New to the rental market, beautiful ground floor unit with a lanai you'll love.

Without a doubt this is one of the best locations in Hale Kamaole. This condo is new to the rental market and has undergone a remodel that will leave you wishing you could stay forever. The ground floor, walk out unit in the highly desirable building 5, is steps behind the upper pool and BBQ, but secluded enough for privacy with an ocean view from the relaxing lanai. The condo faces the ocean for whale watching and sunset views. Watch the great video to see the complex. The video begins 30 steps off our lanai.

The extensive renovation features white washed ash flooring, new custom cabinets in the kitchen and bath, solid surface stone counter tops and new solid bamboo furnishings throughout. The master bedroom includes a king size bed, large closet, flat screen TV, and an air conditioner for comfortable sleeping; although we enjoy the ceiling fan and trade winds. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. The bathroom remodel includes a tile and stone walk in shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including a built in wine cooler in the end of the counter and new, high end appliances. The living room has beautiful leather recliners, a comfy over-sized couch, flat screen TV, stereo and ceiling fan, but you may never come in from the lanai to enjoy them. The fabric and wicker swivel chairs with ottoman, matching loveseat, tables and candles on the covered lanai will be your own place to relax in comfort. The free high speed internet (wifi) will keep you connected, if you want or just experience a stress free vacation on our beautifully landscaped grounds and the beach just a few minutes walk away. Every evening the outdoor BBQ area is a great place to socialize. You don't want to miss watching the Hale Kamaole conch shell band perform their nightly sunset ritual down by the office during high season (Dec - April).

There are many great restaurants and shops within walking distance from Hale Kamaole or you can drive a few minutes and you will find golf courses, food, beaches and lots of shopping. Kamaole 3 Beach park across the street has large grassy park areas, life guard station, and a fun and safe sandy beach that is great for kids and adults alike. If the surf is up, there is good boogie boarding and if not, the snorkeling is great.

Our complex features 2 pools, a covered pavilion at the lower pool, onsite office, activity concierge desk to help you find and book fun adventures, 2 charcoal BBQ centers with 4 stations each, 4 gas BBQ's, enclosed tennis court and lots of landscaped grounds.

The complex is very family friendly and has lots of open areas for kids to have fun and play. Our unit is limited to a maximum of 2 people.

The trade winds provide a cross breeze that keeps the unit comfortable most days. There are ceiling and floor fans in the living room, kitchen, bedroom and outside lanai. The bedroom also has an air conditioner to make sleeping more comfortable. It will not cool the entire condo.

We have been coming to Hale Kamaole for over 20 years from our home in Oregon. Our family has considered this our second home and our children have loved "growing up" here.

Why Galen & Sheri Siddall chose Kihei

Every year we talk about buying our own unit and look at units for sale, but this year we came across this beautiful remodel in a great location and decided we were ready to have our own place to really call our second home.

What makes this condo unique

Over the years of staying here we have come to know the Hale Kamaole property really well and have gotten "picky" about where we stay. Unit 146 is uniquely situated with a straight on ocean view, in two story building 5 with little traffic noise or noise from other buildings close by. The front entry is down a walkway that is away from most foot traffic. The trade winds keep the unit cool and comfortable.

And last, can you please pass on to the Owner of #146 our sincere appreciation for letting us stay in what can only be called a superior place.

We have been to Maui/Kihei over 15 times and this was the best place – period.

It is just too darn bad that we cannot book this place again for next year- but that is OK this was special.

Clean, comfortable and convenient, a great place to stay!

This was an excellent home away from home. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained. It was a short walk to the beach, the pool was close and the parking was easy. When you opened the front and back doors the breeze blew through cooling it off nicely. Everything we needed for the beach was supplied by the owners including many beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler. The kitchen had a full set of pots, pans, sharp knives, dishes and glasses (both glass and plastic). The stacked washer and drier worked well. There was wifi in the condo and a tv with cable. The lanai has comfortable furniture and is covered. Next time we are going to Maui we will try to get this place again.

Beautiful place, great location, awesome owners!

We stayed here for 6 nights in April. It is nicely redone with a modern feel! The lanai is gorgeous and we would have loved to watch the sunset from it every night. Great amenities included with the place both for the kitchen and beach. The owners are very friendly and even when I broke a wine glass accidentally, were very kind about it! The only thing that I would change if I could was to be able fully close the bedroom window. I wasn't able to figure it out while we were there, and as they are glass slats, I didn't want to break anything. It was nice to wake up to the sounds of the birds chirping but not the rooster crowing at 6:45 am. We hope we get to stay here the next time we come to Kihei which I hope will be soon!

Owner's Response: Hi Micaela, Glad you had a great time and thank you for the good review. I was able to fix the window and mitigate the birds sounds. One of the glass slats had slipped out of its retaining clip. We plan to replace the window when we return in October. FYI, we also installed a new sliding screen door, and scheduled to have the A/C unit in the master bedroom replaced end of April. It's only 4 years old, but things don't last long in the salt air. Look forward to seeing you again soon. - Galen

Comfy Kihei condo

My wife and I recently stayed at Hale Kamaole for a scuba diving vacation, and it was perfect for our needs. This is a nice little unit in Kihei, within easy walking distance of the boat ramp where dive boats leave for Molokini and south Maui. This is actually a big deal, because the dive boats get going at 0630. Commuting in from further afield will really cut into your beauty sleep. The kitchen is decently equipped, and grocery stores are within easy driving distance. The unit has been tastefully updated, and the condo complex is well maintained. This is an easy 5 star review for us because of its convenience and comfort.

This was a great place to stay; a new fit-out with everything we needed on hand. Walking distance to the markets and the beach just across the road. A shame the nearby pool was being repaired as it would have been only yards from the lounge to the pool! Owners were very good to deal with.

The sun is setting on another perfect day here in Maui. We've only been here for two days and we're already wishing we could extend our vacation another couple weeks! The condo is absolutely perfect, from the king bed, to the spacious kitchen, to the stunning lanai...where you'll want to spend most of your time. The pool is only a few steps away but you'll want to keep walking to the secluded beach across the street where soft sand and warm water await you. They say location is everything and that couldn't be more true with the Hale Kamaole complex and this fantastic suite. Mahalo!

Don't miss the amazing cinnamon rolls just up the street at The Cinnamon Roll Place. Just north on S. Kihei Rd is Dolphin Plaza with a nice nail salon (La Fluer Plumeria) there is also a great massage gal there. She provides great Lomi Lomi technique in a casual atmosphere. Also there is great "world market" for trinkets and delicious gelato and bagel shops.
