Perched above the River Lot in the Midi-Pyrenees, this delightful gîte, converted in 2006, is the ideal place to explore the beautiful scenery of the Lot, Aveyron and Cele valleys. The property has its own private garden and a secluded wild woodland area with plenty of places to sit and relax. The bustling small town of Cajarc, with its Saturday afternoon market, shops, cafes and restaurants is only 3 km away.
The main door of the gite opens into a large farmhouse style kitchen diner with a range cooker and there is a separate sitting room with TV, DVD player and Wifi.
An open tread staircase leads to a landing which gives access to the large main bedroom with king size bed and a gallery bedroom with two single beds. The washroom has a toilet, walk-in shower, basin and bidet.
Outside, at the rear is a spacious deck with table and chairs; a garden with sun loungers and a steep path that leads to the small private woods with secluded seating areas and views of the River Lot. A charcoal barbecue is available. There is parking space for two cars on the upper level. There is also a deck on the upper level with views over the Lot valley. Because of the open tread staircase and several unfenced drops on the property, Le Coustal is not suitable for toddlers.
Cajarc is on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela and there are picturesque and historic mediaeval towns within easy reach such as Cahors, St Cirq la Popie, Figeac and Villefranche de Rouergue. A little further away is the breathtaking cave complex of Gouffre de Padirac and the spectacular clifftop town of Rocamadour.
