Completely renovated and continuously upgraded three bedroom, two bathroom condominium facing the ocean on the first floor in the Island House at Sea Colony. PERSONALLY MANAGED BY OWNER, NOT A MANAGEMENT COMPANY. *PLEASE NOTE: nightly rate displayed includes cleaning fee and service fee charged by VRBO.
This is a ground floor unit that is steps away from the beach through our patio doors-no waiting for the elevators! Unit is upgraded every winter to insure all appliances and furniture are in excellent working condition. Fully renovated and stocked kitchen with various size pots and pans, utensils including chef and paring knives, dishes for indoor and outdoor dining, wine and cocktail glassware, rice cooker, slow cooker, waffle maker, keurig and drip coffee maker, electric tea kettle, refrigerator with icemaker and filtered water, and full size electric stove and microwave. Flat screen, smart TVs in all rooms, available for login to your favorite streaming channels. Hard wood flooring throughout main rooms. Living room features a large sectional sofa with full-size pullout mattress, 60 inch TV and credenza with assorted games for kids and adults. Dining table seats six with additional seating for two at the serving counter. Island House is on the southern end of the Sea Colony collection of buildings resulting in very little foot traffic in the hallways or on the promenade. Very quiet!
Guests must provide sheets & towels. Rental linens are available from local providers. Please inquire for referrals. Comforters, extra blankets and pillows are provided in unit. All beds are extremely comfortable.
Primary bedroom has a king bed and adjoining master bath with shower/tub, generous counter space and cabinetry.
2nd (front) bedroom has a queen-sized bed, nightstands and closet. 3rd (back) bedroom furnished with a twin-over-double bunk bed, nightstands, reading chair and lamp, and closet. Hall bathroom has generously sized standing shower with rain head and hand held shower spray. Brand new stacked washer/dryer in hall closet.
Table, chairs and umbrella are provided for outdoor dining on patio. Beach chairs (8) and beach umbrella(s) are available to guests in the lockers underneath the building.
Elevators and stairs to the ground floor parking lot are steps away. Unit is equipped with a keyless entry system.
Sea Colony has installed a comprehensive smoke/CO monitoring system throughout the complex that communicates with local firefighting units in event of an incident. Sea Colony Security personnel are available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Sea Colony has 2 large gyms with cardio and weight equipment. Fitness classes are available at an additional per-class charge. All indoor pools/hot tubs are open year-round. Outdoor pools are open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day, and a select few are open into the fall months of October/November.
Additional fees: Guests will need to pay an Activity fee to the Sea Colony resort which covers use of all recreational facilities and the private guarded beaches, scheduled activities, use of the tram and parking. This is a required resort fee paid directly to the resort at arrival and applies to all guests, ages 4 and older without exception. These fees are set by Sea Colony Recreation Association and homeowner is not responsible for fee collection or distribution of badges or parking passes.

I grew up in the Philadelphia area and my husband Vince is from Northern Virginia. We met while working and studying in NYC. We have always loved the beach and spent many vacation weeks at various beaches up and down the East Coast and in California.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Visiting a friend at Sea Colony with my then grade school age children, I fell in love with Bethany Beach. The immaculate beach, the quiet town, the excellent restaurants and the oceanfront family environment provided by the Sea Colony complex all beckoned to me. When I told Vince I wanted to buy a condo that had just come on the market, he happily agreed. We completed a gut renovation to our condo that year and have spent many relaxing weeks in it, both during the summer and in the off season. We hope your family finds it as comfortable and beautiful as we do, and comes back to enjoy the summer pleasures that Bethany offers again and again.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
We love the privacy of our unit. It is the last of the 9 Sea Colony buildings and far enough away from the center of the complex that there is a sense of privacy. Because we step directly from our unit onto the promenade, we rarely use the elevator and have easy access from the beach to our unit when we need a break from the sun. We are also steps away from the outdoor pool shared by Island and Harbor Houses and a few more minutes walk from the larger indoor/outdoor pools and fitness area in the Edgewater complex. Edgewater also has a small convenience store for those mornings when we run out of half-and-half for our coffee!
