About this property
Farmhouse On The River
This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath farmhouse that is located on a 30 acre certified organic farm within the Eugene city boundaries. The farm has over 2,000 feet of frontage on the Willamette River. The farmhouse has been redone but still has the original wooden floors, a fireplace and it is on its own 2 acre lot. Note, it is a home from the 50's and is nice and spacious but is not a deluxe luxury accommodation. There's a big screen TV and very fast wifi and there is a beautiful, quiet setting for you to enjoy.
Each room is decorated with furniture and items from the owner's years of living overseas.
Guests are free to walk to the river (about a 3-4 minute walk), see the horse stables, visit the organic farm (or even pitch in and help if they desire!) Due to our busy farm and our dogs, we ask that guests arrange a time to walk through the first time.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We really enjoyed our time and the place is beautifully located near riverfront access. It is a real farm-house clean but dont expect super modern. It is interesting to see the international ties. The people are very nice so recommend this place!
Unique property with lots of possibilities! We were thrilled to find an affordable place to stay as Eugene was sold out for UO family weekend. Bring your own pillows if you are driving in. The house and furnishings are tired. It’s all very oddly decorated and old and not particularly comfortable, but a place to sleep which is what we needed. The pillows, bedding, drapes and living room furniture desperately need replacing.
Hosts were extremely communicative and very thoughtful.

Sweet farmhouse, quiet neighborhood, very nice owner.
We would most definitely return to this very nice place. It's in a great location which has a very lovely country feel-- super quiet -- and yet is quite close to town and highway access...the best of both worlds. The house is equipped with everything you need, a nice kitchen (which we didn't really use because we were visiting family), laundry facilities and wifi. The owner is very nice and easy..and nearby which is helpful. It is a farmhouse and therefore has a farmhouse feel about it...not fancy in other words...but roomy and more than adequate. And you'll find interesting books there and signs of an interesting life spent in exotic places. Our dog loved the grass area outside for frisbee playing..kids would too, I imagine. And being able to walk to the nearby river is another delight worth mentioning. I would have given this experience more stars except for a couple of things that could easily be fixed: the lighting in the house is not great. Very harsh and not condusive to reading. Our bed was comfy but most of the other furniture is not very comfortable and there isn't a good arrangement for visiting with others in the living room. As my husband said, "It's not a living room set up for living." Furniture is relegated to far corners with a big open space in the middle. You could certainly pull in chairs from the dining room but that wouldn't be comfortable either. And..again...the lighting is bad. The shower door is really meant for a bathtub so you have to stoop to get in and out...a real head-banger and not great for a bad back. And we had to rig a way to close the bedroom curtains for privacy as there are no shades and the curtains don't really close. (Not that there are close neighbors, but we aren't fans of undressing in front of big dark windows at night.) Since we were always out with family, none of these things presented a big problem for us but fixing these things would make a huge difference, I think. It's not easy to find dog-friendly places in Eugene and of all the ones we've experienced, this one has been the nicest. As I said, we'd go back and feel at home.
Great location near Eugene, but sure felt like your miles away on a farm. Great front porch to sit and drink your morning coffee while listening to farm wake up. Fun to experience living on working farm. This is a true country farmhouse experience with acres of gardens, rosters, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats etc, not a resort style accommodation. Fun to walk around farm, talk to farm crew and easy walk to river.
We knew we found the right place when we pulled in to park in the carport and saw the elaborate rickshaw. This fascinating house is filled with wonderful treasures from all over the world. Some of my favorite things were the very snuggly bed in the master bedroom, the outdoor patio with table and chairs, and the river access. The setting is a classic Oregon organic farm, complete with goats, chickens, turkeys, horses, and pot bellied pigs. Easy river access with park-like grounds and proximity to great hiking and dining make for a truly enjoyable vacation. Our dog loved it as much as we did. The owners were wonderful - helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. We will definitely stay here again.
This location was perfect to get away with a friend for a couple of days. The farmhouse was clean and had everything we needed- kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, great shower! The main amenity was the farm dogs who showed us to the swimming hole (shout out to Abeline and Atticus) :-) host was communicative and available by text for any problems. Otherwise we had the run of the place. We loved our quiet days at the farm!

The wild turkeys were fun to watch. We had to wash all dishes they had a scum on them. Lots of cobwebs and dirty windows We we’re going to vacuum (we had dogs) but the Machine was full of other people’s dirt Yuck. Nice being on a farm again and close to the river
This is a great place to relax! It is exactly as described - not luxurious but clean and cozy. You will get to see an operating farm and you can get as involved as you want (or don't). The location is awesome - we used it as home base for checking out University of Oregon and surrounding area.
My husband and I were in Eugene for a very short time, but would highly recommend this beautifully decorated farm house to everyone! We had complete privacy, but were welcomed to walk the entire amazing property and our kindest host was immediately available if we had any needs, which we did not. Extremely thoughtful and a perfect example for VRBO.
Shaundele was very responsive and my friends and I loved staying at this home. The love the owners have put into decorating this place with all their art from their travels makes for a unique experience. Having great organic produce so close by on River Road is a treat. We didn’t get a chance to explore the land or rivers nearby much, but loved the turkeys, dog, roosters for company. The style of the house is of a certain time, so it’s not about the mod cons, but the experience of ‘warm and cosy’. The place is large and well equipped with all that we needed. Thank you!
We were only at the farm late each day due to business constraints, so we didn't get to appreciate it as we might have otherwise. The house was clean and comfortable, though dated, but the travel decor made it special. It did lack a good reading lamp in the living room. Regardless, it was wonderful to have such a quiet place to wind down at the end of the day, and the owner was most accommodating.
Stayed at this property during a large volleyball tournament. Wish we had more time to explore the farm. Even purchased delicious eggs from the farm! The girls loved the décor and the fact that we could get away from the insanity of the tournament. Owner communication was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Our stay was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the access to the farm and visiting with the animals. Shaundele was an excellent host. The farm employees were very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay.
This was a perfect find for us. We wanted to get away, relax, and decompress while visiting our daughter in Eugene. We also needed a space that would be great for our dog, where we could spread out a bit, and do our own cooking. This hit all the marks and more. We had a great time exploring the farm and learning about organic farming--my wife and son even had a chance to volunteer one morning and enjoyed the experience of working with the animals and learning about some of the different techniques. Our dog loved having a small yard to play in, and we all appreciated access to the river. It was just a very enjoyable and unique experience that we look forward to repeating when we come back to Eugene.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The setting is serene and quiet, and the farm animals at the property are lots of fun to watch! Great place of you're looking to escape it all!
