About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8

This impressive condo is a must-visit Crested Butte vacation rental any time of year. With a location close to the slopes and amenities such as a shared hot tub, everyone will love it here.

At this Snowcrest condo in Gunnison National Forest, you can enjoy a shared hot tub and a luxurious layout. Take a short jaunt across the foot bridge to reach the village at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and access to Rocky Mountain skiing and trails. If it's too cold, just hop on the free shuttle. A 30- to 40-minute drive away is Gunnison River and closer yet is Meridian Lake (a short 15 minute drive).

The focal point of this condo is the glamorous recently renovated living room and open kitchen area. In the center of the space, surrounded by plush white carpet and lots of beautifully brand new seating, is a wood-burning fireplace. Here, you can take in the scenery through the huge windows or out on the deck, play a game with your fellow guests, or watch a movie on cable.

Before hitting the slopes, you can prep a fortifying meal in the fully stocked kitchen. Everyone can dine together at the table and kitchen counter, then load the dishwasher and head out.

This condo has four sleeping areas so that all eight visitors have a spot to rest up. The loft has two twin-size beds. Upstairs is one room with a queen and another with a second queen bed. In the living room you'll find a pull-out sofa bed, too. There are even two full bathrooms here! And, if needed you can use the coin-operated laundry facilities.

The Crested Butte Mountain Resort is enjoyable any time of year. In winter you'll want to go downhill skiing, tubing, and snowboarding. Any season here is a good one for a spa visit, shopping, and fine dining. Plus, the building's shared hot tub fits up to 10!

In the warmer months, the resort offers Evolution Bike Park for mountain bicyclists. Just 15 minutes away is Meridian Lake for fishers and boaters. More watersports can be experienced at least a half hour away at Gunnison River.

For your next Colorado getaway, this wonderful vacation rental is the place to stay!

About Vacasa, CO - Gunnison County Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

The location of this condo was perfect. We had a clear view of Mt. Crested Butte and could also see down the way to town. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the mountain bikers. Everything you need is just minutes away. Good shopping, restaurants, hiking and biking trails. The reason I only gave four stars is primarily due to all the stairs you have to traverse. There are several stairs outside to get to the condo from the parking lot plus the stairs inside. It makes getting your gear and luggage from place to place a little tiring. The location makes it all worth it though and I would stay here again!

Get what you paid for with great location/views

  • 4 of 5

Great location and amazing view. Great price for the location. Place is run down and dated, which I didn't mind, but the wives would have preferred a more luxurious suite. Hot tub is dinky and jets are broken. Good place to sleep and make a few meals to save money.

Owner's Response: After further inspection, the hot tubs are not broken and are working as normal. Thank you.

Great mountain views!

  • 5 of 5

If you like being close to the mountain resort, this condo is great. The view of the July 4th fireworks from the condo were seats in the house. If you enjoy cycling, you'll love the 2.5 mile climb up to the condo from the town of Crested Butte where the gradient starts out at about 5% and kicks up to over 24% at the top!

Clean, well prepared, amazing location. VERY SHORT WALK TO THE LIFTS

  • 5 of 5

I'm not sure why more people didn't mention this in the reviews however the walk to the slopes is VERY FAST. You walk out the front door and head to the right about 10 steps to a stairway, go down about 10 steps total, and you are at the bridge that crosses the road. Cross the bridge and you are already in the base village and almost to the slopes. The one negative thing that we read about this unit prior to making our reservation was that you have to go through several flights of stairs to get to the unit from the parking lot. This was totally fine since we didn't even use our car again after our arrival. We only left on foot, and mostly to head to the slopes. With this being the case, we much preferred that the unit be further from the parking lot rather than closer as it placed us closer to the bridge that goes to the village. It was not necessary to ever rent a locker at the village as it was close enough to just walk straight from the condo to the slopes in your Ski Boots as well as making a quick stop for lunch / drinks during the day.

Now that I've finished with the location, I will comment that the unit was otherwise very clean and well kept up. It was stocked with everything we needed other than a few extra towels. It had a wood stove with a giant pile of wood on the back porch, and in the welcome documentation you're encouraged to burn wood as necessary as the wood stove is part of the heating plan for the unit. Our party of 8 was very comfortable the entire time. We brought ALL of our groceries with us so that we could make breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day for much cheaper than buying food on the mountain and the kitchen served us very well. The setup of the unit with the sitting area set slightly higher than the kitchen and dining area really opened up the place and made it feel a lot bigger. Overall I would definitely stay at this unit again if my party is this big next time. INCREDIBLE value for what you get!
