About Berrie Ives

We live in the area and love it! Brian was raised just a few miles west in Green Mountain Falls. Berrie grew up in Florida and other places, but has called Colorado home since 2000.

Berrie Ives purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Berrie Ives chose South Central

We fell in love with the views and the history of the house. It was previously owned by the famed Unser racing family. We are big fans of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and enjoy knowing that our home is permanently affiliated with the race. The area is perfect for nature lovers and we take advantage of the trails and scenery at every opportunity.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is perfectly situated between the beautiful city of Colorado springs and the mountains of Ute pass and beyond. You can be downtown or deep into the forest in a matter of minutes. The elevation makes for cooler summer days and the views are awe inspiring. Woodland park is seven miles west with shopping, restaurants and lots of fun activities.

Thanksgiving in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully appointed home, lovely mother as a neighbor, great location to get around to all the sites. Make sure you have four wheel drive to get up the driveway. But having the deer visit every morning was a bonus.

Beautiful, well-supplied cabin with a great location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our month-long stay in this beautifully decorated, well-supplied home. Had everything we needed and is close to Green Mountain Falls for walks and hiking. Was a great location for us also to spend time with our son and his family in Colorado Springs.

This cabin was perfect for us.

  • 5 of 5

Centrally located, this cabin gave us the hub to visit many things in this area. The driveway was a little difficult at first but not a real problem. We will definitely check with VRBO next time we visit the area.
