Wonderful property with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation-wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.
This property was very nice and clean. It had everything needed for a great stay. Shane was great with communicating and helped us with anything we needed.
My family of 5 enjoyed this property so much! It had plenty of room for us all, and it was clean and stocked. The pool and hot tub were awesome. The host was very helpful and kind . We will definitely use this house again if visiting Asheville in the future.
We had a fantastic short stay at this VRBO in Asheville, NC. Check-in was smooth, the place was clean, and the hot tub was a delightful bonus. Highly recommend!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and comfortable, and the pool was wonderful! Shane was a courteous and responsive host. It is very convenient to downtown Asheville and surrounds. We hope to return!
This was our second stay at the house. It was once again clean and comfortable, and the pool was a huge bonus in the heat wave! Very close to restaurants and shopping, and convenient for visiting downtown Asheville. Thanks again, Shane!
Affordable, clean, and fun vacation staying here. It was great for a family with kids and it’s close to many things Asheville. Shane is really specific about what’s provided so pay attention and you’ll know what extras to bring. We’d rent this place again!
We enjoyed our stay. The little things that were not as we expected or dissapointing were personal opinions and do not reflect the listing or owner. Shane was great to work with.

Luke it would be really nice for you to reach out and explain this post. It’s vague, damning and complementary all rolled into one. The way in which your experience is explained can be misconstrued. We strive to create and maintain the best experience possible for our guests.

The property was as described. We enjoyed the hot tub quite a lot. It is slightly outside center city Asheville, but convenient to the highway which provided easy access to all the places we visited.
This was a great, clean property so close to downtown Asheville. The owners had wonderful communication and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. My fiancé and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Asheville with our friends. Will plan to book them next year for our trip
The pool was nice to come back to at the end of the day. Had some issues upon arrival but Shane replied to our messages promptly

Just to clarify our home is not a bed and breakfast and we do not stay in the home while you are present. The tenants comment make it seem as if I (Shane Hicks) were present during their stay. I was in Asheville for the day and purchased some nice reclining chairs for around the pool. I called and asked the tenants if it was ok to bring them by. They said yes and I was able to meet the party.

The house itself is very well maintained and very comfortable. I was very pleased with it. The only downside is that the neighborhood is not the best.

I spoke with Martha in regards to her leaving 1 Star. She mentioned that it wasn’t intentional and that she would be contacting Vrbo to change it.
Yes the neighborhood is older. There’s nothing I can do about that. However, I can assure you that the neighborhood is safe and is in a fabulous location to explore all that Asheville and Western NC have to offer.
This was a great location near Asheville and 40 minutes away from Cataloochee Ski Resort. The home seems older but it was a good space for our family with young kids to spread out in during our weekend vacation. The hot tub was a hit! Owner was responsive with communication and when he could not resolve something, the house manager came by the next morning to assist and resolve the issues.
The jacuzzi was invigorating, new with strong jets, lights & Bluetooth; but with the exorbitant depo$it we were surprised to find such a modest house. We had a pleasant stay, but the final morning was totally devoted to cleaning and chores despite a cleaning fee.

Glad you enjoyed the hot tub at least. I should’ve known by our correspondence that this would be your review. The deposit is what it is because that’s what we require for OUR home. We lived in our “modest” home for 16 years, and we enjoyed every second of it. The description of the property is crystal clear as are the fees and the departure requirements are minimal. If you were looking for a Ritz Carlton perhaps there’s another website for you.

DIRECTIONS TO DOWNTOWN, THE BILTMORE ESTATE AND BILTMORE VILLAGE
Visiting specifically Downtown can be accomplish by 2 similar routes:
1) Smokey Park Hwy/Patton Ave is virtually a straight shot right into downtown. Travel time 10 to 15 minutes. 2) I-40E to 240E to Patton Av. This route is slightly longer than the route above, although a higher rate of speed can be obtained. This route should never take more than 15 to 20 minutes.
The Biltmore Estate 11.5 miles (24 min)/ Biltmore Village 8.4 miles (13min)
1) Google will probably take you down I-40 to Hendersonville Rd. This route can vary by 10 minutes. 13-20 minutes directly into Biltmore Village from our property. 2) Visiting The Biltmore Estate can be time consuming depending on the volume the Estate is receiving throughout the year. Again, arriving into Biltmore Village is 13 to 20 min, although getting from the front gate of The Biltmore Estate to the front of The Biltmore House can vary a great deal. I worked at The Biltmore Estate for six years. Some days getting to the front door of the Biltmore House from the front gate took 15 minutes and other days it took 35+ minutes. So from our property to the actual Biltmore House could take anywhere from 24 minutes to 60minutes depending on the season. 3) I-40E to 240E to Amboy Rd to (RTurn) on Meadow Rd to (RTurn) on Biltmore Av. Biltmore Village and the entrance to the Estate are just down on the right not even a quarter of a mile. This is the most direct route to Biltmore Village and The Biltmore Estate. 15 -20 minutes.
Keep in mind Asheville is a tourist town. There is traffic during various times of the day. If you are traveling downtown during rush hour (morning or night) add perhaps 12 to 18 minutes.
