At the middle of this beautiful region of Lot et Garonne, called the "French Tuscany", country of gastronomy and art of living in the sun, beautiful farmhouse in the countryside, tranquil setting for a nice holiday.
Old farm completely renovated (250 m²) with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with fireplace, large kitchen (+ if necessary, possibility to rent the guest house with living room, 2 double bedrooms and bathroom with shower for 600€/week)
Outside summer living-room and summer kitchen (100 m²)
Large pool with terrace overlooking the valley
Poolhouse with shower and toilet

Enjoy the siesta under the oak,
A game of petanque in the courtyard,
A game of ping-pong,
A walk in the property of 2 ha.

IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 8 PEOPLE, we rent the annex house, the "guest house", for 600 euros per week (4 people, 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom with shower) ideal for friends or teens.

Great location ruined by "Maison d'amis"

First the worst - after explicitely stating that we would be staying in both the main and guest house (with a baby) in our reservation we found out that the guest house is completely unsuitable for summer stays. No isolation, no cover on the roof windows and no A/C or fans meant a sweltering outside temperature was 100% transferred to this house. Upon further communication with the host (once we were already there) only then she then stated that the guest house was really only suitable for teenagers that would happily trade comfort for independence. Information that would have been great to have prior to paying (20-25% or so) extra for an extra guest house that actually reached temperatures unsuitable for cattle (no joke unfortunately) . The host clearly choose the extra income over being transparant and upfront that this guest house is devoid of comfort, which is very disappointing. Otherwise we could have gone elsewhere that could have comfortably dealt with our group size (main house only has 2 serious bedrooms; 3rd bedroom is bunk beds). We ended up having to invest in all sort of cooling mechanisms (incl. fans) just to get the temperature reading to a safe level. We ended up leaving the fans there so that the next guests would be offered at least a basic level of comfort. Unfortunately this was not our experience and you wouldn't be able to pay me to stay there again. Then the good news - the location and main house are great and if you're travelling with a smaller party (say max 2 couples and their smaller children) this house is great. Good-sized pool with great views, outdoors kitchen (refrigerator has trouble keeping up in the summer but there is another one indoors) for outdoors living and a large shady tree to watch the sun set over the neighbouring village. So a def YES if your party is small and there is no need for the guesthouse but a hard NO if you do need it; you'll need to have a very mild week to get any enjoyment out of that.

Je me permets de répondre à votre avis. Vous avez séjourné chez nous en juillet 2022, en période de canicule qui a frappé l’Europe entière. Le Sud-Ouest de la France a été particulièrement touché. Toutes les maisons ont eu le même problème. Avec de telles températures élevées, la chaleur finit par rentrer dans les maisons. Vous étiez 5 adultes, vos parents désireux de dormir chacun dans une chambre séparée, votre frère et vous deux avec votre petite d’un an. La maison principale n’était occupée que par 3 adultes. Comme c’était difficile avec votre petite fille, nous vous avons suggéré de dormir également dans la maison principale. La «maison d’amis» est en effet une petite maison d’appoint pour les familles et groupes plus nombreux, comme expliqué dans notre descriptif. C’est vrai que le confort n’y est pas du même niveau que celui de la maison principale, mais plus suffisant pour y loger. J’espère que vous garderez néanmoins un bon souvenir de vos vacances à Coustel puisque vous confirmez que l’endroit est magnifique.

Superb: Very peaceful & relaxing

A very relaxing week in a lovely spacious hilltop property. The outdoor kitchen is fabulous, the perfect retreat on a hot summer's day and a great spot for evenings with friends and family. The pool is wonderful, larger than we were expecting. Views are great from pretty much anywhere and the stars at night simply fantastic. We were 2 families traveling together, so hired the Annex as well for some additional space- this worked really well and the Annex was very comfortable.

It’s challenging to give a short description of all the pro’s of our stay in this beautiful setting with all around stunning views, a really charming and comfortable, well equipped holiday house, shed and pool!
