterkunft, die engen Straßen dorthin. Das Herz ist mir das eine oder andere Mal in die Hose gerutscht...

Magnifique séjour !

Nous avons passé 10 nuits à " la Veuve Noire" du 28 février au 10 mars 2018. Ce fût un séjour magnifique. Cette petite villa perchée sur les hauteurs de Saint Sauveur mais à 100 mètres de belles petites criques est idéalement située le long de la route de Consolation. Cette côte est pour nous la plus sauvage et la plus belle représentant magnifiquement bien les Seychelles. La villa est très agréable, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et très ouverte sur l'extérieur. Brigitte en charge de la gestion des maisons et du ménage quotidien est d'une très grande gentillesse et serviabilité. Elle nous a préparé des très bons plats Seychellois et nous a donné toutes les informations nécessaires à notre séjour. Nous remercions Aretha et Jonathan que nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer, pour cet excellent séjour. C'est une excellente adresse qu'il faudrait garder .... secrète !
